They don't volunteer that they have kid size, which is smaller than one scoop, even when you walk in with a two year old. I really wish they had, or given me more time to look at the menu to see for myself. One scoop is WAY too much for a kid and plenty for an adult. Maybe it's up-selling, maybe they just pounced because we were the only ones there. The ice cream is good, but oddly all of the canisters are covered so you don't get to see the ice cream, you just choose by reading the descriptions. Thirdly they have no where to sit. A tiny bench that barely fits two people by the ice cream and another bench outside. So if you have three people together, you'll have to split up to stay and enjoy it. Also if the third person tries to lean on the wrought fence outside the shop, they are going to fall. That fence is no longer anchored and will be a hazard someday very soon.

I splurged and bought a wide mix of the different kinds at the Lyndale farmers market last weekend and they are already gone. They do not use butter or lard so the candies are vegan. Instead they use all kinds of organic ingredients, non refined sugar and coconut oil that make them taste exceptional. The only problem is when you buy them it is extremely difficult to stop eating them. No hand made candies are cheap but these are worth the extra expense. I rarely eat sweets so when i do I want something great rather than good. After these I really can't imagine buying anything else and being plant based in my diet I can't eat the cheap stuff anyhow. If you prefer smaller quantities of great things over larger quantities of mediocrity you should try pretty much anything and everything they make. You won't be disappointed.

It is on the pricier side, with a lot of the smaller cups being around $15-20 each. The quality and taste is worth it though! They also have a punch card where you get a free cup of chocolate after purchasing 12 cups. They offer free gift wrapping which is a nice touch. Service is friendly. The shop is located in a strip mall with plenty of free parking available.

I didn't wanna go TOO ham scarfing down sample after sample, limiting myself to four in order to make a decision about what I wanted to bring home (the winner ended up being Orange With Envy Pecans but the Yellow Jackets were tempting). Pricing is a little steep, but you're getting a really good quality product that's produced locally, supporting a small business. I've been weening myself off generic candy (like Nestle and Mars) because it may be cheap but it just isn't quality or that satisfying ultimately. So I'm glad to have found the Droolin' Moose (which is conveniently about a five minute drive from my house) as an alternative temptation. They do have a loyalty program with a stamp card so that every twelve cups you buy, you'll get lucky number thirteen for free. Huzzah! Yes, all the candies are packaged in cups, which have a fun new design for each season!
