    Rock climbing

Such a cool place, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. They have a really cool braindead collection there and sell really nice rock climbing gear. Also relatively good pricing for memberships!!

Great facilities and HUGE plus that it is dog friendly. My pup was a big hit here and was able to be off leash provided she didn't wander around on the mats and climbing area. There's tons of variety of levels and the locker rooms were really clean. For $20 day pass, $15 if before 3pm- I thought it was a good deal. My friend and I really enjoyed our time here and she's a frequent climber who has visited many other facilities. She thought Long Beach Rising was definitely one of the better ones. I'm not an avid climber but I'm seriously considering joining as a member because of a great first experience. Street parking was also really easy but we got lucky with a spot up front. Definitely recommend!!

Great gym!! My fiancé and I wanted to get back into climbing and Long Beach rising is the perfect place!! Love all the gym has to offer from different classes, a gym room, a sauna, and showers. Absolutely love climbing here!!

Originally came here because my younger sister had a Girls Scouts bonding day and I came for fun. To my surprise, I fell in love with the leaf and wood aesthetic of the gym. I enjoyed both the lobby and climbing gym itself. As for the climbs, they were really fun and creative. Might come here again since the pay isn't that bad!

Love this gym for bouldering! Tons of space, tons of routes, and I especially liked the wide variety of holds they have ranging from comp style to more traditional. Their facilities were also clean and nice. Will definitely be back!

Loved it there. Adrew at the front desk was very helpful with getting me started and giving me tips on warmups and such ( plus he had the sweetest little husky named beans!). This was my first time going there and I felt right at home. The walls were fun to use and the level system was easy to understand. The side gym was nice too and so were the bathrooms. I would recommend checking this place out if you haven't already. Definitely coming back again!

Super friendly community with a great staff. So much more personable than the big chain bouldering gyms. Plus great locker rooms and sauna!

Lots of fun routes of varying abilities, and it's much larger than most bouldering gyms I've been to in California.

Did you know that California has an official state dance? Well, we do and it is called West Coast Swing. Once a month there is a West Coast Sing Dance held here at this studio which has a fabulous dance floor. Ask about weekly lessons as I saw signs that indicated they had them. The dance floor here is beautiful and dances well. There were couches and chairs enough for most people to sit when they were't dancing. The restroom was tiny and reached through a narrow twisting hallway all the way in the back but was immaculately clean. The entire front wall of the space is floor to ceiling windows giving people on the street a great view of what is going on inside. I know from the name that there are yoga classes here. There was also a sign on the back wall that indicated that classes were held in a room upstairs by Pole~licious, a Platinum Stages sponsored pole fitness studio. For those who don't know - Platinum Stages are one of the top quality manufacturers of pole dancing poles and supplies in the world. My pole dancing studio back in Bakersfield, Polga Fitness, uses 15 foot spinning poles manufactured by Platinum Stages. We're talking the best, folks! There's a little something for everyone here at Peoples Yoga, Health & Dance whether you're trying to keep your mind, body, or spirit in the best shape. Come on down and check it out!

They work really hard to provide a soothing, safe space for everyone. Nothing but positive vibes, free use of everyone's pronouns and small businesses selling their wares. There's ample parking and most of the events cost around $5. I attended a paint and sip which was about $35, but we sampled about seven different wines. So worth it. I signed up for the twerking class. It was fun, but be prepared for them to teach a full choreographed routine. I was NOT ready! Don't think I'll be returning to that one. During the riding test, I was doing okay until I panicked, locked up the rear brake instead of progressively squeezing the front, heard the tire squeal, stopped, and jumped off the bike like a child. Somehow, I managed to pass. Barely, but a pass is a pass. The funny part is that once I got out riding on my own, everything they had taught me started to click. The classroom instruction was just as good. They were patient, clear, and genuinely engaged. You can tell they enjoy what they do. Even though they teach the same material repeatedly, it never feels like they are just going through the motions or thinking, "Here we go again, same class, different day."
