I will have to give it another try and see if it's any better for a different entree. My first time there and my food was too salty and they did not bother to lend me a highchair for my son so after receiving my drink I walked around the restaurant to find one and I did and just handled that myself. The plating was presentable, so I was wondering if it was just the dish I ordered or maybe an accidental heavy hand when it came to the seasoning. It reminds me of a little place we used to have down on 2nd Ave in Seattle. The place is under new ownership. From what I have heard, there are mixed reviews. We are used to very good Thai food. We moved from the Bay Area. This place has food that was good. I had an eggplant stir fry that was a special on the blackboard. It was very tasty, but WAY overpriced. The service was ok. The people were not very friendly and totally forgot to bring our appetizers. Disappointing. We might give it a try again. I really like the menu and food quality here. Portions are generous. The chicken is sliced super-thin (how do they do that?) and is always deliciously marinaded. This is definitely ny favorite of the Thai places I've tried. I do wish they had Pad Woon Sen on the menu though. I really like that they support mobile ordering now. My only gripe these days is that since the name changed, the prices have gone up a lot. I can't afford to eat here as frequently or get appetizers with my orders anymore. I have to wonder what's going on because Love Curry's prices are high too. read more

I'm sad to say that I didn't love this place. The food was good but a little pricey for what you got. Plus, I didn't know you had to order the rice separate so my dish didn't have any. My daughter ordered her Pad Thai with a "2" spicy rating, but we both thought it was more like a 3 or 4 -- in other words, way too spicy! We were the only ones in the restaurant and I had to refill our own water glasses. I would have thought that with no one else there, we would have had stellar service. The owner was super nice and I wish him success, but I don't think I would ever come back. Sorry. :-( read more

I am so happy that this restaurant replaced Bahn Kun Ya because it was terrible and Swadee Thai is delicious. My husband and I have started to prefer their beef pho over others in the Tri-Cities. Had we become partial to the pho and fresh rolls simply because they are so dang close to our house? We wondered. But! During the stay of a beloved friend visiting from Las Vegas, we had this pho for dinner. She loved it too! It is also rare to have chicken fresh rolls on the menu, which became a life-saver since she doesn't eat pork or shrimp. Let's talk about their pho, for a minute. The broth is substantial and flavorful with the right amount of salt and fat. The beef is tender so that I needn't stress about breaking one of the metal orthodontic brackets that I wear on my teeth. Thank you! My dislike of a broth full of cilantro stems and long, stringy onions is not a problem at Swadee. Swadee Thai uses mostly cilantro leaves and very few stems! Yay! And I never have to fish out stringy veins of cheap onions.The garnishments are always fresh and they gave me TWO lime wedges instead of the standard, single wedge. I only wish I had thought to ask for some sambal chili paste, sadly, it is not automatically included with To-Go orders. I'm not sure what makes the Add-On meatball retail at $2, but I might have to find out. read more

They only reason I gave them 1 star is because there food is so good but the service is terrible. I have been there at least four times since they opened and have never been impressed with the service. I bought their voucher on spotted fox and called to ask how to redeem it, one of the owners answered and had no idea that the voucher even existed, then when he told me he needed to talk to the "other guy" about it and get back to me, I asked if he wanted my phone number so he could call me back with an answer, he replied "no actually I am a really busy guy and don't really have time to call you. Can you call back in a couple of days?" I could not believe it. But he is a business owner so I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but there evening server is even worse. I have called and placed orders to go and every time I have a question about any order she sighed acted and irritated with me. Then today I tried to call and order and she told me I needed to come in and look at the menu because I didn't know what number I wanted, I show up and it takes them more then 30 minutes to make my to go order that was not complicated at all, people that were seated after I arrived and ordered at least 10 minutes after I did got their food first. I come all the way home to find out they forget the rice for the stir fry. I call her back and she states I can have them make some if you want to come back. I told her no and that I was really disappointed in my service today. She stated "so sorry thank you bye" and hung up the freaking phone. I am not a drama queen. I love their food. I just will never go back there because of this terrible experience. read more

I've been to many Thai restaurants around the TC and this one is probably the best!!! I've been here multiple times since they changed ownership and I haven't had a bad meal. When I went in a few weeks ago with some friends, the waitress was very polite and attentive. Although the food took a little while to make even with an empty restaurant it was well worth the wait!! After we received our food an older woman came out of the kitchen and once we saw her, we knew the food was going to be awesome :) we all had the pad Thai and the fresh spring rolls and there was not a single complaint! If I could give it a 0, I would! Food was okay but when we went to pay, we had a coupon from SaveAround for a free appetizer. I pulled it up on my phone and the waitress went to show it to the manager, he turned out to be the owner. He flatly stated that it was not his coupon and refused to take off the $6.95 appetizer. I verified the address and showed him the coupon that clearly showed a picture of his store and his address and he still refused to honor it. Paid $55 for dinner which was too much for the quality of the food we received and the owners refusal to honor the coupon turned a average meal into a horrible experience. Considering we were the only people in the restaurant at 7pm on a Friday night should tell you everything you need to know about this establishment. He won't be around long with customer service like this and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone I know. Do yourself a favor and avoid it like the plague! read more
