The decor in here is very cute with comfortable chairs. There are no servers so order first and then find a seat. I ordered the avocado toast and the Dulce de Leche Crepe. The crepe was delicious and had just the right amount of sweetness. Not too rich, but still very satisfying, strawberries tasted fresh too. For the avocado toast, the avocado topping was fresh and flavorful, but the crust on the avocado toast was very hard, which made it difficult to eat at first. Overall, the food was good and I'd come back to try other items!
This place is so cute! A little small because of how much customers they have! No wonder they were packed when I arrive because of how good their food is! The bagel was very crisp and delicious the avocado toast was so good! The seasonings they put hit so good! 100% recommend
It was an overdue breakfast with a friend and she sent me 3 places to go. I am glad we chose this one. Food was really good. Nothing like them old diners. We picked the two most popular items there since it was our first time. We enjoyed our long breakfast. Thank you! Glad we stopped by!
I went here on a visit when I was in Washington. Very cute little spot with friendly employees. The drinks were fabulous and tasted wonderful, as well as the food being picture perfect and delicious. They were still decorated with a Christmas tree and pink bows, which were adorable. A great place to have a sit down breakfast.
Im a bit sad to write this review because I had a much better experience the first time I visited Sweet Notes Cafe. Unfortunately, the quality and attention to detail didn't seem to be there this time. I ordered the Ube Matcha Latte, but there was no noticeable ube flavor or color--it just tasted like a plain matcha latte. When I asked the server about it, she said that's just how they make it, which was disappointing. There was no real difference between the Ube Matcha and a regular Matcha Latte. The ham, egg, and cheese croissant was also underwhelming--the egg was completely off-center, so I had to adjust it myself. Additionally, someone in my party ordered a Chai Latte with two shots of espresso, but after tasting it, it was clear there was no espresso in it, despite paying extra for the shots. What's frustrating is that we visited during a non-busy time, so the lack of attention to detail in both food and drinks was surprising. If the fun, specialty drinks aren't going to be flavorful or made correctly, you might as well stick to the plain options. Unfortunately, this visit was a letdown.
This cafe is soooo cute! I love pink and this place has so much pink in it! I love it! I've been here several times and I think the only downside is that often times I find that the young ladies at the register are just a little aloof. They don't really engage with the clients and look like they're not very happy being there. Customer service is super important! The food is really good and I do enjoy their coffee as well! My go to is this egg stack that comes with avocado, bacon, tomatoes, it is really tasty! It also does get fairly busy, but it's worth a try!
Visited on a Wednesday afternoon and it was packed, despite it being an hour before close. Servers/cashier did not seem too thrilled about me visiting around that time. Well, except one who was serving my waffles. I ordered a Banana 4 U Matcha and a Banana Foster Waffle. Matcha was seasonal and wasnt as bitter as I hoped it would be. Tasted subtly sweet instead. Banana Foster was not overly sugary and the waffles were fluffy. Generous pieces of waffles, could not finish and had to box it to eat for another day. Overall, I still recommend for a quick treat. Despite the servers, was able to read and enjoy my bite to eat for lunch.
First I have to say that I thought I wrote this review years ago. But I guess I forgot to post it!! I'm so sorry!! My daughter and I came for some drinks to try in 2020. So I started visiting Sweet Notes when they first opened in 2020. Unfortunately a couple months later shut down happened. Then when everyone slowly opened we all came back. Because I have asthma I wasn't able to wear a mask for a long time, and as a vaccine injured person I haven't had vaccines since I was a child, us I'm allergic to most meds. The reason I'm bringing this up was because during the season of wearing mask, and showing vax cards, I asked one of the sisters if she would turn me away for service since I can't do any of what I mentioned. She said no way would she turn me away. She's a small business and I'm welcomed anytime. So I told her that out of every local business around our area, they have my support. So every week since my husband and I have been either dining in or ordering online. At least once a month my friends and I have meetings there, and all my friends frequent as much as they can. Plus the fact the food is amazing. I ordered practically the same thing every time. Hubby gets the avocado egg Bennie, I get avocado toast, and lovers crepe. Lately my hubby has been ordering the egg stack keto since we are getting older and trying to get healthy. I love their white peach iced tea that's really refreshing. I probably should try other items on their menu but I love what I get every time. My friends love their sandwiches. The sisters did a great job decorating the place. It's small but quaint, cute instagrammable decor. The one drawback about sweet notes that it's always busy. But I guess that's good for them. So I like to order online, then we pick up when it's ready. Great if you don't like waiting in line, or waiting for a table.
Cute coffee shop. I've been here many times and their coffee is always on point for me. I love that they have seasonal coffee menu and their food is also decent -- pricey but decent. Service is straight forward-- not very engaging. The place could get really busy especially on weekends.
I've been visiting this café for about a year and a half. My first experiences were fine, but the last two visits were really disappointing. The main issue is cleanliness -- the chairs and floors are always dirty, even early in the morning when there are hardly any customers. Many reviews mention this problem, but the owners haven't reacted or made any improvements for at least the past six months. The chairs are still in terrible condition, and nothing changes. During one of my recent visits, there was an incident with a young Spanish-speaking girl at the counter. We asked to have our order "for here" instead of "to go," since a table had just opened up. She rolled her eyes and looked clearly annoyed -- that kind of attitude leaves a bad impression. Prices are also unreasonably high. Two coffees, two sandwiches, and one slice of cheesecake cost us nearly $100 -- much more than many cleaner and nicer cafés in Seattle or Bellevue. Also, during our last visit, there was no latte art on the coffee -- a small detail, but it makes the experience feel special, and it was disappointing not to see it. I'm giving two stars only because the food tastes great and some of the staff (possibly Russian- or Ukrainian-speaking, though I'm not sure) were polite and kind. I truly hope the owners will take the time to look at the photos attached to this review and finally start paying attention to cleanliness and customer feedback. I honestly don't recommend this café to anyone. Yes, the food is tasty and some staff are polite, but everything else -- the dining area, the furniture, and the overall cleanliness -- is in terrible condition. For the same price, you can go downtown or to Bellevue, enjoy much better food in a clean, pleasant, and comfortable place where you don't have to worry about getting your clothes dirty just by sitting down.
This was my first time at Sweet Notes café and I cannot wait to go back. This is the cutest place I've ever found in the Kent/Covington area and I am telling everyone I know about this place. The decor, the menu, the photo walls, food, EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. I literally couldn't find a single thing wrong with this place. I had the "our way" avocado toast with a poached egg instead of a hard egg and a iced white mocha and everything was amazing. The menu is extensive and I believe there's some thing on there for everyone. The prices are a little elevated but I think it's worth it. I was watching what was coming out of the kitchen and I wanted to eat everything. I'm taking my children back this weekend to try more items. I cannot wait. The staff was friendly and they were consistently busy. I hope this place stays in business. read more
Amazing coffee, good food breakfast selection (crepes, waffles, açaí and more), atmosphere is nice, prices are okay. Perfect for girl's brunch with cute chairs, a nice cafe shop in Kent. With small space, not a lot of tables and chairs, always packed, it's still a go-to neighborhood spot! read more

