I walked in and asked for my dip to be removed from my nails (they were looking scary). I was promptly seated and the dip was removed and my nails reshaped within 20 minutes. It reminded me of the nail shops of my childhood where soap operas or the news play while you get your nails done.
Friendly service with affordable prices and great quality of work. They have a wide selection of gel and powder dip colors and are always able to color match or recreate the designs I show them. I usually get a powder dip and it can last over a month if I wanted to stretch it for that long. Definitely give them a try if you're looking for a place to get your mani/pedi!
7/19 1:45pm - I walk in for a wax and there is one man and one woman sitting inside without any customers. I ask if they do leg waxing and they both said no waxing. If they don't wax then why do they have so many signs saying they do? Makes me wonder if they just didn't want to serve me. I definitely wasted my gas coming here.

Affordable prices, quick service, and fantastic quality! This is my new go to nail salon. The ambiance isn't the best but it's better than going to a high end nail salon and not liking the quality or worse, having them ruin your nails. The husband and wife duo are super friendly and give great recommendations on color and shape.
My friend and I were looking for a place to do our nails at the last minute that was inexpensive and we discovered this place on Yelp and it was only a couple blocks away from us. There was street parking but the day wasn't busy so it wasn't hard to find. We were greeted by two of the staff, Tina and Vicky (I believe her name was...though I do know her Vietnamese name is Hanh). They had appointments coming up so they were nice to let us know to come back in two hours so that they could take care of us. We weren't pressed for time so we were fine with that and walked across the street to eat lunch and then went to Walmart. Anyways, when we came back, they prepped the foot spa for us and got us situated in the warm foot bath and got the massage chair going (I love it already!). My friend and I wanted a gel manicure and regular pedicure. Both ladies were super nice and made conversation the entire time. They were gentle and gave us a proper foot scrub and massage. I appreciated that they took their time to cut and paint our nails. They weren't rushing and doing sloppy work even though there was another customer at the door. They were very thorough! Tina did both of our gel manicures and she was very good! She also took the time the scrub our hands with the soapy beads, massaged, lotioned, and added cuticle oil to our fingers after it was all done. My friend and I were both happy with the results. I also appreciated the sign that they had saying that customer satisfaction is their priority and if you were unhappy with what they did then they would gladly fix it for you! Fantastic! For my gel manicure and regular pedicure, it only costed me $35! Amazing!
Just wanted my gel off and I walked in. The reception guy did my nail first because the nailtech (his mom?) was busy. He did it so hard that he left me this skin peeling. It hurts! but couldn't say at that moment... but he did it so hard. Are you supposed to file customers' nail really really hard?? (like REALLY)
This place is great!! I love how the ladies are so honest and transparent with what you want, and are very meticulous in their work. Theyre very good at shaping nails, and making sure that it's perfect. I like that they drill and file underneath the nail tips after applying the acrylic powder to get rid of any dried acrylic clumps that get caught underneath. Its such a pet peeve of mine when its just left behind and i have to deal with knowing theres a lump there under my nail. Design wise they are also very detailed and transparent as well. The blue on my left hand got messed up while being painted and she fixed it for me immediately, and when drawing the stripes she couldnt get it just right, so Ivy (i think?) came over and did it to make sure it was perfect. Overall great experience, super kind ladies, definitely will be coming back again!!! Highly recommend!!!!
Today was my 1st time ever going to Sweet Paradise nail salon. I called and made an appointment with Ivy however when i got there Ivy had another lady named Dawn do my nails. I was worried because all the reviews for acrylic nails mention Ivy. I just needed a fill and 1 nail fixed so i didn't want to drive to my nail salon in Costa Mesa but I'm very picky with my nails so i always research before i go to a new shop. I'm very happy with my nails. Dawn did a great job. She is new to this shop but i can tell she has been doing nails for many years. She was fast yet detail oriented and my nails are perfect. I would say the establishment should have 2 $$ signs. They aren't overly pricey but they aren't cheap. The service i got was great so i would return. Ask for Dawn, she's sweet and does and great job. One of my nails broke the same day and i was charged $4 to have it repaired. It should have been free. My 5 star turned into 3.5
After a shopping trip to Walmart last weekend, I decided to hit up Sweet Paradise Nails to get my current gel manicure removed, and get a new one. I called to make an appointment, and the lady asked what I wanted, so I said the aforementioned, and that was that. I arrived in the plaza (had never been over there before) and there was plenty of parking. I walked inside, and the first thing I noticed was how small/dim it was. It's a very tiny salon with not much room, but at least 3-4 pedicure stations and about 4 manicure stations. I was welcomed quickly, and was immediately sat down to get my gel removed by a very young woman who I only presumed to be in high school or something, who was just kickin' it in the salon with her parents or aunts. She was a little rough with the removal and grazed my skin more than twice. She got some cotton and dabbed some alcohol on it and stuck it to my finger and put it inside one of those caps. Problem with that was that there was a lot of alcohol and I could feel it running down my forearm. I ended up just adjusting and sitting with my hands facing downwards instead of flat on the table. After that got removed, I then got switched to another lady. She took off all my gel polish. She was really nice and kind and asked me some questions about my life, asked me my name, etc. I was having a good time by then. Then, she took out the nail clippers and just started clipping all of my nails without me asking her to or having a discussion about the length. Then she asked me "what shape I wanted," and I was kinda confused because all my nails were gone but i said square, and she ended up taking out the plastic/fake nails. I told her that wasn't want I wanted, and she was like "OH. You want another gel manicure? Ahhhhhh" and then she told me to move to another table. So I apologized several times, grabbed my stuff, and moved to the third table. I told the lady here what I wanted, and she was by far the nicest lady that day. She was fast, efficient, and helped me choose my design. I ended up with pink nails with a silver/gold ombre. It wasn't the neatest/prettiest I've had before, but it still looks good. It's been 1 week since I've gotten it, and there are two chips on my right hand which is a bummer, but left hand is good as new. She even gave me a short little arm massage when she was done with my nails. Overall, kind of a weird experience. There is zero to little ambiance in the store--chipped paint, exposed circuits, weird lighting, etc. I've never had to transfer to 3 diff people either. Not the greatest, but certainly not the worst.

