I have been a client of Christina's for quite a few years. I have been behind in seeing her for a facial and I finally booked an appointment. On a scale of 1-10, Christina is a "12"! She goes above and beyond. Even though I was her last client of the day, you would think I was her only client of the day as she consistently delivers on outstanding quality. This spa is very relaxing but I wouldn't recommend for people who are trying to improve their skincare. I appreciate the ambiance, effort, and comfort levels. I didn't appreciate how they tried to push products at the end of the treatment. Additionally, the effects on skin only lasted 1 day after the facial. Usually, when i pay $150+ for a facial, the effects should last for at least a week. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend or come back to visit. read more

Really loved my facials here at Sanctuary Spa! I love how relaxing and peaceful the whole experience from start to finish is and always look forward to coming back. Oh my gahhhh!!! I love the facial I had with Jada! She was so kind and worked wonders on my face. The facial glow was real after leaving the spa. I got the eminence organic facial and it felt so refreshing. I was worried about it smelling too floral and Jada assured me that it wasn't at all. It was truly a facial for my senses too! Is it on the pricey side yes, but for someone who has done the cheaper vs pricer massages and facials this was worth it. This spa is not one that has amenities so that's the only thing that lacked for me because other spas would have that for the price. Could it be a few dollars cheaper because of that reason yes. This review is for the 60 min diamond glow treatments with Megan. I got married earlier this year, so I started seeing Megan about one year before the wedding to start prepping my skin. I have dry, sensitive, acne prone skin. I was interested in trying the diamond glow because i didn't see results with previous hydrafacials and my skin is too sensitive to handle chemical peels (or any actives). Megan is amazing. She started me off with a gentle tip and she's gradually been able to get my skin to handle more assertive sessions. My skin is so glowy after, and I see a big improvement with texture. Hard to say if acne improved from the treatments since I also take an oral medication that helps clear my skin, but I love that Megan isn't afraid of extractions. Megan is the one who introduced me to the co2 lift masks that are truly life changing for someone with such dry skin - they heal my eczema patches quickly and I used one the morning of my wedding so I was plump and hydrated. The whole experience is so relaxing and I can feel myself getting anxious when I know we are towards the end of a session because I never want it to end! When Sanctuary Spa opened backup after COVID restrictions lifted I booked an appointment with Emma. I've heard this is the place to go to in Long Beach! And is sertainly was! Emma was amazing and has the softest hands I've ever felt! The treatment was so relaxing and I have no idea what she used on me but my skin has been glowing for days after. And I sweat a lot. My skin has never felt so smooth and hydrated. She gave me some sample products to test after and helped educate me on what I should be doing to keep my skin looking healthy and young. If you suffer from skin sensitivities such as eczema, dry flaky skin, unwanted pigmentation, and or adult acne...or like myself, ALL THE ABOVE, you will have to come and ask for Megan's help! I've been coming to see Megan for close to 3 years now and every time I come I am reminded how far I've come from when I started my facials with Megan. After two years of only using Vanicream and Cetaphil from CVS but still experiencing flare ups, inflammation, super itchy and dry skin along with big zits randomly popping up all around my face that left me with pigmentation, I literally was sad every time I got ready in the morning seeing how makeup looked terrible on my poor skin. I discovered Sauctuary Spa by chance, I remember almost 3 years ago I walked in with my patchy face and asked the very kind receptionist for a brochure of their services, the receptionist kindly ask what I was looking for and I explained to her what I've been suffering from...it just so happened she had the same experience but when I looked at her immaculate glowing skin it was hard to believe she once had what she called, "scaley, dry, itchy, inflammed, eczema skin". She immediately gave me generous samples of the products that helped heal her skin and raved about Megan who helped turn her skin around and introduced her to those products she sampled me on. Then, there Megan was, she came out to greet another client and before she brought her client back to the spa, the receptionist introduced me to Megan and Megan immediately greeted me with the wamest smile and told me to try drinking aloe juice and use raw honey as a mask to heal some of my inflammation. I was so