I've gotten 3 spray tans here and i love it! The salon is super cute and clean and the staff are all very friendly. My most recent tan was done by Amy and her attention to detail was SO good and really stood out to me. She is super friendly and even went so far as to help me get the stickers off my feet and my shoes back on! I really loved working with her I recommend Sugar Cove overall! I haven't even been here yet so an updated review will be on its way but BLESS KIMS SOUL!! Originally had an appointment scheduled for 12:30 PM. It was my first day out after having my son, so I figured I would go to my occupational therapist appointment and then come here after. I gave myself a 15 minute cushion, but traffic decided it would take much longer than that. I called barely before 12:30 PM. The grace period is five minutes. I asked if there's anyway to reschedule because I was on my way in, but I knew I wouldn't make it on time with traffic. Kim was willing to reschedule me and provide options if I wanted to keep today. Unfortunately, because our childcare options are limited, I wouldn't be able to go to the other locations to keep an appointment for today. My Groupon expires in two days, so instead, Kim offered to honor the Groupon and let me schedule for next Friday!! Hallelujah! read more

Writing a 2nd review because the "business owner" profile (which is likely run by a minimum wage front desk employee) left such a lack luster response to my first one. As shown in the screenshot, the beginning line is clearly copy and pasted from an exchange approving her response LOL - it says "how's this response for the yelp review?" (Well let me be the first to tell you, ITS NOT GOOD) Very unprofessional to leave that there and not proofread before hitting submit... She also stated, "we are glad we are able to come to a compromise" -- I'll be extremely clear, we did not come to a compromise. They issued me a minuscule refund of $32 despite me spending $242 there.... I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company, who gladly refunded the remaining $210. The people running this company are subpar to say the least, and should be ashamed at how they respond to unhappy customers. Something not mentioned in my other review, and a huge reason why I think I got a fungal infection from this establishment is because the ball of sugaring wax looked dirty, like they used it on someone else prior to using it on me. The girl Swift who did the sugaring looked very sweaty as well. I feel as if her sweat along with the dirty sugar ball is what caused my reaction. I've had to see a dermatologist twice since and was prescribed a heavy dose of steroid cream. Like mentioned in my previous review, this is an extremely sensitive topic for me, but I'm sharing as a warning to other new customers. Speak up if something looks or feels off (I wish I did so I could have avoided this entire debacle). I should have asked why the sugar ball looked used and dirty, and I also should have spoke up about being uncomfortable from the girls sweaty appearance. read more

I have been going to Sugar Cove for a couple of months now for Spray Tans and I cannot say enough about this place. When you walk in the receptionists are always so cheerful and welcoming and the aesthetic is cute and chic. Savannah has been doing an amazing job with my tans, I mentioned that the first time I went I didn't get very dark and she has been going above and beyond to ensure I get the darkness I prefer. I do want to say that the reason the first time my tan didn't darken was definitely on me. I tried to use baby oil to remove a previous home self tanner the morning before and an exfoliator that was too creamy so I think that's why the tan didn't stick as well. I have had zero issues since then. I love that you can buy packages of tans vs buying one at a time, and the appt process is amazing. I love the reminders especially when I forget to add to my calendar. I 10/10 recommend Sugar Cove and Savannah! read more

I have gone to a few different sugar waxing places now and this is my favorite!! The interior is clean, aesthetic and they have wonderful products available for after and general care. My esthetician, Amy, does an amazing job truly. She is very thorough throughout the Brazilian process. I don't understand how but she makes it less painful as well, so she has a great technique. And the finishing tweezing and products applied at the end (such as soothing oil and AHA BHA) help with the healing process after. Her entire process leaves you looking and feeling immaculate! I've been to Sugar Cove many times and had many treatments, such as facial, acne's treatment, last tint, spray tan and dermaplane. Every experience has been amazing. I actually found this place through Groupon but you can book with them directly by phone. They're very organized with emails and text message reminders about your appointment. I got the Brazilian sugaring with Amy. I've only been sugar'd once so still a mildly awkward experience but Amy was very warm and chatty. I feel like you have to be cuz talking does help you ignore the pain. Essentially, I was led to one of their very cute barn door curtained rooms, given lots of wipes to clean and Amy stepped out so I can take off my shorts/underwear and get on their toweled bed. There's another small towel so you can cover yourself. After a bit, Amy came back, warmed up the sugar and pretty much started ripping at it real quick. I'm a rip the band-aid off quickly kind of person so I appreciated it as we talked, but not gonna lie, this hurt a lot. I'd say my pain tolerance is average too. I'd say like small duct tape rips kind of hurt but focus on the conversation. You're sore for a little bit after but it was pretty much gone after an hour. Compared to my first experience at another location where they did big long rips, Amy went for short fast and furious rips with lots of baby powder in-between. I was impressed by her speed honestly cuz I was slated for 30 min but she was done in 15. And my hair was about half an inch thick, dark and pretty thick. Once we were done and I was as naked as a newborn babe, Amy left so I could get dressed and then explained the aftercare. They also sell creams and scrubs too if you don't already own any. The scrub was about $20-25? And cream was $16. My groupon priced this at $20 but the original price is $77. They take credit card and you can add any tip amount you want with the nice receptionist. Overall, a very nice location next to the Trader Joe's and lots of parking. They are tucked behind the corner next to a nail salon and a chiropractor/physical therapy office, so keep an eye out. read more

I have been to Sugar Cove in HB for body contouring and a spray tan. Their employees are so sweet and knowledgeable - I've had a pleasant experience every time. What prompted me to leave this review is how they reacted to my last-minute cancellation today. I wasn't able to step away from my unexpected meetings all day to call them until just before the appointment. The person who answered the phone (I'm so sorry I didn't get your name!) was so sweet and, instead of just letting me know of the cancellation fee right away, first asked me if everything was okay. I had a WONDERFUL experience last week on Thursday at Sugar Cove in Huntington Harbour. First of all, this is hands down the cutest/best shopping center in all of Huntington and I am happy to say it was a recent discovery of mine. Jasmin did an amazing job accommodating me and keeping me feeling comfortable during the entire process. She and the other girl at the front desk were so great, I was having a pretty stressful day and although some people would see getting sugared as also a stressful experience it was so nice and relaxing in there and the ambience is right up my alley! They sell such cute products in the front anywhere from post care sugaring/tanning products to jewelry to hats and accessories. I am bummed I didn't take any photos because I was in such a rush to get to my appointment but I will next time. Sugar cove is nice and clean and following all COVID compliance guidelines. The girls at this location went above and beyond to give me the best sugaring experience ever and I 10/10 would recommend to a friend. BTW this was a groupon find and I am so grateful for groupon for things like this! I was able to book my appointment quickly and conveniently over my phone for the very next day. All employees are professional and warm welcoming. The studio is fairly new, I think they said they had opened in May 2021 and you can tell it is so nice fresh and clean inside! Sugar Cove however has multiple other locations in Seal Beach, Long Beach and somewhere else as well so they're well known. I love that they call themselves sugar mamas very clever and cute! Parking is easy, at first I was confused by the sign and ran into the physical therapy place by accident but once I found it tucked away in the back I was in love!
