I'm trying to think of any place at any time where a hamburger was so bad, but can't come up with anything. It wasn't burnt, it just tasted like it was cooked from frozen and sat on the grill for the entire 70 minutes we waited and slowly heated the life out of the meat. It was almost like they wanted it to be horrible. I've never been to a place that charged for fried onions on the burger. French fries were clearly from frozen and the freezer burn taste was strong. And due to the wait, arrived cold. We did have wings that were pretty good, sauces were nicely done. As far as ambiance, there were tons of televisions but all were showing the game show network, really? The NBA playoffs were on and we're showing Family Feud on every single TV, weird. This was the only food place in town that was open, in the future we'll go to another town. And I will not be visiting the butcher either, if you can't cook a burger I have doubts you'd know how to butcher the meat. I'm surprised the people who live in Kimball would ever go to this place.

We waited over an hour for our food. We came in after a big group but that was the only other group when we arrived. Nobody came over to give us a heads up that they had ordered first and our food would take a while. When the waitress finally came over to let us know our food would be up in less than 5 minutes, we expressed our frustration and feedback that we would've appreciated the heads up that we would be waiting a long time- especially as we had 3 young kids. She immediately got defensive with us. Another 10 minutes passed, finally got our food. They didn't provide silverware or napkins. I had to walk up to the bar and grab our own. Another girl came up as we were leaving and tried to give us mini donuts to make it right but then subsequently started making excuses again. I simply stated that we would've appreciated a heads up. She didn't care to hear the feedback and then accused my partner of swearing at the first server, which we said was not true. She then started calling us bad parents and used a mocking tone as she told us that she believes her sever before she believes us. I left absolutely furious and appalled at the level of disrespect these young girls had for our family. The food itself was not great and the restaurant facility was filthy- and we got there right at open. Floors, tables, and menus were all dirty and covered in old food. I don't expect this review to help do any good at the establishment since the feedback we tried to provide in person was not taken seriously, but hopefully can serve as a warning for others coming to dine here.

I am more of a black coffee guy (and i love their coffee), but my wife is always trying the new drinks! The breakfast burrito is a 9/10. Their scones are top notch. Parking can be tight, and the only real complaint there is here, is that it can be a little bit slow if you're using the drive-thru. If you've got a few extra minutes though, it's well worth it.

The owner fired the only competent barista who could make my order right and was always nice. Witnessed an employee sticking a $5 bill from the tip jar and pocketed it right into their pocket. Always running out of ingredients. This place is a joke. Called one Thursday morning asking for the owner and was told that he wasnt in when my wife was in there not even 5 minutes before and he was there. How is the owner not there when can see him through the window? Big chain coffee shops are better than this joke.

Top Line: I requested an off menu Cubano sandwich and Warren, the friendly owner of Simply Good, said they could make that. So I got the Cubano $8, an included side of sweet pepper slaw (vs the other slaw & chip options), and a 24 oz can of Arnold Palmer tea $1.50 from the cooler. So the whole shootin' match came in under my $10-$15 lunch price window. So it was mighty inexpensive chow. Sandwich was generously stuffed with shredded pork, a couple thin ham slices, pickles, and the mandatory mustard stacked between a couple slices of white bread that proved to be sturdy enough to keep the sandwich together, in spite of getting somewhat soggy as I squeezed the sandwich into my mouth. The taste was on the mark. The taste profile & balance of meat, pickle, & mustard flavors were solidly on target. As noted, the portion was generous & I was plenty full by the time I polished off the whole thing. On my way out I grabbed a couple brownies $2.50 ea for dessert this evening, or whenever I next get hungry after my tasty & quite filling lunch at Simply Good. I'm thinkin' a breakfast trip to visit this fine Mom & Pop shop for a cuppa joe & pastry are on the schedule some morning soon.