Little hidden gem in Kent, WA - cute little cafe that serves brunch. They have plenty of brunch options such as: - Various of Bowl options like Acai Simplicity and Nutty Strawberry - Sweet Treats such as Waffles & Crepes - Hot and Cold Beverages - Savory Treats such as Chicken Avocado Club and Ham & Egg Croissant. Their food and drinks are amazing and well-presented! They have plenty of seatings for dine-in inside and outside the cafe, first come first serve basis. Open from 8am to 3:30pm daily and have eye pleasing and encouraging designs/quotes inside their cafe. Staff are friendly and nice. read more

Food was good and instagram-worthy. We ordered waffles and portobello sandwich but it took 30 minutes. So if you are in a rush, this is not the place. I also noticed that the price on their menu doesn't match what we were charged on the receipt. Sandwich is $14.50 and waffles is $14.25 on the menu but we were charged $15 for each. Horchata was $4.65 but we were charged $5. Overall, good experience but I wish they update their menu for the correct prices. Or even post a warning that the prices have gone up. read more
I seldom get yogurt bowls because I always think they are overrated and like not worth the money but this sounded so good (despite the cold). It was like 7 bucks and some change so not terrible and the amount of yogurt in there was a lot! The banana split yogurt bowl was definitely worth it. Personally, it was super good. The Greek yogurt was just sweet enough, the fruit fresh and flavorful, even the coconut flakes and granola can't be beat, added a really good texture. Atmosphere was loud and packed (I got it to go), my partner went to another place while I was ordering and got her food before I did. I think the wait was around 20 minutes, which makes sense for being a Saturday morning but had I known, I don't think I would have ordered/waited. Shop itself is very cute and very trendy. read more

