It was my first time at SweatHouz ( my friend's too), and we tried the contrast therapy circuit (I think that's what it's called)-- moving back and forth between infrared sauna and cold plunge, and ending with the vitamin C shower. Even though we had never done a cold plunge before, the whole experience felt surprisingly smooth and incredibly therapeutic. We actually went in feeling really stressed -- both of us have been dealing with our own mental health challenges and PTSD -- and this wellness experience genuinely felt like a weight lifted. The clarity and relief we felt afterward was unlike anything either of us had experienced before. The space itself is extremely clean and elevated, almost spa-like. They provide everything: towels, shampoo, conditioner, and even the vitamin C shower experience at the end. You can choose regular, sparkling, or infused water, which adds such a nice, high-end touch. Everything about the environment felt intentional, calming, and well thought-out. For a first-time experience, SweatHouz exceeded every expectation. We left feeling refreshed, grounded, and honestly... lighter . If they open a location near me, I already know I'd be a regular.

This is a great bouldering gym located in the heart of Long Beach!…read more Price: it's $10 for a day pass, which is pretty cheap compare to the other climbing gyms in LA. I usually get in for free since my friend has a gym membership here. Location: It's located near Anaheim St and Long Beach Blvd. It it centrally located near many awesome breweries and eateries Parking: street and meter parking. Atmosphere: spacious, nicely decorated entrance and check in area. Staff: Always friendly with great smiles Gym: The gym has about 4 walls. They're all for bouldering. They have all kinds of obstacle courses ranging from easy, to hard, to competitive. It does seem like their grading system is graded slighter harder. It's usually is nicely ventilated if they open the doors since there is no AC in the gym area. Bathroom: Clean and spacious. They have about, toilets, lockers, and 5 showers for you to clean up after the intense workout. They also have a sauna in there if you have time to relax. They used to have coffee scrub for use in the bathroom, I guess they took it away after Covid. Just ask the staff for towels if you wish to use the shower. If you're an avid climber, I highly suggest checking this gym out. There are so many obstacles here that provide lots of training to improve your climbing techniques!

A wellness oasis…read moreoffering guided breathwork (about 30-minutes), meditation, cold plunge, hot tub, an outdoor steam sauna, an infrared sauna and a beautiful, Zenned out garden to lounge around in. The sessions run about 90-minutes all together and they offer various package options from one-time sessions to more opportunities to return for free with the package. You can purchase and make appointments directly on their website as well as through ClassPass. When my friends and I arrived, we were welcomed by Ananta, who checked us in, had us sign waivers online and offered us tea. He led us in the breathwork session first, which was an invigorating yet relaxing experience at the same time. Immediately after the session, Ananta led us to the cold plunge where he gently encouraged us to dip in for about 2-minutes. The water was about 40 degrees and my feet were tingling and nearly numb by the time I got out. We did it though and it awakened our senses and got our blood circulating! We then, had the option of dipping in the hot tub or going in the saunas. I warmed up in the jacuzzi, then spent some time in the outdoor barrel steam sauna and infrared sauna. Before I knew it, our 90-minute session came to an end. They have showers for us to rinse off and I left with glowing skin and a lighter spirit. I will definitely be back for more healing and rejuvenation! Free street parking in the residential neighborhood.

A Hidden Oasis in Long Beach - Pure Paradise for Mind & Body…read more I honestly can't say enough good things about this place, it's a true hidden gem in the heart of Long Beach that feels like you've been transported far, far away. As soon as you walk in, the energy shifts. It's calm. Peaceful. Inviting. The kind of space where you instantly feel your shoulders drop and your mind start to slow down. They've created what feels like a tropical wellness retreat, but without ever leaving the city. The cold plunge alone is worth the visit. It's crisp, clean, and absolutely invigorating, and if you've read up on the benefits (reduced inflammation, better sleep, mood boosts), you'll appreciate just how much good it's doing while you shiver! Pair that with their sauna lineup, a traditional hot sauna, a jacuzzi, and beautifully lit infrared saunas and you've got everything you need to detox, decompress, and reset. They also guide you through breathing techniques that help deepen the whole experience. After just one session, I felt like I had taken a vacation without ever stepping on a plane. Whether you're a wellness junkie or just need a few hours to reconnect with yourself, this place is an absolute must. Long Beach has a true oasis, and I'm so grateful I found it. Highly recommend.

I was…read morehesitant at first because I came from another place where they manually Spray tan you so I wasn't sure if the machine would get all my areas. So after my first Spray tan, I was pleasantly surprised that I had an even beautiful golden tan! Since then, I've been back a few times and Kimberly who works the front is incredibly sweet and as always been so friendly to answer all my questions and make recommendations. The room is always sanitized and clean. The spray tanning booth is easy to use. With the tan you have access to a cream barrier for your toes and fingers, and you're supplied with a cap, foam feet covers and a towel. My spray tan usually lasts about 3 weeks. I'm a happy and returning customer!

I asked the floor staff to contact Kevin after locating my most recent receipt. She tried once and let me know he didn't answer. I sent an email and then waited 30 minutes to see if he'd respond so I didn't make the trip for nothing but he has not responded. If my membership was cancelled, I fully expect to be notified & to see $82.50 refunded to my card. Considering I paid my membership on 4/19 - the only conclusion I can come to is that Kevin decided to cancel my membership because of the below review/suggestion. I've been coming here for six years and don't have much negative to say but I do have a suggestion due to frustration when beds go down. Note: On 4/25 bed 6 was down. Situation: You have a (gold) customer who's been waiting in the parking lot since 20 min before opening and just before opening another customer comes in and jumps in the only working bed (meaning a 12-15 minute wait in addition to the 20min spent in the parking lot). Customer options at Cal tan - Pay for an upgrade to avoid the wait (that's a no since I pay $80 a month already) Wait 12-15 min extra (this makes your time at cal tan nearly an hour in total) Or downgrade so you can get done (but still pay the same) --------- Suggestion: your customer should 10000% receive a complimentary upgrade if a bed or beds on their tier are out of service. I've never been the member of a tanning establishment that doesn't show their customers they value them when situations like this arise. It's truly a bummer and I highly suggest taking the pressure off your floor staff and keeping your customers' weekends less packed with waiting.
