It's 10:22 and my drink is nowhere to be seen. Them: a party of five came in. They were seated at a small booth where four of them are absolutely filling it. The fifth person pulled a chair from a neighboring table on her own. There will be no room for her to set her food and drink. There is no room for the server to get in to serve them because the table is at the top of the steps in an awkward corner as it is. The hostess is absolutely inept to put this group where she did. We went as a group on a Saturday for a coworkers birthday. The food and service were bad. I always get the same thing and it is the oriental chicken salad. The pieces of chicken were huge super breaded hard as a brick nuggets. Over cooked and looked nothing like normally. My friend got a salad with baked chicken and it was bad as well. I paid 8-9 for a mixed drink. There was no alcohol in it. I don't drink so I would be able to tell of alcohol in it. I did tell the waiter nothing was good and he acted as if he didn't hear me. We went for the first time last night and it was very slow there were plenty of tables open but they weren't sitting people had to wait 30-35 minutes just to be seated, then we had to wait a good 10 minutes just to place our drink order the sweet guy who's was running the bar was having to wait on the entire bar and multiple tables and clean up all by himself while multiple waitresses including the girl who sat us just stood around and hardly did anything. Along with the fact my fiancé and I ran out of drink because we were sitting at our table for a total of 30-40 minutes waiting to be waited on and served our food never got the ranch we asked for or refills. Chloe was amazing. I called ahead (20 min) to see if they could seat our baseball team. 20 plus ppl. They said no problem. Got there and it was set up. Chloe handled our table, got the orders in quick. Within 15 min of ordering our food was coming out. Refills were immediate. Food was great. Checks were separated and no one had any issues. The food was good. I'll start by saying that. The service was not. We were sat in the bar area at a booth. The bartender was the server. The entire time she was incredibly rude and short. She snapped at us twice. When she picked up the money we set down with the check (to pay) she looked at the two twenty dollar bills and asked if we needed change knowing the bill was about $25. My wife and I were at Applebees in Carrrollton on 2/2/24. We were seated promptly but it took over 10 minutes to be greeted by our server and get our drink order. I ordered water and my wife ordered a mojito. the server returned and said they were out of mint so we said make it without mint. She returned and said they couldn't make the drink. We got our food and my wife's chicken nuggets were cold, like they had just come out of the fridge. I wrote an email to the district manager and did not get a response from him, so I called the corporate headquarters and told them of our experience. I got a response from the general manager and she was apologetic. They offered me a refund and an additional free meal, I responded that I didn't want anything for free, that I just wanted good food and service. She made an excuse for her boss and said that the bar staff would not own up to not making our drink. This is the tale of an opportunity missed; a long-awaited chance at redemption squandered, and a restaurant that will apparently just hire any breathing soul to wait its tables. This, my friends, is the story of Erin, who - bless her heart - was making a quarter of a third of a half-hearted attempt to serve we weary and hungry patrons of the Carrollton Applebees last night, but who apparently forgot the "serve" part of "server" and just decided to wing it in a "what the heck, who needs a job" kind of scenario. You see, tonight was the first time my wife and I had set foot in an Applebees in almost a decade. We were dreadfully tired of the other places we eat out, despite them being fantastic ( Here's to you Irish Pub, Shuckers, and Thai Basel ) - and so we decided to go to the one place we hadn't been in 9 or 10 years - good 'ole Applebees. Maybe they were better? Maybe the food was better? Maybe the prices were better? Maybe, just maybe - the service was better? We walked in with high hopes, but soon found ourselves living our last experience at an Applebees and we almost left before we ordered drinks. That said, it was late - probably 9pm and we were hungry. And so, the rest of this horrible story: Erin took our drink orders. Two diet Co... hey, where is she going? I managed to say "TWO diet cokes" as she wisked away, no doubt wanting to provide us with the very best service. Or not. No? Read on... Shortly, we received our drinks. So far, so good except for the near miss on the communication that both of us wanted our own drinks, but crisis averted. Erin took our order. Check. Good job, Erin. She was apparently fairly proficient with a pencil and paper. Then, no Erin. No food. We waited. Approximately 30 minutes later, here comes the food, which let me tell you was absolutely mediocre at best. I mean, I hate to say everything was bad, but the truth is the truth is it not? The ravoli was dry inside. Imagine that!? And the "smoky sauce" was more like thousand island dressing warmed over with some bell pepper pieces from a frozen veggie bag that... I'm sorry - I digress. So the food was brought out by someone who was not Erin. Also, we had no silverware. After asking for something to eat our orange pepper nugget sauced cardboard pasta, again someone else brought us forks. Sadly, we then had to ask for napkins since there were none with the forks. Again, someone else brought us the napkins. You see where this is going? No? Just a bit further... After we ate about half of our meals ( each ), we decided it would be better dinner for our two dogs and we caught Erin between one of her many drive by's of our table and asked for the check and a box. To her credit, she did then ask us one time if we would like more diet coke. Also sadly, "the check" is now done via one of those stupid table top idiot box things and so I proceeded to play the "let's see if this one works" game with it - and paid the check. I gave Erin, who actually did almost nothing for us, a generous 10% tip. I think it was $3.65 cents or something close to that. It was about $3.60 cents more