    Dirty Ube Milk

TL;DR: stuck between boba or ice cream? Why not both! Lots of options to choose from, all more on the sweet side. Great to have an intimate hang out with friends. Street parking might be limited depending on time of day. I had dirty Ube milk tea with boba and enjoyed cream puffs with a friend. Prices reasonable for the size and quality. Service was good, the guy answered my questions about the menu.

This place is located across PCC, so it's probably convenient for those who attend classes there. Parking can be difficult since it's street parking. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by the employee there, but I think she was on her own. We came here for the soft-serve and we're big fans, especially for the price. The vibe of the store was cute and cozy, with wooden seats and artificial plants hanging on the walls. Overall would go back again, especially when we are in the area.

Aesthetically, such a cute boba spot! I went on a Saturday night and my party was the only one there. It wasn't busy at all! I ordered a milk tea with boba (25% sugar) - I would say it was good, and it was $8. My friend ordered a matcha latte with boba, and it tasted like milk. Can't say they were impressed. Regardless, if you're in the area, it's a pretty cool spot to study in or meet with friends.

My experience was just okay.. Drinks: - Tiramisu milk tea w/ boba: 6.8/10 Despite ordering it at 100% (regular) sweetness, I just felt like it was lacking in terms of flavor. It wasn't that sweet and honestly tasted kinda water down. The flavor didn't really resemble tiramisu and the boba was kinda hard. - Ice cream Jasmine milk tea w/ boba: 7/10 I would say this tasted a bit better than the tiramisu tea as the jasmine milk tea was a lot more flavorful. The ice cream definitely added to it too but the boba was still kinda hard. - Mango green tea w/ lychee jelly: 7.8/10 This one was personally my favorite as it was refreshing and didn't taste waterdown. I could taste the mango and it was just like what you would get at other stores, nothing spectacular but still good! Tiramisu: 6/10 Similar to the tiramisu milk tea, I felt like the flavor was just kinda lacking. The coffee flavor wasn't strong and it was just disappointing as a tiramisu lover. The cup was quite small in comparison to the price tag of $7.75 (w/o tax). Service: It took quite awhile for the worker to make our drinks despite no one really being around. Ambiance: It's a cute place to sit and study at as there were quite a few tables and sitting areas. The shop itself isn't that big but there was still seating. The decoration was cute!

service: good! :) interior: cozy wooden interior with high seats available as well as table seats, good place to chill with friends! health and safety: hygienic! hand sanitizers are provided on each table! would you crave for it? no.... i ordered two drinks and they were both tasteless.. this is a boba shop but their bobas are not up to parr :( the texture of the bobas were not really chewy and are completely tasteless..i ordered the classic milk tea and thai milk tea, both with cheese foam, but the tea flavors are SO bland. everything just tastes like milk :/ came here for boba but I left confused as to what I came here for.. if you're trying to get quality boba tea, this is not the place.. according to other reviews, the icecreams are watered down as well ://

Creamy Melon, $5.75 prior to tax. Cute dog does not come with purchase

Sweet Cow Cafe is across from PCC, right next door to Pho Bahn Mi Chi Cali with street parking available. Sweet Cow Cafe currently has a Yelp check in deal in which you get 10% off your total purchase. My husband, our little girl dog (yes dogs are allowed inside) and I stopped by this cute eatery a few Fridays ago, around 7:55 pm. We were greeted by the employee behind the counter. After looking over their extensive menu, we ended up ordering: Lychee Macaron, $2.50 prior to tax- A pretty good flavor macaron, it has a light flavor of lychee. Thai Ice Tea Macaron, $2.50 prior to tax- The Thai ice tea flavor is prominent. I liked this macaron as well. Creamy Melon, $5.75 prior to tax- Creamy melon is a swirl of both vanilla ice cream and watermelon sorbet, which is a great combination (although if you prefer, you can just get the watermelon sorbet for the same price but I think the vanilla ice cream makes this extra creamy and has an excellent mouth feel). I loved these 2 flavors together and so did my little girl. The size of this frozen treat is more than plenty for 2 people (and a little girl dog) to share. Ice Cream Jasmine Green Tea, $6.95 prior to tax- My husband ordered this drink to be made with 50% sweetener and no ice. The jasmine green tea itself was over steeped so this drink wasn't very good and a bit disappointing, especially for the price. ----------------------------- (Total= $19.51 after tax, prior to Yelp check in deal) Service was very friendly and wait time for our order after paying for it was a little less than 10 minutes. There are some seating available inside (none outside). I really like this place and will come back but would recommend sticking to their ice cream/ sorbet.

An interesting place to visit for a soft serve options. Each selection offers variations with basically the same base. Two options for ordering - touchscreen or with one of the helpful staff. The treats are well-crafted and Instagram-worthy.