surprised both the receptionist and Megan made no effort to sell me anything or pressure me into booking an appointment... they simply wanted to help...this is so rare at spas and other beauty stores. I immediately felt like Sauntuary Spa was a place that might just work out for me and it did. After following Megan's advice on the raw honey mask, drinking aloe juice, and using the samples I was given...in just 1 week, my skin already was less itchy, inflammed, and irritated!!!! It was MAGICAL...a feeling I have not felt for my skin in SO LONG. After a week, I called Sauntuary Spa and booked my very first Diamond Glow facial with Megan. Each and every time I came to see Megan for my treatment I saw and felt improvement with my skin. Megan slowly introduced me to products that were fit for my road to rebuilding glowing strong healthy skin. After following everything Megan suggested, my skin today is smooth, not flakey, rarely do I get a zit, my pigmentation has fainted significantly, make up goes on smoothly, and no signs of inflammation. i rarely suffer from any flare-ups which I use to constantly have. I even graduated to using my very first retinol product! Something I never thought I could use and it made my skin that much more glowing. I had a prenatal massage with Christina, and it was totally amazing. As I arrived this morning, the market place was under construction, so I was lost for a moment. Although I was late for couple of minutes, the front desk lady and Christina were warm and kindly assisted me. This was my first time going to a massage, and I was totally clueless of what to expect. Christina patiently walked me through the process, and answered all questions I had. The massage was outstanding. Christina applied pressure from light to hard, and checked in with me once in a while to ensure that she was not hurting my shoulders. The room was full with soft music and random air blowing. I was in Thailand for 2 weeks so I urgently needed a skin booster. I can't even explain how amazing my experience with Megan was. She was extremely professional, gentle and sweet. I got the Pumpkin Enzyme Facial which resulted in a beautiful refreshing glow on my skin -- perfect timing for Fall ;)!! Throughout the whole facial, Megan made sure to explain everything she put on my face, made sure I was comfortable the entire time and constantly asked me how I was feeling to ensure my level of pain (from the enzyme stinging/ chemical peel). Received an Oxygen Facial from Crista earlier this week. I usually come here for massages, so this was my first facial, and can I just say, BEST FACIAL EVER. I didn't exactly realize she was the owner of Sanctuary Spa because she didn't have snobby owner vibes at all. She greeted me as the receptionist from the moment I walked in (they were short-staffed that day) and then proceeded to provide the treatment as another cosmetologist took over the desk. The staff here is so incredible. They are friendly, sweet, professional, attentive, and work hard to make the experience perfect for you. The treatment lasted a full hour and was everything a facial should be: thorough, productive, effective (still seeing results 2 days later) and relaxing. Crista is so knowledgeable about skincare and extremely experienced with facials. Even during my extractions, she had a very gentle touch. While letting masks work their magic, she massaged my shoulders, arms and feet. I loved the flow of everything and felt really taken care of. Grateful that Crista took the time to explain some tips for my skincare regimen without being too pushy. She genuinely cares about her clients and is sincerely dedicated to her craft. This place is so AMAZING! I came here for microdermabrasion. Place is very clean, great smell (aroma candles ), super relaxing (and not annoying!!) music. Staff is super friendly, very professional and good looking as well. Also I've been recommended some cosmetics and then I thought "here we go"... I hate when you come just for simple a facial and they give you tons of "needed" cosmetics. I usually refuse. But this time I decided to try, because cosmetologist used one of them during procedure and it didn't have an allergy reaction. But this time I was so satisfied! Great cream, moisturizer, toning... This was my first time coming here and I had purchased a Groupon for a specific facial. I was impressed with the spa upon entering not a big place but very nicely decorated and smelled amazing . They have a small retail boutique in the front and a nice little waiting area. I would of given 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that I had to wait over 20 min for my appointed time that I arrived on time! Now to the facial the room where treatment was performed was very , nice spa music playing a little loud but it was a very calm environment . I was told to change and get under the cozy blanket and then my facial started it was very relaxing and I enjoyed it so much that I booked another appointment !
