Pair it with a jugo de parcha My boyfriend is from Puerto Rico, and this place brought back so many memories for him. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. They even had their son training, and he was doing a great job! You can tell a lot of the customers are regulars, which made the atmosphere feel warm and welcoming. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in the area!

Imagine being in such bad pain and needing a root canal but your brain drifts off to cupcake land! I was intrigued by Anthony's story. He started baking and perfecting his mom, Selina's, red velvet cupcake recipe. Once they were as good as Moms, he began selling them on FB to help raise money for his mom's breast cancer treatment! How could any human not be moved by that business model!?! I went home and looked them up on FB and "Liked" their page. I carefully read the order details and didn't hesitate to order my first dozen red velvet cupcakes! Please keep in mind, Selina's only sells red velvet with cream cheese cupcakes or a full cake. I messaged Anthony with my first order to be delivered a few days later, on a Saturday afternoon. The cost was $15 (plus tax) for the 12 cupcakes and $3 delivery fee. Saturday came and knock knock on my door.... there's a sweet young man smiling at me and handing me the MOST DELICIOUS red velvet cupcakes I have ever eaten! The cream cheese frosting was so creamy and smooth. Definitely not grainy like most! I know he makes his mama proud! My middle son is picker than picky and raved about these. He helped polish off the dozen and then asked when I was ordering again!? I have since ordered once more and it was consistently as amazing as the first time! And don't forget to tip Anthony!!!

Out of curiosity, I decided to step inside and explore. The server was very friendly and guided me through the various sweet options available. I decided to try the Flan from their menu. After lunch, we enjoyed the Flan, and it was absolutely delicious. The taste was perfect, with a smooth and creamy texture that we loved. I'm looking forward to returning soon to explore more of the bakery's offerings!

One of them recently sold their business to Ricopan. That's very sad, because I really loved their guava & cheese quesitos and turnovers. This particular bakery is in a shopping plaza on the corner of Kingsway & Windhorst Rd. I was greeted right away by a very pleasant gentleman. He offered samples of bread pudding. It had good flavor, but the texture was different than what I'm used to. My aunt used to make the best bread pudding. I really need to stop comparing things to what I've had in the past. I decided to get the mallorca with ham & cheese, some pastries, and a café con leche. The coffee was very good. I like that he made it stronger for me. The sandwich had a nice presentation, but there wasn't much filling. They used American cheese instead of a white cheese. Let's just say that it's not my favorite mallorca sandwich in the area. As for the mallorca pastry/bread, it just didn't taste as good as what I've had on the island. I like the sweeter & softer version. However, I do like the tornillos, palmeras, and quesitos. This bakery has a lot of potential. It was somewhat busy on a weekday morning. Hopefully they do well in this area. I really need to go back to try other things like the filled donuts. I did see flan, flancocho, tembleque, and tres leches in the case. I'm just picky when it comes to anything Puerto Rican. Both sides of my family used to make some amazing comida. Please don't let my review discourage you. Try it for yourself.

I WILL be having that meatball sub soon! Yummmm! Then Robby (I believe that's his name), the owner, got sneaky and brought us both a mini cannoli! Holy cannoli! How can a cannoli be crunchy and creamy and light at the same time? idk but it was! This place also has items you can buy all from Italy! After driving 30 minutes to that place in Plant City and realizing this, we decided, "why not drive some more?". Josephine's was on my radar due to their great reviews across multiple platforms, so we drove another 20-30 minutes to check it out. We arrived at the unsuspecting strip plaza, walked in to what was just one well lit, cozy strip in the plaza and were immediately greeted by Robby, the owner, who asked us if it was our first time in. We let him know that it was, and he proceeded to educate us on everything they have to offer, from their bar, their sandwiches, pizzas, salads, pastas, grocery and so on... the meatball sandwich was calling my name, along with their pizzas and their pastas - so many choices! I did land on the meatball sandwich and got a bag of chips and a glass of wine while my friend got the Italian salad and a coke. For note, this ran us about $45. It was well worth it. The meatball sandwich was 10" and was stuffed with fully ground beef meatballs, seasoned well and very cheesy - so good. I tasted the salad and it was great as well, with plenty of parmesan cheese to cover up the taste of leaves that I was consuming (I'm not a vegetables guy still). While we were dining at the bar, Robby took a bit more time to tell us how the store came to be, being named after his grandmother who, though she wasn't around to see what he had started, would no doubt be very proud as his/his employee service was excellent and the food was no different. At the end of our experience, Robby took our payment and we explored the store a bit. Robby was kind enough to offer me two of their mini cannolis and my friend a scoop of their salted caramel gelato on the house as a way of saying thank you for coming in; again, EXCELLENT service. Since leaving there yesterday, I have recommended the place to 7 people and will continue recommending it to more people due to their great value, service and delicious food. Huge thanks to Robby and the team at Josephine's for knowing how to do things the right way. I'll definitely be back.
