We have visited Swad twice now. Each time the owner has greeted us and taken time to converse with us. It's a delightful restaurant that's immaculate and bright. There's ample parking. The food choices are varied and cover a wide variety of Indian and Nepalese foods. On our last visit my food was overly spicy for me, when the owner saw I'd not eaten much he had another dish prepared with less intensity. Such a lovely gesture on his part. We are delighted this is fairly close to home and will make it a regular stop. read more

The food is just awesome, and genuine. The service is great, right from the moment you walk in the door. The servers are accommodating and helpful. Beverages are top notch. The ambience was comfortable. Plus, we love not having to drive to Providence to get real Indian food. Swad is keeper in our books. read more

OMG! 10 stars if I could. I have to drive to East Side of Providence to get decent Indian food. I use to live in NJ, so I am persnickety with regards to Indian food I had the Jackfruit Masala and Himalayan Dumplings (Momo) Since I moved to Riverside, I been disappointed by the lack of ethnic cuisine Nice to see the change read more

The food was well made, well prepared Indian Cuisine. We ordered some standard Indian dishes we are already well familiar with, and we were fairly happy with the actual food we received. The service was helpful, attentive, competent, and good overall. The portion sizes could be slightly larger for many of the items that we tried however. I am looking forward to returning to dine at Swad Restaurant some point relatively soon. read more

Food is delicious! The momos are just how I remember them from Nepal. I did take-out/delivery and food came hot. I could tell it was made to order. Highly recommend! read more

Sorry but this is the worst butter chicken I've ever had in my life, the sauce was extremely watery. Naan and rice was good though but doesn't amount to much read more

Service, cocktails, food , all is perfect. Pretty inside too! We also celebrated New Years at this restaurant!

So happy to finally have an Indian restaurant nearby! The food was absolutely delicious and I can see this being my go-to Indian place. No need to drive all the way into Providence anymore! Everyone was very friendly, including what seemed to be the manager or owner who checked in on us a couple of times. One thing I would note is that my son and I ordered two separate entrées but received a tray of rice to share. I would prefer to have my own rice as I always like to eat just half and then bring the other half home with me, so this made it a little difficult to do. I did like the option to pay digitally. We were able to pay right away and not really have to wait for the bill or for the waitress to come back and run the card. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend! read more

Food was really good! Service was good as well! Really enjoyed the mango chicken, garlic Nan (would have loved fresh cilantro on it though),

Hidden little gem. Probably some of the tastiest Indian we've had in quite some time. The bartender was so accommodating & the owner was very friendly. We got there a little bit late and sat at the bar the locals make you feel at home. Good selection on, wine and cocktails. Definitely will be heading back! read more

We recently ate here. Was not sure what to expect. Wasn't sure about the cuisine. To start with the service was top notch. Very professional wait staff and knowledgeable on the menu. It was very busy and probably will be as they get the name out. Very comfortable decor. Will definitely go back read more

Ordered food without any reviews and wow - very impressed. My wife, a pescaterian, loves spicy foods (from NJ). We have few restaurants that offer good options for vegetarians and pescaterians in this area. Swad is a blessing for folks like her. Simple foods, tasty, well prepared and traditional ingredients at locally acceptable prices. The jackfruit masala, momo and naan (w/ sauces) were delicious. We recommend it. The fact we don't need to cross into Providence is a plus. read more

Excellent service, nice atmosphere, great food and drinks, an all round great experience.

The place is located in a small strip mall, right next to a liquor store. The storefront looks very modest, but inside feels comfortable, welcoming, and most importantly, clean. Food is amazing. I had a cocktail, which is strong, refreshing, and well-balanced. The Korma curry is truly flavorful and creamy. It's not too spicy, perfect for a non-native palate. I am very happy to find such a delightful Indian restaurant in East Providence, now I don't have to drive all the way to Providence. My only feedback, not a complaint, is the lack of green vegetables with the meat-based curry dish. I think the dish will look even more appetizing if there is a bit more color on the plate. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. read more

Fantastic food and outstanding service! Our experiences here have always been exceptional. Whether it's the Gobi Manchurian, chicken curry with naan, or the amazing Momos, this place consistently delights us. Highly recommended! read more

The food was perfection. We started with appetizers, sampling the Momo! This is a must-try for something different. Our entrees ranged from Tandori to Curry. I had the Coconut Shrimp Curry, a favorite of mine. The addition of Mint Tumeric was lovely. If you choose to have a cocktail, I highly recommend the Gingertini. You won't believe how delicious this is. The service is five-star, with attention to your every need. The ambiance was very enjoyable, with large windows that gave a feeling of spaciousness. The restaurant was on the quiet side, even though every seat was taken. I suggest reservations!! Welcome to Riverside read more

Swad Riverside RI is an excellent Indian restaurant at the same quality level of Rasoi and India restaurants in Providence. The Manchow veggi soup is tasty n spicy. The lamb Rogan Gosh, Chicken Tikka and Malai Kofta are very good. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is pleasant and the price is a "steal". Bon Apetite! read more

I was not expecting such amazing Indian food! The biryani was fabulous ! Amazing server and the owner is a real professional! Will be back soon! read more

Food was fresh and cooked to perfection. Aloo gobi, shrimp biryani, chicken vindaloo were excellent. The portions were large: needed doggie bag. Red onion chutney was not on the menu but the owner gladly made some for us. He explained that it was typically left untouched by customers so he doesn't include it with the others. The server was friendly, attentive and helpful with menu suggestions. So happy Riverside has a quality Indian restaurant. read more

The BEST samosas in Rhode Island hands down. So happy to have Indian food in Riverside!

My husband and I went to Swad Indian Restaurant and Bar today. Swad opened December 24th in Riverside, RI. It is the first and only Indian restaurant in the area. We walked and found the place to be warm and welcoming. A few minutes after we sat down, Yaz came to great us. The service was very good and the food was excellent. We ordered the Chili Cauliflower as an appetizer and loved it! I had the Coconut Shrimp Curry and my husband had the Butter Chicken. Both dishes were excellent. They carry a variety of Naan breads and sauces. I am so happy to have this gem in our neighborhood. I highly recommended to anyone that likes Indian cuisine or is looking for something new. read more
