Suviche is a good place for some Peruvian/Japanese fusion! Their menu goes from so many rolls to Peruvian signature dishes. I like the fact that most of their categories within the menu, you can usually do half or full order so when I go, I like to have the best of both world, so I usually do half and half. We started with the typical Peruvian canchita which is fried corn chips (it's the first thing they will bring to your table besides water) and ordered some wine. Btw, they have happy hour until 7pm. So I ordered, half of the plantain roll which is delicious and creamy, with plantain pieces and cream cheese in the inside of the roll and avocado on top. And half of the vegan ceviche with the rocoto sauce. For each ceviche, you can pick the sauce you'd like the most, and they have like 6 different sauces but if you like spicy, rocoto is your one to go. I'm giving it 4 stars because the inside of the restaurant sometimes is not too clean. Last time I tried to sit inside, there were a lot of flies on certain table areas so I had to sit outside. read more

I've visited other SuViche locations before and have always enjoyed the food. It's fresh, quick and an awesome price. So when my fam and I were looking for a place to grab a bite post beach, this was our spot. This is a great option for indecisive eaters aka my fam. While some of us can always go for sushi, others look for heavier meals. The menu mix of Peruvian and Japanese means there's something for everyone at the table. For the budget conscious foodie this spot is amazing. We arrived before 3 pm which meant we could take advantage of the lunch specials. For $12 you could order an app and an entree from the list. The two rice dishes from the lunch special we're awesome- there was an arroz chaufa and another rice that was creamy and risotto like. Thank goodness the portion was huge because we all picked at my dad's plate. THEN it turned into post 3 pm- HAPPY HOUR! We were able to mix and match items from the food menu and enjoy some vino, too. The menu of happy hour bites has lots of variety and items are about $6. We opted for two rolls and a happy hour sampler for the table to graze on. My sister and I also split the ceviche Suvama- which is a mix of their classic suviche ceviche and the ahí amarillo. The large is a good portion to share especially when paired with some happy hour bites. SuViche is a solid choice for eats any time of the day but most especially between the hours of 3-7 when wine and beer is $4. read more

Happy Hour at SuViche cannot be beat! The spicy salmon crispy rice is next level. Staff is always super friendly and accommodating. Unique Peruvian Japanese fusion with reasonable prices and decent portion sizes. Ceviche Natural- My first ceviche ever. I enjoyed the fresh flounder and the variety of textures. I did not enjoy the sauce however. The flavors were weak and a bit watery for my liking. Complimentary Peruvian Corn- Well seasoned crunchy corn! We had our corn refilled several times, definitely worth a try! La Cruda Verdad Roll- High quality sushi roll. Good portion size with fresh tasting ingredients and good toppings. Our first time visiting from Chicago on Sunday. We were in South Beach and decided to give this a try. We were greeted immediately and told to sit anywhere we liked. We arrived around 2:30pm so it was not busy which I liked. Our server suggested the SuVama Ceviche which was a little creamy. Omg my mouth waters just thinking about it. It was delicious. Our favorite. We also ordered the beef saltado which was also so delicious. We also got one of the signature perfection rolls but a half order. This was enough to share for the 2 of us. I wanted more and more of the ceviche though. And I loved the canchitas they served as an appetizer. I would definitely come back again. read more

This was my first meal in South Beach and did not disappoint. My friend and I went during Happy Hour, which had some great deals (sushi rolls, ceviche, sake). I ordered the Mexicano ceviche which was delicious and filling. My friend ordered a spicy tuna roll, ceviche, and sake (all off the Happy Hour menu). You also get corn nuts to share when you sit down. Staff was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu/able to make recommendations. I will return on a future trip and try a different ceviche. read more

Found this on Yelp when we were in the area and looking for something light to eat for dinner this past Saturday night. We ordered the Suvama and the Mexicano ceviches- large size. The server said that would be enough for 2 people and she was right. The portions are very large. The pieces of fish, shrimp and calamari that they give you are large. They also give you toasted corn kernels as a snack which were very good. The Suvama is a bit tastier than the Mexicano but both were good. read more

