The place looks like it's been abandoned for years but once you step foot, it feels like you're in a nostalgic time warped place in a different era. Ordered a large soft serve for my mom and got a banana split with all the fixings except pineapple for myself. Paid cash and let the magic happen. Within a minute, our items were both ready. Everything was delicious and so cheap as well! The man working who seemed to possibly be the owner was full of smiles the whole time so my experience there was awesome. I can see why this place has been in business for so long. The man who worked here on 5/21/26 had no customer service skills whatsoever. His tone was rude and dismissive. Everything we requested (specific flavor shake, type of meal, extra ranch, etc.) was met with a look of disgust and disapproval. The food wasn't as great as some are suggesting - the ranch actually tasted rotten. The entire building needs a thorough cleaning. I do not recommend and will not return. read more

I was craving ice cream on my way back home from church and I notice this place. But I passed it because it looks like it's an old close ice cream shop that hasn't been opened in years. So I started yelping ice cream spots around me and Suzy's Freeze came up. I was like omg this place is actually open for business. So I made a U-turn went back. And as soon as I went in the owner son, welcome to me. I got an ice cream Sunday and I got a burger. I was so surprised that fries. A soda hamburger with a Sunday ice cream was only $13. You don't find that anywhere else anymore. The only thing that I did not like was it's a rundown place. They need to clean this whole place up. I'm pretty sure if how inspection comes. They will get shut down for so many violations. I ate my burger there and my ice cream. Finally got to try the ice cream. It was so good! We got 2 small swirled cones. The size was perfect for me and for my son. It wasn't too sweet like most other places and it was the perfect texture. One of my favorite local businesses that I love to support whenever I have a chance. One of those cases where yelp led me astray big time. I was in the neighborhood and stopped in for an ice cream sundae despite the somewhat skanky appearance of the exterior. Once you enter the dated interior, which looks like it's from the 1970s, you'll find some seating as well as the walk-up window to place your order. They only have soft serve which I didn't immediately comprehend. When I walked in the place was empty. Apparently I disturbed the gruff old codger who was sitting at a table. He reluctantly got up and went through an employee door to get to the ordering window. "Okay" he yelled at me. I was confused by the flavors listed on the menu under the ice cream heading and asked if coffee was one of the flavors of ice cream. "NO" he yelled. "We don't have that!" I tried to explain I was hoping for a sundae with coffee ice cream with caramel sauce - or something similar. I don't think he was understanding me nor me him. Finally he shouted "okay, coffee and caramel", rang me up, and told me to wait at the pickup window. He walked off, repeatedly saying "coffee and caramel, coffee and caramel..." What I got was vanilla soft serve with a microscopic amount of caramel in the bottom of the cup and a couple tablespoons of instant coffee grounds dumped on top with the whole mess covered with an inch of cheap whipped cream slathered on top. Words can not describe how horrible this travesty tasted. And I ordered a large! A couple of bites and...hello garbage can. read more

My family and I came here on a whim because of a random soft serve craving. I'm not sure where to start - the owner(?) greeted us very cordially, took our order, and served us our order in a matter of minutes. Despite the customers waiting in line, he never rushed us or made us feel uncomfortable. Additionally, once our order came out, he served it with a thank you and well wishes and we were on our way. The soft serve was delicious, the fries were meaty and fresh, and we walked away vowing to return to, if anything, help with keeping the business alive. We just tried Suzy's Freeze after living in the city for the last couple of years. It is a very unassuming location but I was quite surprised at their menu. Not only do they have sweet frozen treats, they also cook up your American burger fare. Prices are decent and the person working (I'm assuming was the owner) was friendly.
