Had my first-ever professional spray tan here and had such a great experience! I was a little nervous since I didn't know what to expect, but Brodie explained everything to me and made the process was super easy! I got for the express spray tan, which allows you to rinse anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on your preferred level of color. I decided to wash off after an hour and seriously loved the results! I got a natural, sun-kissed glow without looking orange or overdone. The solution is also paraben-free, organic, and sugar-based, which was a huge plus for me. Overall, such a convenient way to get bronzed and glowing without spending hours in the sun read more

I've been coming to Sugar Coated in Sunset Beach for spray tans for over a year, and Brodie is a huge reason I keep coming back. She is incredibly detail oriented and somehow has a better memory than I do. She'll remember where I was going or what I had planned the last time I came in, even when I've completely forgotten I told her. It's those little personal touches that make the experience different. More importantly, Brodie is meticulous with her spray tans. She takes her time, pays attention to the details, and makes sure everything looks natural and even. You never feel rushed or like you're just the next appointment. There are plenty of places to get a spray tan. Great service and someone who actually remembers and cares about her clients is a lot harder to find. Brodie and Sugar Coated are absolutely ! read more

I received services from Sugar Coated circa 2022-2024. The ladies here are the kindest and most professional I have come across. They always made me feel comfortable and did an excellent job. Sugar Coated exudes cool beach girl vibes. It is a feminine luxury experience. I started sugaring because my dermatologist recommended it as a healthier alternative to shaving. Sugar Coated never left me with any ingrowns or infections; I was always smooth as a baby's bottom. You are in good hands here! read more

This week, I tried sugaring for the first time...and I was not disappointed. As someone who has only ever waxed, I can honestly say I was a little nervous...but it was surprisingly less painful, and left my skin feeling amazing. Megan explained the difference in detail, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. I have only had 2 other estheticians do hair removal 'down there', so it was important to find someone that made me feel comfortable. I did my due diligence and was impressed with the reviews. I made the decision to visit Sugar Coated after reading others experiences. I was even able to find a Groupon to help with the cost of my first appointment. All signs were pointing to this being a good idea...and it really was! I will definitely continue to visit this amazing little salon. If you've never tried sugaring, you won't be disappointed...and you will also be supporting a woman owned small business that really cares about their clients. Thank you, Megan read more

I went in for my first Brazilian ever! Never been waxed or sugared before. I had a great experience. I went early to find parking and just waited until my appointment time to come in. Megan was absolutely wonderful. She walked me through everything and made me feel like I was talking to someone I've known forever! She made me feel so comfortable and welcomed! I'll definitely be back! read more

I was referred here by a friend a few years ago and it's the only place I'll get my tan done! I went last week before my bachelorette party and got the "Sun Kissed" tan The tan lasted through multiple pool days in 100 degree heat! It didn't get streaky or fade unevenly what so ever! read more

I had my first ever sugar hair removal and I couldn't have gotten a better experience than this! I was SO nervous and everyone in the office was so kind, easygoing and genuinely caring. The place was all extremely clean & decorated so cute. Megan did my service and she was so informative, understanding and her professionalism was top tier! I'm so happy I found Sugar Coated! read more

I've been on the fence for some time about whether or not I should try Sugaring. After reading that Sugaring is a much better option in terms of hair removal, I decided to try Sugar Coated! If you come to this particular location in Huntington Beach, there is parking in the back of the building but it's limited! Get there early. First things first, what a cute entryway/setup. And the space was clean. Arielle was my technician and she made me feel at ease. I was nervous because it was my first time, but she was so patient with me! I've already booked my second appointment! . A couple of tips if it's your very first time getting waxed/sugar waxed {things I totally overlooked prior to visiting}: -Take some Tylenol--extra strength... -Wear loose fitted clothes--trust me, you'll be sensitive afterwards Can't wait for my next appointment! read more

This place is fantastic!! I have been here a lot over the last few years, and I've never left unhappy. I've had multiple spray tans and Brazilians done by Erica. She is truly the best. I've had Brazilians done elsewhere, and they never compare to hers. She is SUPER fast and incredibly easy to talk to. I've had a couple times where I was so caught up in the conversation that I was shocked when she told me she was done. She really knows what she's doing. Her tans are also flawless. She always asks what the event or occasion is that you're being tanned for, and she'll help tailor your tan to the event. I've gone darker when I was going on a long beach trip, and I've also done more natural for weddings, etc. She nails it every time, and I always get compliments. I am naturally very pale, so I'm always nervous I'll be orange or too dark. That has never been the case with Erica. Go see her!! read more