This has to be my umph time brunching here with my daughters. We love supporting small women own businesses. And this is close to home so it's a win win!! Love love love the customer service here. Food is good and drinks are delicious! The girls would always get their dessert breakfast platter. And I would always go for their avocado toast with added pumpkin seeds. I love it that they have a vegan options for some of their menu items for folks that are vegan or vegetarian. A+++ in my book! Line is long around 10am. So plan your trip accordingly!! read more

Cute little coffee shop right in Kent! Got myself their sweet notes latte and it's definitely a sweet coffee drink which I liked. I wish it had a stronger coffee taste so next time, I'll ask if they can add a shot of espresso or something. The staff was friendly taking my order and they were quick with my drink. The inside was cute and plenty of chairs to dine in or come sit down to study for a little bit. Lots of parking since it's in a plaza with other shops. read more

Came here for a numerous time to get coffee after my TJ's run. I really like the atmosphere filled with cute wall decor to take pictures. The place wasn't packed at the time I went but it can get really busy on the weekends. I normally ordered their vanilla latte which taste so much better than Starbucks. I haven't tried their food items yet but it looks so delicious! Will have to give it a try when I want to dine in. read more

Such a cute, feminine cafe right next to one of my go to grocery stores, how convenient right! The food here is creative and fun, not to mention delicious! Friendly staff, and service is fairly quick even when they're busy during lunch hour. This last time I shared the banana Foster waffle, TO DIE FOR, and also ordered the tropical açaí bowl with peanut butter added on top. My friend had the avocado benny toast. Plenty of parking! read more
I haven't had a bubble waffle in months. I've been to Over the Rainbow in the Renton Highlands and Happy Lemon in Southcenter and they make pretty good bubble waffles. After a Trader Joe's run my fam member and I decided to stop by for a sweet treat. Good thing they had a full crew cuz they were super busy. Line was to the door, order tickets were lined up on the wall, and all the tables and counter space were filled. Mind you this was the weekend around lunch time. Staff made sure to clean up tables after customers left. The gal at the register was super friendly. The wait time was about 15 min. The bubble waffle was pretty good! read more

This place is so cute!!! Super clean and bright. Workers greeted me as soon as I walked in and handed me their menu and told me to feel free to ask any questions. I ended up getting their avocado toast to go and their americano. First of all, the avocado toast was sooo good and filling. The plating looked appetizing but the taste was even better. I got an avocado toast from other places and didn't have high hopes from my last experience but this one was definitely worth it. The americano tasted perfect. Nice and smooth with a bit of nuttiness. I really enjoyed my visit and I recommend giving this place a go! read more

SCRUMPTIOUS! Depending on what you get it's pricey, but worth the cost. The ingredients are top notch and the care taken creating each plate makes every bit that much better. It's a small place, not great for large parties. We sat down with 5 people (4 adults & a toddler) and it was a tight fit. The decor is as beautiful as the plates of food. Perfect for a girl's brunch with the pink chairs and gold accents. Food is great, coffee and drinks are great, atmosphere is good, prices are okay. Definitely worth going!! I'll be back! read more

The food was pretty good, and the atmosphere was amazing! But, as other reviews have said... the service was lacking. There seemed to be a lack of understanding of the restaurant business, and dirty dishes were stacked everywhere. The picture below sat like this for 24 mjn (I timed it, I'm sorry about it, but I just felt so gross being surrounded by dirty dishes!). Eventually, customers started stacking them so that they had somewhere to sit. Also, the music is loud and they operate by calling out names and you go get your order when it's ready. Basically, loud music and this model don't mix well. Either keep the music down so you can calmly say customers names, or have loud music and number system and delivery or something. But a women shouting names repeatedly over loud music makes it hard to enjoy a meal. So, either be ok being surrounded with filth, or go when it's not busy. I left feeling anxious and gross after being surrounded with dirty dishes and shouted at while trying to eat. read more

What do crepes, sandwiches, open-faced toasts, and generous coffee menu all spell out... BRUNCH SPOT! Sweet Notes Cafe is one of those places you can spontaneously decide to hit up on a Saturday for your caffeine fix & brunch and you won't walk away disappointed. I recommend the open-faced toasts and the crepes over the sandwich ! With a cute photo wall dressed in faux greenery and accents of pink throughout the restaurant, this place is sure to illicit an "aww" response from your mom or girlfriends! read more

I came on a Monday sometimes around 11 they was already having couple of tables. The food came out quick and it started getting busy. Food was great. Customer service was awesome. I recommend this place if you want to have a nice lunch take beautiful pictures good place for kids. read more
