In a world saturated with franchise concepts, I enjoy seeking out independently owned businesses. When I stepped into Breezy Bakery, I was instantly greeted with warmth and friendliness. The shelves had a smattering of different treats - not enough to overwhelm you, but enough to satisfy whatever craving motivated you to walk through their doors. As someone who comes from a long line of bakers, and parents who own a bakery in NYC. I am always looking for a good bakery or pastry shop . Unfortunately this one was just average . These are the things I bought and tired . This is what the review is based off of . Cannoli: 1/10 : unfortunately, this one was just awful. The shell was crispy however, the filling was not good . The texture and taste were off . Not at all a traditional cannoli. Almond croissant: 9/10: this was the only thing that was good. I had a perfectly crunchy outside with a soft inside. The inside almond filling was not overwhelming overall a very good pastry. Red velvet cake pop: 0/10: this was the worst thing that I tried. It tasted like it sat in the fridge for way too long. It had a fridge /freezer burn taste. The cake even tasted stale . Stay away from the cake pops . chocolate brownie : 2/10 this taste it more like a fudgy flourless cake , then a decadent chocolate brownie. The icing had no flavor to it. only good thing it was moist and not dry. Apple danish : 5/10 overall, it was decent. But it tasted like something you could get at a fresh market or even Publix. There is nothing really special about it. read more

Wow! I have to say I'm impressed with this bakery! Very good quality and delicious pastries. We got so many different things to try ( almond croissant, coconut macaroon, cherry danish, cheese danish, blueberry muffins...etc) everything was outstanding, like New York level! You can tell it's made with high quality ingredients because you don't feel crummy after eating there, sometimes we get stuff from Publix and make us feel like sh*** after! If you are in the way to Bradenton Beach, or in the Cortez area please stop by and get some delicious treats. It's really good! They also have lunch good + coffee! read more

BOOM SHAKA LAKA!!!!!!!! We now have a new beach routine. Beach in the AM, Breezy Bakery in the afternoon!! Cinnamon Rolls, almond croissants, focaccia bread, Lemon loaf. Start there. The employees were very friendly and took the time to give us insight on things to do in the area. We've been three days in a row. Fine bakery in an awkward "middle" location of a curvy crowded raised sidewalk with a fun mural nearby. Inside equally as crowded on the customer side of things including a small toddler's corner that makes dining in hard for patrons, with the "ordering traffic". Had a case full of fabulous items, all beckoning to be eaten. Nice variety and nice posted signs of items. Items were not priced or labeled making it hard to decide. This makes me buy less, not more. Was a bit chaotic when I was there and owner not on site. When she did come in she ordered an employee to get things out of her car (like it was a private favor) and was friendly to some but not all patrons (made one uncomfortable). I had a slice of peanut butter pie on chocolate graham that was very "heavy", definitely peanut buttery, like eating it straight from the jar. Later I loved a 1" diameter espresso macaron for $2 and a great strawberry thumbprint bite both teeny and $2. My favorite item was the cherry Danish. Though the topping was straight from a can it was vividly delicious. The food will bring me back but ambiance and service were "meh" based on one visit. Not knowing prices or having labels will wear off quickly. Hope that gets fixed. No lattes either. Boohoo. read more

I contacted Bri to discuss shipping some of their yummy bakery items. As luck would have it, she agreed to ship from FL to NY. Carefully packed we're two loaves of lemon tea bread, a separate container of the luscious glaze, a 1/2 dzn coconut macaroons, and buttery Easter cookies. I arranged for priority mail through USPS and it took a short two days to arrive. As you can see, everything arrived in one piece. I'll be ordering again. I highly recommend stopping by Breezy Bakery and trying any one of their delicious treats. Bri and Dani are absolutely lovely people! read more

My friend Boni and I just discovered this bakery today and it was incredible! The staff are super nice and there's a wonderful selection of baked goods. My favorite is the oatmeal cookies but really, anything there is delicious. We can't wait to go back again! You will not be disappointed. We got a variety of things when we visited Breezy Bakery. From the blueberry cheesecake to the lemon loaf you truly can't go wrong here. Everything we got was delicious and I wish I would have taken a photo to share before we ate it all. I definitely recommend checking them out. I heard they're going to be popping out Christmas treats next month for Christmas in July too. Also they have a corner with toddler toys that's fenced in and it's the nicest touch if you have littles. We will be back on our next vacation here. read more

I order a very simple heart shaped chocolate cake with white frosting with very little writing & glitter... the number 3 was kind of messed up which made it hard to read... wasn't my biggest issue but then I cut into the cake and received a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting... the cake was so dense and dry my whole family didn't even eat it. I also paid 75$ for such a very simple & small cake that's CRAZY! I messaged the owner letting her know how I felt & I wasn't happy with the cake she made & she pretty much made me feel like it was my fault for getting the flavoring wrong and her also making me feel bad because it took her so long to make... Not sure how this is a my problem but the owner of this "bakery" is so unprofessional & rude it's disgusting!! She also creeped on my personal Facebook page & started comparing our family businesses which is SUPER weird. If someone isn't happy with the cake they order & paid for why wouldn't you refund them??? I won't lie the cake was pretty but not what I ordered at all.. & not a single penny was refunded. It was a Sunday morning in July and we walked into breezy bakery. Travis greeted us at the door with his fine assortment of confectionery items. I love the Christmas cookies in July, the pumpkin gluten-free muffin, the pumpkin cheesecake, gluten-free chocolate cake, pop, focaccia bread, and the great hospitality of Travis. As soon as we got in the car, I started opening my goodie bag, and this Hass to be one of the best bakeries I've ever been to in my life. On my first visit to this bakery I received very friendly service. I purchased a delicious Pecan Sandies cookie & a very good piece of key lime pie. The next morning I returned to buy some Danish. I purchased apple, cherry & cheese. All very delicious but, & this is going to sound wrong, they were slightly over filled. In my experience, most Danish are under filled. A happy medium would be appreciated. The pastry was wonderful. I also purchased an almond croissant. It was wonderful!!!. As for the ambiance, it is a very small space with some very cute touches but needs something to make it just equal to the baked goods. So happy to have this little bakery here. By far and away, the best bakery in the area. Everything is made with such attention to detail. The almond croissants are fabulous. The blueberry muffins are perfection. (I picked a few up the other morning. They're loaded with sweet/tart blueberries, a luscious texture and crumb and a crunchy top. Absolutely delicious.) Enormous cinnamon rolls that are still warm in the morning. They have all kinds of specialty cakes, tarts, pastries and treats. Went for my first time this morning. It was late in the morning, on a weekday, and off-season (kids going back to school, no snowbirds yet). Apparently they had only made a small batch and had sold out. I asked about the rolls, and they said they had another batch in process, but it would be a wait. I came back a bit later and they had fresh, delicious rolls waiting for me. The service was great, and the place smells and looks amazing. The flooring with colorful sprinkles and glitter is impressive. I am a regular visitor to the area and will be heading here again on my next visit. read more