Get ready for a unique boba fix with all the basics... This is the milkiest and creamiest boba drink I've ever had. I've had. Their DIrty Ube is RIDICULOUS!! I woud highy recommend getting the homemade cheese foam with any drink. If you're not getting a drink, the soft serve, ice cream is wonderful. Every single ingredient in your cup is perfect (as I give the chef's kiss). The lady at the counter is super helpful and though not particularly friendly, definitely makes a mean drink and will answer any questions thoroughly! Cute place for sweet, milkiness!

Located across the street from PCC is a small shop serving both soft serve and drinks. Decided on the soft serve and a milk tea with boba. The milk tea was tasty and the boba was fresh. However soft serve was not particularly good. Pricey for ok soft serve with some toppings. I suppose the draw is location.

It was so delicious and creamy. I finished the entire cup even though I got a brain freeze. So worth it! I can't wait to try their matcha and affogato

A small cafe that shares a very, very small parking lot with a couple other businesses. I was lucky to find a parking space. The interior decor is nice but has limited seating. The ice cream and drinks menu is quite extensive. I got the watermelon sorbet and mochi strawberry milk tea. Both were delicious, and the milk tea was on the sweeter side. Service was good although there was only one person working while there were several people placing orders. Would definitely come back again when I feel like getting ice cream.

Life is like a cup of tea, it's all about how you make it. ;D With that said let's begin this review. Milkcow Cafe (est.2013) is a cute little ice cream and tea shop in Pasadena. It's located along the Historic Route 66 and PCC. Interior design was modern with an eye catching decor and layout. Indoor seats were very limited, but plenty of outdoor seats (back and front). Their menu is mostly flavored ice cream and limited tea drink. I ordered a Mango Green Tea with mango chunks/boba (75% sweetness and ice). It tasted banal and lacks the mango fruity; ice was in small amount that it melted quickly. Therefore, it became a little lukewarm. Next time I will make the necessary adjustment. Server was amiable, patient and professional. Service was on point. They have free wifi. Kiosk order available. Parking was easy. Overall, I had a decent tea drink and I wish I had ordered ice cream instead. I will come back and try other stuff.

    Bland and tasteless.

I ordered thru ubereats. I got 1) Classic Milk tea w/ Agar boba and 2) Dirty Chai Thai. 1) Classic Milk tea was sweet but cant taste any tea. Tastes like watery yet sweet non-fat milk or creamer. This is my first time trying Agar boba so I cant really compare but it was white color and it was mediocre. If you are looking for that standard milk tea flavor - I dont think you'll enjoy it. I've enjoyed bopomofo, jin boba and boba time for reference 2) Dirty Chai Thai . I ordered this reg sugar but I taste no sugar/sweetner. Extremely watered down. I can baaarreeely tasted thai tea. It tastes like 5% chai and 95% milk/creamer. It literately tastes like nothing!!! These were both buy 1 get 1 free on ubereats. Unfortunately I ll be tossing out all 4 of these drinks. It almost seems like they split two drinks into 4 drinks by adding more milk creamer and water. Theres goes my $23 :(

Did they change the ice cream base? It used to be creamy and super tasty and now it's watered down and doesn't have any flavor :(

Few weeks ago heard they closed, are they opened again?

The Pasadena location has always been open. There was a mistake on yelp.

Hi, When will you have the watermelon ice cream available? Thank you.

I think they mentioned in June~

Do they have ice cream cake tho?

    No ice cream cake

A few questions re: wheel cakes... what flavors are available, how much are they, & do we need to pre-order in case there's limited availability (I'm not local & will be driving from the South Bay)?

Hi!! Do you have plenty of room for outdoor seating? In the customer pictures, I only see two green benches for outdoor seating. Thank you!!

Hi ML, yes we open backyard patio seating starting 11/04/20. We have plenty of dining tables, umbrella and heater. So you can enjoy your dessert and share some good times with your friends and family!

Hi, what are the seasonal items you have now? Such as the water melon soft serve?

New item are added to the menu for a limited time during summer.

    Are there any vegan flavors?

Unfortunately they don't at this time.

When is the seasonal watermelon ice cream being sold until?

Hi Devoney, the watermelon sandwich is our summer limited so it would be sold out until late…

Do you have random open/close hours - your store is closed even if your business hour says open 11:30?

Hi Soojin, that day our staff who is supposed to open the store had the emergency and went to the urgent care. I was taking training in Headquarter in Asia. Our other members went late since it was short notice.…

    Do you have non-dairy options?

Yes! Our seasonal watermelon flavor is non-dairy:)

Do they have the watermelon with the ice cream in it?

Hi Crystal, yes we do have it:)

    Do you have non-dairy options?

I'm sorry right now we only have dairy options for the ice cream. But we do have non-dairy options for the drinks.

Is the jassmin tea available in jassimn milk tea?

