My wife and I had lunch here on a Friday and it was busy. Always a good indication of a good place to eat. I had a big chef salad that was delicious and well appointed while my wife had a patty melt and tater tots. Service was a tad slow but its understandable with the crowd that was there that day. First time, service was great! Except the short girl coming up to me asking me if I have a dog in my car, & that they (customers) were concerned saying that the windows were up! Mind you it is end of Nov, 59 degrees outside! I told her my windows were not up & my dog is fine! My dog is so very spoiled! Water in the back, she even eats better than me! LOL I just felt it was rude and disrespectful & judgemental! They should have looked first to see the windows were down & she has water! Stop trying to create drama!! Now I am a huge advocate for dogs n them being treated right & their health! Although in this situation, these people were just trying to create drama, but I listened to my God and just kept quiet about it! The fried catfish with mashed potatoes and gravy was delicious, and it was very fresh. The sweet tea was amazing as well. The service could use a little more work, I felt as if I had to ask someone for help instead of being greeted. I decided to try this place the other day for lunch and was totally underwhelmed. The service was the worst part. Two servers there and only a few tables but just couldn't seem to get a refill until I asked. Despite walking by several times, she never bothered to look over and notice that I might need a refill....also had to ask for the check and that came at a very slow pace with low energy and only after she cleared another table first at glacial speed. Server seemed completely checked out and unmotivated and only showed signs of life when chatting with her coworker. I ordered the French Dip and fries. The fries could not have been any worse....old, cold, and not crispy at all. Who knows how long those fries had been sitting around. The French dip was the most boring and underwhelming French Dip I've ever had. The sautéed onions on it were tough. Was so underwhelmed with the whole experience and won't be going back. read more

It's a pretty decent meat and three eatery with a nice menu selection and good portions, all at a reasonable price. Some items aren't worth writing home about (mashed potatoes), but then some definitely are (green beans). Meals aside, the true reason to go to Sutton's is their variety of homemade cheesecakes. The service was good and the food filled us up. Dad got the country fried steak and said it was the driest he's ever had, although he finished it. I had the French dip sandwich and it was good. The au jus was 1/4" deep with fresh cracked pepper, which I've never had before and wasn't mentioned in the menu. It was enough juice to finish the sandwich. The food here was wonderful, but the most impressive thing to me as someone in the customer service myself, was the attention our waitress payed to us. There was a bit of a mix up with our salads and the dressing that was put on them, and it was completely our own fault for the confusion. Our waitress, Keily was extraordinarily gratuitous and had the kitchen remake two of the salads to get our own mistake fixed. This next bit is unclear because she was very humble and didn't mention it, but I'm reasonably sure she overheard my mother and aunt mention something about the salad could be better if the dressing was on the side so they could decide how much was on it. Low and behold, without being told or having it addressed to her directly, the next fixed salad that came out had the dressing on the side instead of on top. On top of that, we ordered two slices of one kind of pie, and one slice of another. She brought out two of each instead just to be kind. I am extremely impressed with this wonderful team, both wait staff and kitchen, and I hope to come back here more often. read more

My Wife order the special (Catfish with mashed potatoes and Lima Beans); My Granddaughter order the special (Catfish with Double French Fries); I had the the Special also ( Catfish with mashed potatoes and Okra). The only thing was wrong with the meal was the Okra it was undercook. Restaurant was nice and clean. Restaurant has a wide variety of food, and their dessert are very good. The dessert are cool in house. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. So if you are in the Carrollton Georgia give them a try. Rating this this restaurant a 4.5 out of 5. read more

Tough to beat this place. The food is fantastic with the po boy and the salmon BLT being my favorite meals. The homemade chips are also really good. Save room for dessert because they have amazing cheesecake! They typically rotate flavors but usually have 4-5 flavors per day. read more

I was in town to visit my dad and take him to lunch, and sought out somewhere we hadn't been before. Based on the menu and other reviews, I'm glad we found Sutton's. There's a lot of Southern fare to choose from. My dad had the catfish, mashed potatoes and sautéed green beans, I had the po boy (with catfish, too--also had choice of shrimp). The portions were generous, the food was delicious and our waitress was very attentive and nice. It's a great casual dining experience and we'd definitely go again. Treat yourself. read more

All the food was delicious onion rings were the largest and freshest we have ever had. Homemade chips were fried perfectly. The catfish great. DON'T skip the cheesecake peanut butter fudge was our favorite but Turtle, and Carmel were really good to. Savanna our waitress did a great job. read more

The food at this place is so awesome - I have so many things I want to try. However, it took about 20 mins for the waitress to bring us our checks and about 15 mins to run our card. The division of labor was a little strange. We will give it another try and hope the service is better. read more

How Sutton's has 5 stars is a miracle. You won't find their chefs on any food network channels anytime soon. My wife had the hamburger and fries. The hamburger was cooked into a dry patty with no flavor. I had the country fried steak. This was a disappointment as it was actually a hamburger with a gelatinous gravy and onions with enough salt to exceed the FDA daily requirement in one bite. The cole slaw on the other hand was dry with no flavor as were the green beans. We won't be eating here again! read more
