They completely forgot about my order until I had said something out of frustration from waiting for a simple acai bowl. To top it off when I told them that I have been waiting for over almost a whole hour for an acai bowl... they simply just had to walk over to the fridge and pull out a PRE-MADE BOWL. I learned about this café from my daughter--we both love cafés! While I haven't been inside personally, I've always waited outside while my daughter grabs our order to go. Drove out for this place & it was a fairly pleasant experience. The place is fairly small. When we got there at 9:30am it was a hull house. We had to wait for a table to become available. It gets pretty crowded even on weekdays, so be prepared for a line if you plan to go on a weekend. They may have been short staffed on the day that I went, but a number of seats were unavailable for awhile because they had not yet been bussed/cleared out, limiting space for customers. Times are tough though, and it's understandable! Was impressed by the great selection of both sweet an savory food options (various acai bowls, crepes, waffles, sandwiches, toasts, and pastries). Such a cute and delicious breakfast spot near my house!! I am so excited that it exceeded my expectations!! My friend and I wanted to try all the things so we got 3 things to share. It's a nice looking place with good food but it's always so packed with barely any seats available when I get there. The rose matcha has no rose flavor and it's just matcha.. personally I feel like they should just change their names cause it's very misleading and seeing another review that mentioned it, I'm glad I wasn't alone on that. One of my new favorites in the Kent area. I've been dying to go here because I've heard good things and they have such cute decor! They can get pretty busy weekend mornings so there's been times where there's a line or we've had to wait for a table. But, staff clean up and make that wait as short as they can. I haven't tried anything savory yet but that's on definitely what I'm looking to get next when I visit. I've tried a few crepes and their coffees. We stopped by on a Sunday morning a bit before 10am to grab drinks to go and there was no wait. My husband ordered a horchata latte, I ordered a strawberry matcha, and we got a plain croissant for our toddler. Service is prompt and friendly - they actually walked around the counter to drop our order off at the table we were waiting at. Our drinks tasted great and their pastries are large and fresh. Inside is very picturesque (esp. the flower wall) and we like the location considering it's next to Trader Joe's. Recommendations: Horchata Latte - the espresso they use is delicious and this drink is so unique - it's sweet but not that sickening sweet I typically get with flavored espresso beverages Berry Cheesy Crepe - you can't go wrong! This crepe is mixed with a sweet cream cheese filling cut up fruit and I love it! Athena Toast - this one has been a recent discovery and I absolutely love it, really nice savory option! The ambiance is super cute and they have a few very cute spots for some Instagram pics :) although I definitely come back for the food and to support a small, local business. I've walked past this café for years and never brought myself to walk inside. Today I decided that's I should give it a try since it's local and close to home, Sweet Notes is a A lovely café, beautiful inside. Walked to the counter to order staff said to let them know when o was ready, not as warm and friendly as I read on the reviews but still nice. I am walking distance from this cafe, and I must say, I am definitely a regular. The coffee is always on point, specifically the BulletProof one. I enjoy the way I feel after I finish having it. Their toasts and crepes are a must try! I love the Mediterranean toast and the berry crepe. They used to have the BEST MACAROONS in the world!!! Please bring those back. I'd stop by to just get some to go. I think the lady / vendor no longer is providing that service? Regardless, the croissants and baked goods are a great alternative. The sitting situation is great, and I love having conversations with friends. It can get a bit tight, but that is only because of how many people walk in and out.