It's fantastic. The happy hour, fantastic. The service, fantastic. The have their own takes on dishes, and all of them tend to be a little on the intense side -- which means you're gonna want a good drink. The micheladas are great, and they also have good sake. But if you get the Suvichelada, it's also intense, so you're gonna need to order another Cusqueña. No worries, it's happy hour! The ceviche is really good, their sushi rolls are solid, the whole list of apps on the happy hour menu are tasty and fun to eat. Just go here read more

Its baaack! After an awkward and unfamilal few months, Suviche is back to its originally delicious and unparalleled, impeccably prepared Japanese and Peruvian cuisine. It's a refreshing and welcoming return to the familiar and friendly faces of our neighbors and servers who my husband and I see on a regular basis. Happy to see the quality and presentation, neighborhood atmosphere return to the level locals have come to look forward to when coming to Suviche. @Suviche Mgmt: now that you've realized the special sauce, please don't change a thing. I'm staying in South Beach for a few days (reside in Fort Lauderdale). I walked by Suviche and was immediately drawn to the color scheme - orange. As a gourmet cook I am very picky - especially when it comes Latin cooking. For todays tasting I opted for the Bang Bang Shrimp. One of the ingredients was aji amarillo and it tasted just delightful-perfect amount of crunch. Next I had causas con pollo - that too was very light and refreshing despite being a potato. I really appreciated Maria (my server) as I had been walking South Beach for the last 2 hours and my water glass was never empty. Thank you Maria! The food is reasonably priced especially for the quality and quite delicious! disfruta Peru Mis amores. read more

Once again, I give Suviche SoBe a try about food and customer service. The second one was good, nothing special, but no complains at all; but the food was TERRIBLE! First, let me say that I order to go, so, I was expecting a good quality as they used to have; the amount of my "Aji de Gallina" was soooo lame, that it wasn't not even one spoon (I really don't know if the have standards for that) but if they, let me tell you that it's not even have of the portion than if you dine in. My "Arroz Chaufa" was completely burnt, I couldn't eat it at all, went direct to the trash, and the "Causa de Pollo" was dry and tasteless. The only one that can be saved are the "Alfajores" (10 points to that). Really, Really, Really Suviche SoBe can do SO MUCH BETTER! And to be honest it is 100% different than the other one in Wynwood. Not recommended at all. read more

TLDR: A bad night with poor service :( Suviche seemed slammed tonight on Saturday, around 8:45. We walked in, placed an order and returned when told (20 min later). The staff was in over their head with orders and our to-go took almost 40 minutes. Which I'd understand except when handed our bag, the server didn't say anything nor apologize. ‍ Had huacachina noodles with steak. It was ordered medium rare and ended up well done. It was tough to eat. Very salty, nice sauce. Ceviche verde was so salty I'd swear someone accidentally dropped extra in. Nice ideas and flavors, but with burnt plantain chips, it was a miss. Bang bang shrimp were also super salty and just sad after sitting in a to go container for a long time while our order was being finished. I can see how this place might be great on a good day, but it's terrible for $50 on a bad day, especially with staff who ignored the backup. read more

I was around the corner when my girlfriend Andrea suggested to come here. I looked up and lucky us: they have happy hour! Less lucky was I when I stepped into bubble gum the moment I walk into the establishment. But I was given napkins and a plastic knife to get it off my shoe. I used the bathroom which is located behind the counter to wash my hands. I parked in the street but noticed there's valet service for $3 only! That's cheaper than street parking! So don't miss out on this! I went to sit by the window. It was calm so I had plenty of choice to sit. I ordered from the happy hour menu: the Tiradito in the aji Amarillo flavor - delicious!! I love their aji Amarillo as I always get the Suviche aji Amarillo which has the same sauce. The tiradito came with 5 pieces of white fish, corn and the yellow sauce. While seated it hit me: TERRIBLE SEWER smell coming in waves. Gross! It comes off and on. Really kills the appetite. They should fix this. I asked about it and they know about the problem, I was told behind the wall where I sat next to, the trash can is located. So I got up and moved to the other side of the restaurant. We then ordered the natural ceviche, nectar roll, almost perfect roll and Andrea got a michelada: the suvichelada. Everything was delicious. When the waitress came with the tablet to pay, she marked herself 25% tip. I find this highly inappropriate. When paying the customer should mark themselves which tip and her pre marking it... not sure how everyone else feels but we did not like this. We still gave 20% but not 25 as she suggested. The food is a 5 star for sure but the sewer smell and tip incident lower it to 3. read more

