As this place is only a few minutes away from me, I decided to give them a try to even out my tan lines as well as a Brazilian wax. Vanessa, the proprietor, responded quickly inquired regarding pricing, and availability. When I arrived, the salon is so cute and exceptionally clean! You know how businesses get after a year or two, cleaning isn't kept up with, especially in salons, there are weird smears and stains on the walls and baseboards. Not here! It is clean, yet not sterile and so comfy and welcoming. After filling out the mandatory forms and liability waivers, Vanessa brought me back for my waxing. I hadn't had it done in almost a year but she was so patient and the wax she uses, although still somewhat painful, really did a great job in removing the hair in the area and I did not get any bumps or rashes afterwards. Vanessa was professional, skilled, and fast! The smooth area did not disappoint me nor the BF! Afterwards, Vanessa took me to her spray tan room. She asked what I was looking for and although I am very tan everywhere, I wear a one piece so I wanted to even out my torso/middle section so it wasn't such a start contrast. Vanessa did a great job being even and just enough colors so I did not look fake baked! I sprung for the Quick Express tan so I did not have to wait eight hours before I showered. True to her advice, my tan gradually deepened over the next few hours into even the next day! Vanessa offered that if it was still too light, she would adjust it. For me it was still not dark enough so I did ask her to accommodate to come in and have her spray one more time. That did the trick! She is my go to for my friendly neighborhood waxing and I highly recommend her salon and services! You will not be disappointed! read more

I booked my tan about a week before an event that I was going to, I have never gotten a tan like this before, so I was unaware of how to prepare, but as soon as I booked, I got an email and a text message stating the steps that I had to do to ensure an awesome airbrush tan. When I came to this location, it was super cute and she was super nice and made me feel very comfortable. I got so many compliments of how cute my glow was, and you couldn't even tell that it was not from natural sunlight. No steaks. Etc. My review is based on my poor, disappointing experience and bad business which as a result I have not received any services from Secret Sun. I have been following this business on social media and had been thinking about coming here for spray tanning and possibly other services as the location is much more convenient to me than the place I normally go. As I was going to Las Vegas for the July 4th holiday I scheduled an appt for tanning. I had a conflict come up and tried contacting the business to reschedule over a day in advance. I called for 2 days leaving messages with no response. I then left a message on Yelp which I received a response advising me to call, I replied letting them know I messaged on yelp since I could not reach anyone via phone or get a call back. I was then provided a phone # I could text and did receive a response and my new appt. was confirmed. I arrived on time for my appt to find the business completely closed. I attempted to call and leave a voicemail. I also sent a text as I was told (per the screen shot) I could text the # I was provided "anytime". As you could see, my text message was read but I did not receive a reply nor a returned call from my voicemail. This was an extremely bad and disappointing experience. My flight was the next day and this was the only evening I could get this done and now I was stuck in the parking lot past 6:30 pm trying to call several local competitors to get an appt that evening. Finally after contacting 6 other places, I was able to get into one closeby in Sunset Beach at 8pm. I had to re-arrange my schedule/errands to accommodate so I could get the services done before my trip. Due to this experience I do not recommend this business at all. There are many other competitors out there with excellent reviews and I loved the new spot I was able to get into, it is a 5 star business and I spent quite a bit on packages there which I would have gladly spent at Secret Sun had they earned my business. I have a few friends that were also looking for tanning/waxing services that had asked me to let them know how I liked Secret Sun so they could start going there too but I referred them to the business I ended up going to. Even if they forgot and could not do anything about it, the fact that I never got a response back by text or phone from Secret Sun speaks volumes about the business and how badly it is operated. read more
