Two of us had a wonderful dining experience here. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the bread was not the soft, fluffy version we've had at other restaurants serving food from this region of the world (Persian). Wish we could remember what all we ordered, but the photos will have to substitute for that. The dessert was firni, made with basmati rice, cardamom, and other ingredients. Business was very slow, on a Sunday evening, but our service was fine. The other customers, judging by their clothing and their language, all seemed to be from areas where this food would be their daily food. I give up! have tried to upload 5 photos, none uploaded, now can not upload the photo of the firni, which was so beautifully presented!

This is a great addition to Main Street/Canisius. There is no doubt the food here is delicious. It's a limited menu of Afghani and Persian favorites, but everything tastes fresh and made with love. The portions are huge too and the meat is halal. But this place is still a work in progress. First, there is no clear indication of their hours of operation. It looks like they are closed on Mondays, but the hours are not posted anywhere. I've also showed up at 11 am, when they are supposed to be open, and then someone rushed out to open the door for us. My former student and I went there for lunch today (Sunday at noon), and walked in to a giant empty room. We sat down and chatted for a good 15 min. Then, I went to look for someone, and found an employee who looked totally drained. It's like he was either too sleepy or hungover to know anyone had walked in and made no effort to see if there were customers. I really wish they had started small and not opened a massive restaurant from the start.

Dined in on Saturday 9/6/2025. Amazing Persian cuisine! Just wow! Grilled meats (beef kabob "kubideh" and chicken "saffron tikka kabob" ) and saffron (the most expensive spice in the world) infused basmati rice so fluffy and flavorful. You got to try this melt in your mouth cuisine. Priced right for this quality and quantity. So excited Saffron Kitchen is in the city of Buffalo! We need more Middle Eastern food especially Persian. Friendly service. The classic Persian hospitality and warmth! Parking in front of their door on Main Street. They also have a parking lot on the side street next to their building. Interesting fact: they are exactly where the old Record Theatre was! Buffalonians will remember. A beautiful transformation of this site. They are expecting to host banquets and large gatherings. The dining area is spacious and elegant. White tablecloths. Bright lighting and clean. 5/5 all around! You should put this new restaurant on your list!

Saffron Tikka Kabob This dish was tender and full of flavor and accompanied by fresh ingredients.

The man I talked to who prepared my food is from Jerusalem, it was very cool hearing his story and seeing the passion he has for cooking food from his beloved Homeland. I live near fredonia and making the trip all the way out here was certainly worth it.

(I thought I detected salt, pepper and allspice among others; it was truly delicious!) Throughout the restaurant were blinking "Ramadan Kareem" signs in multicolors: It was very cheerful. Most of the food is done take-out, either by customers arriving for pickup, or delivery by service. If you care to sit, the restaurant is galley-shaped: Food prep area on the left, comfortable chairs and bench seats on the right. The menu is huge and varied. I had the lamb shawarma, and because it was after 2pm, I could no longer order it a la carte. However, this was a blessing as the combo gave me a chance to try more of their food, and everything was delicious. The prices were very reasonable. There are posted signs at the register that a surcharge of 3.5% is added unless you're paying cash. I'm looking forward to returning with my family for their lentil soup, fattoush salad, babaganoush, and hummus. Chilled beverages and tea for purchase; no alcohol allowed on the premises. Very family friendly.

Another trip to the West Side Bizarre and another delicious meal consumed. This week it was M Asian…read moreHalal Foods that filled my stomach for dinner and they did a pretty darn good job at it. This was my first time having Pakistani since moving to Buffalo but knowing where this place was located was almost a guarantee that is was going to be fantastic. The menu features a lot of unique items that I absolutely need to try in the future (most notably the goat curry) but the chicken biryani is what drew me in on this day. The gentleman working the counter was friendly and and quick to deliver the food when It was done (nice and hot too!). The rice served with this dish would of been enough alone to satisfy me but the chicken that was underneath it gets 2 thumbs up! I can't put my finger on what exactly the flavouring was but it was absolutely delicious in every way. M Asian Halal Foods is another fantastic addition to the West Side Bizarre. If you are hungry and wanting to get something new, give these guys a shot, you will not be disappointed!

So they're talking about having a black guy play James Bond. Idris Elba, I believe, was the front…read morerunner. So my question is... When are they going to make M Asian? The owners of this little stand, apparently, were wondering the same thing. And considering that one of the other amazing places inside the West Side Bazaar is "007 Asian Food", I think they're trying to tell us something. What to get: Chicken Karahi, or Egg Curry. What not to get: garrotted by one of Q's gadgets. Absolutely spectacular Indian food hidden away in the wonderful West Side Bazaar. One of the newer stands this place specializes in the egg Curry and especially the car. Chicken Karahi is a Pakistani specialty which is absolutely delicious. These guys know how to make it. Every bite is absolutely wonderful. Prices under $10 in the portion will fill you up. It's nice and oily just the way I like it. Indian food is a little like Chinese and Mexican food in that (a) there are a massive number of varieties, many of which are nothing like each other, and (b) the majority of people in the US don't know or understand the cuisine whatsoever. What most Americans think is Indian, Chinese or Mexican food is absolutely not. It's probably bland, overly-sugary gentrified crap that was literally invented to sell to Americans, which the majority of people from the culture or country in question, would never go near. Such as the dish "Butter Chicken" which is about as authentic as a Taco Bell taco. And as bland, sugary, and spiceless, too. Yay Murica. What you need to do when you go for Indian or Pakistani food - if you've chosen well and picked a place that has some real Indian food, like this stand does - is to pick dishes that are actually authentic. In this case, the Egg Curry and the Chicken Karahi are both delicious, full of flavour and spice, and must-try dishes. The samosa is also excellent. If you haven't been to the West Side Bazaar, you haven't really experienced Buffalo Cuisine. We have some of the most delicious treats hidden around the region and this place is one of the very best. While you're in here, get a fruit smoothie (no milk, ask for real fruit) from Gourmet Lao, as well as the sticky rice from 007 and the Garlic Chicken soup from the Burmese place across from M Asian. Now I'm going to write to the Broccoli family (and the late Ian Fleming) and Daniel Craig (and Sean Connery) and ask when the hell they are going to make M Asian. Speaking of which, I'll take the rapists for 400. And I want Swords for 600. That's not what your mother said last night Trebek.
