Just get the cinnamon roll and skip everything else if it's your first time here. Not that other items are bad, but this place's specialty is cinnamon rolls. They keep them in a warmer so they're always nice and warm when you get them. You can add icing for additional cost, which is a must even if you don't have a sweet tooth. It was so good. It's definitely one of the best cinnamon rolls I had. I also got an apple cinnamon roll and peanut butter fudge cup, but they weren't nearly as good as the regular cinnamon roll. Another ditzy moment. I saw someone having a slice of cake that looked amazing while having bunch that I needed to hunt this place down. Of course it was Sweet Jill with all the amazing cake slices and fresh baked pastries. This location is smaller than Belmont shores but both on an amazing street. Stores and restaurants along the front. Of course same, they're cash only. I noticed one of the cakes that was excellent at the other location that it was a must again. Plus the coconut cake was different here. It was strawberry coconut which we had to try it out. And of course their cinnamon roll. It's an additional fee if you wanted glaze on it. Wouldn't it just be easier to add it to the fee already. Guess it gives people the option if they want it or not. The fresh baked goods are alway tasty and delicious. You know how the best part of a cinnamon roll is the middle, because it's softer? That isn't the case here, in the best way. The entire cinnamon roll is soft and delicious! You do have to pay an extra $0.50 for the icing but it's definitely worth it. The cinnamon rolls are literally the best I've ever had in my life. Perfectly warm, rich in that cinnamon flavor and oozing with the gooey icing. My husband and I also got a piece of the coconut cake which was moist and rich in flavor. The coconut flakes were not overbearing throughout the cake and the icing with the flakes was perfect. Truly one of the best pieces of coconut I have had. Lastly, we also tried the almond coffee cake and it was equally tasty. However, I did not taste much coffee. The almond and blueberries in the cake were really good and the cake itself was delicious, I just wish it had a richer coffee flavor. Unfortunately, Sweet jill's is cash only so bring at least $20. I did not see the prices posted either just fyi. There is an ATM machine where you can withdraw cash from though. The bakery case at Sweet Jill's is a thing of beauty. Cakes, brownies, cookies, pastries including huge cinnamon rolls and somehow more that I'm forgetting. There are so many beautiful items to choose from it's hard to know where to start. I saw at least 10 things I wanted when I stopped in. I settled on a chocolate chip brownie that was super dense and pretty delicious. Service was quick and friendly but it's a cash only business so don't get caught with no paper. It's on the busy Main Street in Seal Beach with street parking or neighborhood parking so be ready to walk a few blocks. A tasting menu would be so fun here - where you could pick five things but smaller slices for example so you can try more of their beautiful creations. They have regular as well but I went with the walnut one, it was paired with drizzled icing on top and was absolutely positively delicious . You won't be disappointed on a lot of treats. I do believe they have one of the better cinnamon rolls, the cinnamon wasn't as fresh this time around so it wasn't gooey like it usually is. Still, it is very good and I literally can't complain. Sweet jill's is filled with so many sweets that you don't even know where to start. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out what I wanted. This place has brownies, cookies, sheet cakes, cinnamon buns, coffee cakes, and much more. I ended up picking up two items for myself. I got a slice of the cinnamon bun and banana nut sheet cake. I thought the cinnamon bun did not have much flavors and was too doughy for me. It seen like it needed to be cooked a bit longer. My favorite was the banana nut sheet cake! It was super sweet, super moist, and super yummy! This is not a cake I can eat every day but I will be back for the special occasion. We went to Seal Beach yesterday and had dessert at Jill's Sweet Bakery which is right near the pier on Main Street. The first thing you notice about this bakery is the amazing smell. I ordered a carrot upside cake (super good, I highly recommend it) I also bought 2 cinnamon rolls one regular and one with pecans. All the cakes slices and cheesecake slices and cinnamon rolls are ginormous with a size value for the money. The cookies are extremely dry and crunchy. They are not soft. I prefer soft cookies so they are not it for me. I can see why people love their cinnamon rolls. They are sweet and full of cinnamon. The German chocolate cake was rich and sweet. The frosting was delightful. They have a sign that says cash only. If you use Apple Pay or a credit card they will 3.5% to your bill as a fee. I didn't have cash so used AP. This place isn't cheap, they definitely charge boutique pricing for their fresh baked goods and good for them. The service is fast and friendly. My opinion is that the inconveniences of the parking difficulties (by the beach so limited parking), plus the cash only or additional fees, and the higher end pricing does not justify a special trip out here. Just had 1/2 of the nut one with coffee this morning and it was truly remarkable. Super flavorful with rich texture without being overly heavy. Simple, perfect, delicious. I'm really disappointed with my experience. We drove all the way from the Mid-City/West Hollywood area to the Long Beach location, only to find out they were sold out of cinnamon rolls. The employee suggested we try the Seal Beach location and even told us to call ahead. We called twice no answer the first time, and the second time the phone was off the hook and just rang busy. Since we were already out there, we decided to drive to the Seal Beach location anyway, hoping they still had some available. We got there around 9:10 PM, even though their posted closing time is 10 PM, and they were already closed. What made it worse was that someone peeked out from the kitchen and didn't acknowledge us at all no explanation, no apology, nothing. It's really frustrating to go out of your way, follow their suggestion to call ahead, and still end up with no communication and an early closure. Closing almost an hour early and ignoring customers at the door is not okay. I was really looking forward to trying the cinnamon rolls, but this experience completely turned me off. read more

We went were looking forward to our visit to Sweet Jill's in Seal Beach for their cinnamon rolls, but ultimately ended up getting way more than we had originally anticipated! When we walked in there was only one (1) staff member who neither acknowledged us or greeted us, which made us feel a bit dismissive. However today I had the rudest experience with the employee working the closing shift tonight (10/28/25). She was rude to both my partner and I. For example; I saw the lemon bars and was curious about them, so I asked if the lemon bars were more of a sweet lemon or sour lemon flavor. Before I finished my sentence, she rudely snapped at me and said "I don't know anything about the lemon bars" and had an attitude along with it and immediately walked away after picking the item my partner wanted before it. I was genuinely curious and just wanted to ask a question...and to be told that in such a rude way really made my partner and I just wanna leave.