Hi Dee, we only have fresh brewed jasmine tea. You can add cheese foam if you would like. Right now we only have one milk tea which is black tea base. Thank you:)

We chose outdoor since it was such a nice day out. They have all of their desserts on display in the case, so you can peruse the options and see what looks good. So many of the desserts looked good, like the matcha yuzu chiffon crepe cake or the rose and lychee crepe cake. We ordered via the kiosk and got the mango sunshine souffle pancake ($16.50) and well as a couple drinks. My drink was the white peach lemon jasmine bliss ($6.25), with 50% sweetness and less ice. Even though there are signs everywhere saying that it takes 15-20 minutes for the souffle pancakes to be cooked, ours came out super quickly, in 5 minutes or so. We got it with the sauce on the side, but I regret doing that as I saw others getting it with the sauce on top and it was beautiful. The pancake was super fluffy and a bit eggy as well. We all really enjoyed it with the mango sauce. I made the mistake of eating the pancake first before trying a sip of my tea. The pancake was pretty sweet, so I could barely taste my drink, but I think it was good? I could taste a bit of the lemon but definitely not the white peach, which is a lighter flavor. I got a slice of their Hokkaido cheese cake roll for $7 to go and had it the next day. It was okay but definitely a bit pricy for what you get. I'd love to come back to try their other desserts and pancakes!

It is not really cute or aesthetic in any way... and the whole place could use a refresh. There is a covered patio with a few tables outside but at the moment it is a bit haphazard and not the nicest because the space next door is doing construction & there is a large dumpster on Green Street. We ordered Black tea & Floral Pineapple Blossom tea drinks, Peach Crepe Cake and a Peach Souffle Pancake ($17.50) via the kiosk. When you order, you receive a text that lets you know your order number, has a receipt, and also an expected time of delivery. The drinks were ready about 15 minutes. They were both fine, and prepared correctly. The peach crepe cake was brought out a few minutes later. My mom enjoyed it and it looked very pretty. Then the time that the entire order was supposed to be ready came and went. I checked in with Nick at the counter and he said that my souffle pancake would be ready in 5 minutes. About 7 minutes later, when my mom was done with her cake. Nick brought it over and set it down in next to me. It was jiggly, huge, and very wobbly. I slid it over so it was in front of me, and the top pancake fell off of the stack, and flipped over so the whipped cream side was on the counter. I tried to flip it back over and put it on top of the stack, but it fell apart. At this point, I was so frustrated with the situation and grossed out by the possibility of eating whipped cream and pancake that had been on the counter, that I asked Nick to remedy the situation. He offered to make a new pancake, but since this one had taken 40 minutes to come out, I was not willing to wait that long again. He kindly offered an alternative suggestion which I accepted. I tried the Creme Brulee crepe cake which was mildly flavored and pretty tasty. (Maybe I should have just gotten it in the first place, but I had really wanted to try the souffle pancake which I've since & sadly lost interest in.) With that, we bid Motto adieu, and it is unlikely that I will return. A few additional notes: Parking in the area is metered and $1.25/hr with a max of 2 hours, the single bathroom is functional, but there is some problem with the ceiling (there is a gaping hole covered by plastic) making for an unpleasant and potentially unsanitary situation. This should be remedied immediately! Peace.

The temperature was slightly hotter than my personal preference, which is understandable in a brunch setting, but overall it was a great cortado and far better than what many brunch cafés serve. The pain au chocolat was outstanding as well and a perfect pairing with the cortado. The service made the visit even better. Our server, Michael (aka Bev), was welcoming, attentive, and provided excellent service from start to finish. I also had the chance to compliment the barista on the cortado. Although I didn't get her name, she was very kind, took a few minutes to explain their coffee program, and shared that they use Boxx Coffee beans along with a dedicated water system to ensure the cleanest possible cup. It's always nice to meet people who genuinely care about what they're serving. Overall, Oh La La exceeded my expectations. It's refreshing to find a brunch café that puts this much effort into its coffee program while also serving great pastries. I'll definitely be back--next time for the food as well.

My friend and I were quite disappointed. The ambience is gorgeous, and the staff was nice…read more However, service was extremely slow and inattentive, they were out of all bowls at 11AM, and the meals were overpriced. I know that food is super expensive these days, but it was too much for what it was. The jambon beurre was not traditional; the baguette was so thick and wide, which overpowered the ham and cheese. The chicken club was nothing to write home about. On the plus side, the pastries were fantastic. I even tolerated the raisins so I could devour the orange wheel croissant. Monkey bread was perfect, not too sweet.

So how did we end up in Pasadena at Sweet Red Peach? My Mister loves KFI talk radio, and…read moreespecially the Tim Conway show. The bakery was on the station because of the things it was going through. First the air conditioner went out, then the water heater. It was one thing after another. So we went out to show some love and support this small business. It is located in a small shopping center with decent parking. It's a small space with display a display case and a cute little table and two chairs. My husband tried the blue velvet cake and I got a cinnamon role and a slice of 7up cake. Blue velvet was delicious..(sorry no pictures, we ate it when we got home). My 7up cake taste just like it did when I was growing up in South Central. The cinnamon roll was amazing warmed up the next day. That's right I said the next day. The owner and everyone who worked in there were super nice. My husband and the owner realized they knew a bunch of people from their time in Lynwood/Compton area both playing basketball. We had a great time, we ended up staying for about an hour. Great time, please go out and support.
