If you come to this particular location in Huntington Beach, there is parking in the back of the building but it's limited! Get there early. First things first, what a cute entryway/setup. This place is fantastic!! I have been here a lot over the last few years, and I've never left unhappy. I've had multiple spray tans and Brazilians done by Erica. She is truly the best. I've had Brazilians done elsewhere, and they never compare to hers. She is SUPER fast and incredibly easy to talk to. I've had a couple times where I was so caught up in the conversation that I was shocked when she told me she was done. She really knows what she's doing. Her tans are also flawless. She always asks what the event or occasion is that you're being tanned for, and she'll help tailor your tan to the event. I've gone darker when I was going on a long beach trip, and I've also done more natural for weddings, etc. She nails it every time, and I always get compliments. I am naturally very pale, so I'm always nervous I'll be orange or too dark. That has never been the case with Erica. Go see her!! read more

I've been to Erica three times for a spray tan. The first two were the express and my recent one was the regular one. I wasn't as tan as I wanted to be with the express so when I went back for the regular, Erica explained that it's difficult to go dark on the express without turning orange, and would make sure my classic tan would be dark enough without being too dark. Definitely arrive with enough time to find parking--- my first mistake! Place is super clean and cute, and Patricia was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. She also sprays a nice lavender spray to calm the skin. I liked that she also explained some hairs were too short to remove, but she would try her best. They have good deals going on for first timers so definitely take advantage! Now...the only downside was the cot/table was so hard and uncomfortable to lay on. Clean up could be better--the sugar was pretty messy and stuck on my skin whole ride home. I also was used to other places/maybe misled that they remove hair everywhere...meaning the butt area (tmi? lol). I think it would be nice if they also went in to tweeze any stray hairs that could be removed. read more

Sugaring can be an unpleasant experience when it is done by someone who is not very aware of the client and just wants to get the job done. Erica at Sugar Coated has made sugaring such a great experience. She is super gentile and explains what she is doing so you know what to expect. She also always checks to make sure you are doing fine during the session making it a comfortable environment. It's also so easy to book a same day appointment which is great! Also everything about the salon is so cute and well decorated - it has beachy vibes which is very fitting. A long overdue review.. I have been a client of theirs for the better part of a year and unsure as to why I didn't see them earlier. I have shaved my legs and chest through the years but dreaded the razor burns, sleepless nights from my legs feeling on fire from sharp hair follicles and ingrowns that were an absolute certainty of appearing a few days after. I was unaware of proper hair removal techniques and after care leaving me to just accept that the irritation would just be a permanent side effect of shaving. While doing some research on attempting to dull the pain, I came across a few videos on sugaring, which were quite hilarious watching men yell in pain from chest waxes (remember the infamous 40 year old virgin scene?) to guys attempting the "brozilian." Feeling brave, I decided to try sugaring and went for the full package; chest, stomach, legs and the entire nether regions. "How bad could it really be?" I thought I looked online and as most skin care businesses were under closure due to Covid restrictions, I found a spot in Orange County that had limited spots, allowing only one client at a time and ensuring sanitizing before and after. I called and booked an appointment with Arielle and drove down to Sunset Beach. Obviously, I was a bit nervous - figuring I'd be completely exposed while contorting my body to rip out hair from every crevasse. Upon arriving, Arielle's calm demeanor put me at ease and I headed into one of the rooms. Arielle started on my chest, then legs - which to my surprise, was not as painful as I assumed it would have been. I'd rate the pain as a 2.5 out of 10, very tolerable. Nearly done, Arielle tells me she's going to start the brozilian. I took a deep breathe and while that did sting.... pain was 4 out of 10. Arielle cracked some jokes and had me laughing during the remainder of it. She left the room and offered me some hot towels to wipe off any remaining sugar. I cleaned up and got myself together, then went to check out. Arielle offered some post care advice, like exfoliating... common sense to women but not to your average guy. Life changing advice, I shower regularly but advanced skin care was never part of my regimen. Fast forward a few days later and my skin felt soft with NO IRRITATION! I've been hooked ever since and do my best to visit Arielle and Erica at least once a month. Pro Tip: Guys, they do offer a brozilian membership, do yourself (and your significant other) a favor and sign up. PSA: One more thing guys, skin care is just body maintenance. While you may be stripped down with a towel over your junk, don't be creepy. Don't specialize this service, you wouldn't treat your barber, dentist or doctor that way. Be respectful and kind to the ladies there. read more

I had the blonde white girl, I forgot her name, I don't mean to sound rude but she was so sweet, I've been getting sugared for a while but she talked me through the wax, she has a great personality. I just would like her to work on technique, she left a lot of left over hair during my sugar wax & I know sometimes it's hard to wax me since I've been getting waxed so long, I barely grow hair even though I wait 5 weeks now, I've never had this issue with my other waxers to this extent, there's just too many left over hairs & not too mention, it hurt so bad. I'm not sure what she was doing wrong, the wax really didn't feel warm enough but I moved to sugar waxing because it was more tolerable, she made it so uncomfortable that I was saying strips & hot wax would be way easier & more efficient. I really like her, she just should sharpen her skills and maybe retrain if necessary, I most likely will stick to my regular. UPDATE: I'm updating my review because the owner reached out to me for a touch up & even apologized, a lot of business owners just don't take the time to do that, I really do appreciate the effort even though I didn't take her up on it.
