I was so overwhelmed-clearly on a sugar high without yet taking a bite-and quickly chose the cherry chip, banana and cookies and cream to take home. I promised myself I wouldn't devour all three at once and so far I've made it (and I've been home a whole five minutes!!!) I can excitedly report, the cherry chip is divine-a nice balance of flavors... not too sweet. I'll report back on the others later (or perhaps sooner). The little jewel box that is Sweetie's is in the Plaza Bella shopping center, at Bloomingdale and Bell Shoals... and it shares a big parking lot with Naga Tea, the Green Boutique and The Shrimp Boat. I opted for the twelve (12) mini cupcakes for about $24 and one six (6) gluten free mini cupcakes for about $15. It was a bit pricey but felt it was going to be worth it. Delivery came on time and the delivery driver was kind and very aware of the mini cupcakes, so they weren't ruined. While I understood we were getting a nice variety for the twelve minis, we couldn't pick or choose as we ordered online and it was being delivered. When received we did received a nice assortment but it would have been nice to see what were the flavors, maybe a sticker on bottom so people knew what they were getting. The cupcakes were really tiny, literally bite size. Decorated nicely. The frosting was over powering which made it super sweet. The cupcake itself was a bit dry and no flavor, which I guess was good cuz then it truly would have been over the top sweet. I don't want to knock the cupcakes or the business as I see her cakes are amazing but for the price it wasn't the best cupcakes. They left everyone lacking. As small as the mini cupcakes were they didn't go as quickly, normally desserts are the first to go. Just a bit disappointing, but I am optimistic and next time on an occasion I will try the cakes.