This place is a true hidden gem! One block over from Lincoln Rd. Lacking signage with their name. I'll have to go back and try the sushi. I went for the ceviche which was outstanding. I visited Suviche with a friend after arriving too late to our originally planned dinner spot (dang Memorial Day traffic) I think this place did the job and as a second choice option. I won't be mean, Suviche is good, yea, a solid 3. Would it be my first choice, nope, but it's decent sushi and they're open pretty late We ordered a few things to share, and along with a few beers everything totaled to about $100, not bad for SoBe. The sushi was a decent size and the flavors were interesting which I can appreciate. They also have a nice selection of beers too! We started off with Tuna Tataki- The Tuna and the avocado was pretty fresh. I would have preferred the tuna be sliced a little thin, though. I enjoyed the peanuts, I think it added a nice flavor combo not to mention a nice crunchy texture. Citrus Fire Roll- I enjoyed this roll very much! Lol I have to admit, I took a huge bite and didn't take the thin slice of lime off the top. It started off yummy and then boom, the lime peel. That wasn't fun, but once I figured out that I had to remove the lime, I was golden. The roll was the perfect size, and had such well balanced flavors. It was spicy but not overwhelming. The eel sauce was amazing! And their ginger, oh man, I have to say I was pleased. I stole all of my friends and ate all mine too lol TNT Roll- I'm not a fan of these elaborate rolls, but I was feeling adventurous at the time. I also was in the company of a fellow fatty, so I knew he would finish it lol. This roll is perfect for those of you who enjoy heavy, rich flavors. It had crab salad, avocado, and toped with tuna , salmon, masago. This roles is huge, and they are very generous with the tuna, salmon mixture Overall a nice spot for Tuna and pretty affordable for south beach. I would be back to try some of their ceviche read more

We tried 3 items here. The ceviche was the best of the three! Refreshing in a delicious marinade (suvama) that had a bit of aji, which you find in several traditional Peruvian dishes. The chupe was not good, especially compared to our favorite one back home. It lacked flavor and was just a bit dreary ya know? It's needs help. The samba roll was okay! Nothing to write home to but not bad. Literally taste like what you think Peruvian style sushi is going to taste like. read more

Our first night in town we were wandering near our hotel searching for a spot to eat while exploring our new home away from home. This place looked inviting and fun so we stepped in. The decor was cute and bold and the personalities of the staff were welcoming and friendly. We were seated and began looking over the menu. There was such a wide range - from peruvian to japanese as well as sushi. It actually worked well for our group because each of us had a little something that appealed to us. I decided on the saltado because it was a meat portion with 2 sides - white rice and french fries. I was pretty hungry so the carb load sounded nice. I asked the waitress for a meat suggestion and she said lomo (their steak) - hands down. She said the marinade and spices were incredible and I would not be disappointed. My wife and brother ordered their selections and we waited. Just a few minutes later the waitress brought our beverages over. We chatted and waited for our entrees. They were out quickly and delivered, again, with a kind smile and extremely friendly nature. One bite into the steak and I knew the waitress was on point with her suggestion. The white rice was simple as it should be and complimented the steak well. The french fries had a great flavor to them. Perfect amount of crispy on the outside and still soft and warm inside. I don't usually manage to eat my entire plate but that night I did - I practically licked it clean. Minus a few bites I shared with my dining companions I devoured it all! My wife and brother opted for dessert but since I was full I didn't try anything. They enjoyed the choices but did comment that the Tres Leches Alfajores were an interesting new treat. The waitress had described them but neither my brother or wife had previously tried them before. Our waters were never empty. Our food was delicious and devoured quickly. The staff was kind and friendly. The vibe was upbeat and positive. If you are in the area eat here! Have some saltado for me! read more