Next, noticeable bubbling formed on a few of my nails and she noticed as well as she checked them but made no attempt at correcting them. Nice whole in the wall salon, but I was dissatisfied with my service

Street parking shared with several businesses. My favorite place in the area for gel manicure and pedicure. I've never been disappointed. As of 10/6/23 no waxing services offered at the moment, closed on Sundays. They'll take walk-ins but ideally best to call for an appointment. Very sweet people! Proud to support local. read more

I found this little gem through Yelp. I was in need of a mani-pedi for a party tonight. Ivy did my gel-dipped mani. Tina did my spa pedi. These ladies are AWESOME!! It was my first time getting the gel dip. I wanted to give it a try. I love how my nails turned out. Total was $57- spa pedicure with callous removal, gel-dipped manicure. Great service. I was a walk-in & was taken care of immediately. Thank you! read more
They open at 9:30 AM!!! Not 9am like the card says. Came here for the first time. I got gel polish with diamond designs on there and it only cost me $20!!! The ladies were nice and friendly. The service was good and fast. I didn't make an appointment so I came right when it opened and no one was there even when I left. So I applaud them for their good service and cheap price. But I wish they would update their time on their business card. Another thing, they let me chose a gel color from a variety of nails. I chose a color which was like an off soft white. And then the lady went to the back to get the color and when she put it on me, it was kind of baby pink. The color was not like the sample color at all. But I didn't say anything since I didn't know if they'd charge me extra since the color was already on my nail. Other than that. I'd give this place another shot :) read more

I had such a good experience here! It was my first time, found em on Yelp, and I got a basic spa mani pedi for $27.00 plus tip. Everybody was friendly, kind, and my nails came out great! I scheduled an appointment for 5:00 and I guess things got a little slow earlier in the afternoon so they gave me a call and asked if I was interested in coming earlier. I wasn't able to, but I like that they did that. Tips are cash only and they ask for a separate tip for the person who does the mani and another for the person who does the pedi. read more

My boyfriend told me about this place since he lives around the corner and mentioned they had a window sign Gel Manicure $17. I couldn't believe it so decided to come and try their service. Well, It is the best nail shop in Long Beach! It is a small place but the service is always great. If they are too busy, they ask you to come back. They dont make you wait like other shops. Best to call ahead and make a appointment. The gel manicure has gone up to $20 but it is worth every dollar. Ivy and Vicky are the best at what they do. They take their time and are perfectionists. read more

Came in this morning for a fill. Dawn did my nails and she did an incredible job. She was also very friendly and nice to chat with. My original full set was done somewhere else and It seems they had made them extra thick which wasn't as pretty. Without even asking or charging extra Dawn re-shaped them perfectly and they look so much better! She really took the time and cared about doing a good job on my nails and I appreciate that. read more

Sweet paradise nails located here in Long Beach very nice and nail salon small mom and pop Location great service plenty of colors to choose from I enjoyed it I came in for a pedicure was treated real nice friendly staff and when you come in there it's really awesome I highly recommend them if you haven't had a pedicure this week good time to come out and get when he's guys are nice easy to deal with prices pretty a price is a good my wife comes here so I decided to get one also where my wife gets her petty and she was awesome I enjoyed it I also was able to watch TV here they had the football game on they had a Rams game playing so that was nice to watch a football game while I was here give them a try do not give him a call for an appointment I really enjoyed it I recommend him like I said my wife started going here and so I decided to go ahead and get a pedicure here also so it was good it was worth my money the price is very reasonable come check them out call for an appointment because sometimes it can get crowded but I know they except walkins also They do they do facials and waxing really nice environment they're friendly and they also know how to stay social distancing read more

Don't even bother coming here. Did crappy job on me. This kind of quality I feel like I can do it at home. Just wasted my 30 bucks. I will never ever come back again. I hope they hire more skilled people in the future or train their staff so that they know wht they are doing. So disappointed!! read more

This place is small and always busy. I have been coming here for years and I'm never disappointed. Ivy is the person to see! She is very detailed in her work. She also does amazing designs. Make sure to book your appointment early. This week I went to see Dawn who is another great artist. She is my backup if I can't get Ivy. Loved how my ombré nails turned out. Prices are more reasonable and than the newer shops. They have a wide selection of gel and dip powder colors. read more

Seem like a okay place will come back Came at 9:40 and already 3 people were here ! Anyways gel manicure was $25 and $17 for pedi Will come back again Update : 6/15/2019 it's only been a week and my nails are starting to chip not sure why it's not just one or two nails but 3 nails gel is suppose to last 2 weeks and mine are already chipping even tho it's small chip but still . Hey ladies. I'm thinking of going next week for a gel manicure and if I like it I want to go every 2 weeks afterwards. Does the gel polish actually last and stay nice for a week and a half?
I can only speak for myself but yes. I am constantly washing my hands at work and continue cleaning around my house and I’ve had my gel manicure stay the same.
