This little restaurant is soooo good. The pork belly is crispy and delicious. The pastries are so tasty.

We have been loyal customers for a while now, but unfortunately the quality of the customer experience has declined. One of the biggest issues is the lack of customer service. When customers walk in, the employees rarely acknowledge or greet them. A simple "hello" or "welcome" goes a long way in making people feel appreciated. The menu has also become much smaller compared to when the business first opened, leaving fewer options to choose from. More disappointing, the portion sizes have recently been reduced. We were told that employees were instructed to serve smaller portions. Meals are now packed in a three-compartment to-go container, with the main entrée placed in the smallest compartment while the largest section is filled with rice and beans. Customers are paying for the entrée, not a container mostly filled with side dishes. This restaurant used to be our go-to place for takeout, but after today's experience, that has changed. Sadly, they lost the business of four customers today. We sincerely hope management takes customer feedback seriously and works to improve the service, menu, and value before more loyal customers decide to go elsewhere. read more

Went and had high expectations from the reviews. Highly disappointed. The biscuit was raw inside. I ordered a latte and all I could taste was the vanilla and milk. My kids also got the regular cinnamon roll, they reheated it but you can taste and smell that it has been seating for days. After visiting with friends in the area I was literally going to drive by this place so I thought I'd stop and see what it was all about. I had seen it opened awhile back and I was happy to see a place like this in this part of town. It's conveniently located right off the McIntosh Rd. exit of I-4. This gem of a business is a bakery and cafe that offers dine-in, take out and even has availability to host functions. Strawberry Bakery Cafe offers an array of delectable pastries and hot, prepared food. On my visit I didn't explore the hot food items (in another area I didn't see) but from the pictures I had seen everything looks delectable! They had deviled crabs and stuffed potato balls as well as empanadas. I allowed my daughter to get one item of her choosing and she went with the horn that was filled with a vanilla cream and topped with chocolate. She absolutely adored it! I saw a table of two females devouring deviled crabs and it made me regret I didn't try on of those. I have decided that next visit there I will. I will return. Stopped by this bakery around 10:30 AM, craving a good guava pastry. When we walked in, the pastry display was a bit limited, but it looked like they were just getting started for the day -- and the smell of lunch being prepared in the back was incredible! I asked the young lady behind the counter if they had any more pastries coming out, and she kindly went to the back and brought me a guava pastry. It did not disappoint -- warm, flaky, and rich with buttery flavor. If you're on the hunt for a pastry with that perfect golden crust and melt-in-your-mouth texture, this place is definitely worth a visit. read more

What a little hidden gem...I stopped by on a whim and got a coffee and a danish...Both were quite good...And the prices are very fair...It was only $3 and change for a large coffee and a Danish! Worker was very friendly too...They had all kinds of tasty looking baked goods..Sorry didn't get a pic of them. read more

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I ate the empanada so fast because it was so good I forgot to take a picture. We have been here twice for breakfast and plan on coming back for dinner. Don't bother with the bakery products. We bought 2 pieces of their chocolate cake and 2 chocolate cookies. All four tasted like they had been sitting in the case for days. They were all dry and stale. Maybe because we went there on Sunday but that is no excuse. Way overpriced and poor quality. We will not be returning. Very disappointed. read more

As a Cuban, FINALLY some legitimate cuban food close to me! Yea they had other items like Mexican sweets but they also had pastelitos de queso, and they can offer pastelitos de carne (meat pastries), along with croquetas! The pastries are actually delicious and not dried out like some other places I've tried and I was surprised because I went towards closing time. The hot food is delicious. I had the lechon asado (roast pork) and arroz moro (mixed black beans and rice) with some Platano Maduros (sweet fried plantains) and it was all very delicious. I live nearby and have been waiting a long time for someone to invest in this building sitting empty for several years. I was not disappointed when it finally opened. Love the cafe con leche and Cuban toast for breakfast, and they have a great variety of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, not to mention all their desserts.