I've been to Erica three times for a spray tan. The first two were the express and my recent one was the regular one. I wasn't as tan as I wanted to be with the express so when I went back for the regular, Erica explained that it's difficult to go dark on the express without turning orange, and would make sure my classic tan would be dark enough without being too dark. And I loved it! Erica is wonderful and makes you feel very comfortable. I'll be back! read more

Fabulous spray tans! Only place I'll get a spray tan. Great quality products and amazing staff

Definitely arrive with enough time to find parking--- my first mistake! Place is super clean and cute, and Patricia was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. She also sprays a nice lavender spray to calm the skin. I liked that she also explained some hairs were too short to remove, but she would try her best. They have good deals going on for first timers so definitely take advantage! Now...the only downside was the cot/table was so hard and uncomfortable to lay on. Clean up could be better--the sugar was pretty messy and stuck on my skin whole ride home. I also was used to other places/maybe misled that they remove hair everywhere...meaning the butt area (tmi? lol). I think it would be nice if they also went in to tweeze any stray hairs that could be removed. read more

did a wonderful job on my brows and curling my eyelashes which they dyed both and i loved themmmmm

Updating my review because I got the BEST spray tan I've ever gotten!! Erica does an amazing job and she tailors my tan so nicely depending on the event (dark for vacay, more natural for wedding or winter, etc). The express tan is so convenient and easy and worth it :) read more

After trying many different places, I only come here for sugaring. Sugaring can be an unpleasant experience when it is done by someone who is not very aware of the client and just wants to get the job done. Erica at Sugar Coated has made sugaring such a great experience. She is super gentile and explains what she is doing so you know what to expect. She also always checks to make sure you are doing fine during the session making it a comfortable environment. It's also so easy to book a same day appointment which is great! Also everything about the salon is so cute and well decorated - it has beachy vibes which is very fitting. There are only like 3 parking spots in front of the salon but luckily I've never had any issues finding parking when I go. read more

Erica did an amazing job with sugaring my brows/face. She took her time and was diligent with her work. I also did the express tan and she asked all the right questions to make sure everything turned out as best as possible. Last but not least, she is very personable and fun to chat with. Book now :) You won't regret it! read more

A long overdue review.. I have been a client of theirs for the better part of a year and unsure as to why I didn't see them earlier. I have shaved my legs and chest through the years but dreaded the razor burns, sleepless nights from my legs feeling on fire from sharp hair follicles and ingrowns that were an absolute certainty of appearing a few days after. I was unaware of proper hair removal techniques and after care leaving me to just accept that the irritation would just be a permanent side effect of shaving. While doing some research on attempting to dull the pain, I came across a few videos on sugaring, which were quite hilarious watching men yell in pain from chest waxes (remember the infamous 40 year old virgin scene?) to guys attempting the "brozilian." Feeling brave, I decided to try sugaring and went for the full package; chest, stomach, legs and the entire nether regions. "How bad could it really be?" I thought I looked online and as most skin care businesses were under closure due to Covid restrictions, I found a spot in Orange County that had limited spots, allowing only one client at a time and ensuring sanitizing before and after. I called and booked an appointment with Arielle and drove down to Sunset Beach. Obviously, I was a bit nervous - figuring I'd be completely exposed while contorting my body to rip out hair from every crevasse. Upon arriving, Arielle's calm demeanor put me at ease and I headed into one of the rooms. Arielle started on my chest, then legs - which to my surprise, was not as painful as I assumed it would have been. I'd rate the pain as a 2.5 out of 10, very tolerable. Nearly done, Arielle tells me she's going to start the brozilian. I took a deep breathe and while that did sting.... pain was 4 out of 10. Arielle cracked some jokes and had me laughing during the remainder of it. She left the room and offered me some hot towels to wipe off any remaining sugar. I cleaned up and got myself together, then went to check out. Arielle offered some post care advice, like exfoliating... common sense to women but not to your average guy. Life changing advice, I shower regularly but advanced skin care was never part of my regimen. Fast forward a few days later and my skin felt soft with NO IRRITATION! I've been hooked ever since and do my best to visit Arielle and Erica at least once a month. Pro Tip: Guys, they do offer a brozilian membership, do yourself (and your significant other) a favor and sign up. PSA: One more thing guys, skin care is just body maintenance. While you may be stripped down with a towel over your junk, don't be creepy. Don't specialize this service, you wouldn't treat your barber, dentist or doctor that way. Be respectful and kind to the ladies there. read more

Thank you Alexis! This was my very first time getting a Brazilian wax and it couldn't have gone better! I was hesitant since my hair was about 1"inch if not longer. I am also 36 weeks pregnant so I can't see anymore pass my stomach! We'll worth it and I would definitely be back. I felt so comfortable and relaxed. I recommend leave your hair long don't feel embarrassed it will be the best results! read more