than her "service" was worth, but as my wife scowled at me, I said " I'm a nice guy and I feel generous." Apparently Erin didn't think my tip was generous at all, because by God she probably deserved more than that just for showing up to work and clocking in? Who knows. She came over to our table one more time because she had to since we old folks requested a paper receipt and bluntly asked if I was "figuring that thing out?" Yes, Erin... I figured that thing out and left you a pretty darn nice tip despite not seeing you for most of the hour and a half we were there. I didn't say that of course because - well, I'm a nice guy generally speaking and I kept my mouth shut so that I wouldn't offend her more than I was about to offend her when the receipt printed and she saw she only received a 10% tip. Fast forward 15 minutes later. The wife and I really didn't have anything better to do, so we thought we'd wait her out for our box for our leftover pasta mush. Surprise, surprise, she passed our table a half dozen times, flitting about left and right like a drunken hummingbird on acid, until my wife was finally ready to leave and said " Can we have our box, please?" Well, Ms. Erin did not like that one bit after the horrible tip we left her and she pretended to go and get our box. She waited on other tables, she talked to other employees and generally stayed far away from us, finally sashaying into the kitchen, never to be seen again. A few minutes later, however, someone with a box who again was not Erin, handed it to us without comment. Honestly, the food wasn't that bad I guess for what it is - I mean, it's not Chick-fil-A for pete's sake - But the "service" we got from Erin will ensure that it will be another 10 (or 20?) years before we try Applebees again. I went by my self and sat at the bar, the bar tender was friendly she came pretty quick. I ordered the bone in wings, it took a while for them to come out the were steaming hot and tasted good but $15 for 8 wings? I know prices went up still. I did order the Parmesan sirloin and shrimp and the extra shrimp for $1. when it finally came out it looked good, I always order my steak rare since most cooks over cook anyway no different today, but I guess the grill has a hotspot because one end was medium rare and the other end was actually well done. Hey what can i say? Im a sucker for a quickie... a quick burger and beer during the rush hours of dinner ... This location is conveniently located off the highway and is right next to Publix and Target (perfect for the after grocery days) The price is fair, and the burgers are fair, but the service is always nice! My food always comes out on a timely manner, the many times I have been here there had been rarely any mess ups, the beer is always cold, and the staff is always smiling. Used to love to eat here but it's gone downhill. Restaurant had just opened at 11:00 and the seats were dirty with food on them from the previous night. The plastic between the booths was filthy. Menu is extremely limited now, which I understand with everything going on. Went to order and waitress told us that we could get our meals 2/$20 with a free appetizer. Ok, great deal, let's do that! Got the bill and it was $29.99. When we questioned it the waitress said that what we got was actually 2/$29 and that it was a habit for her to say 2/20. I had my dinner delivered tonight by a local delivery company. When I went back into the house I looked in the bag. I had ordered an appetizer and an entree. The appetizer was in the bag but no main course. I called the restaurant and was told the matter would be investigated but it might take a couple of days. Is this what they say to customers eating in? As if that weren't enough the appetizer was stone cold and one item smelled every bit like an old wet cigarette butt. Came with the family for a quick meal I had the steak and black bean soup when it came out it was slightly warm but they brought me a new one witch was hot and very good just wish the steak in the soup was cooked more to a mid rare to medium than well done but other wise really good and for my meal I had the bone in pork chop with garlic string beans and pecan and maple butter mashed sweet potatoes the pork chop was pretty good but a little over cooked the string beans were watery and bland not so great but the sweet mashed potatoes were awsome and our server was great and made sure we were enjoying our meal and that every thing was right plus they had a special on Sam Adam's drat buy one get one free and a free glass witch was great and for that reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 3 not the best meal but not the worst I've ever had overall I left satisfied read more

We use to love to go here and and eat lunch. But, within the last few months it has went down hill. Under new management. Walked in today went to restroom. It was 11:45 am, trash was overflowing. I had lunch at Applebee's yesterday and the food was wonderful. I chose the pick 2 lunch combo with chicken tortilla soup and thai shrimp salad. I loved the fact the calorie count was low and still plenty of food to fill me up and the taste was great. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. we ordered to go and we had waited outside for a while (the food was done) so finally after about 10 min we go inside and see what's up (it isn't busy) we walk to the bar because nobody was at the stand to get your to go order and the girl took forever and told us to go wait by the stand that nobody was at about 4 employees look me dead in my face and no help finally this nice lady finally got us our food and we left (the food was cold) overall we waited forever and the customer service is absolutely terrible I don't recommend please find a different Applebee's! read more

Not much to say besides the fact that I love this Applebee's. I'm in college, and I work crazy hours. Saturday night Applebee's was closing at 1 AM, but I didn't get off work until about 12:30 and the employee that I spoke on the phone with was very understanding and still took my order. They also gave me the time to get there and pick up my food. Everyone that I came in contact with was very nice, they brought my food out of the kitchen very quickly also. I ordered a cheeseburger meal and a side caesar salad, both entrees were AMAZING and tasted fresh. Thanks for the great service! I will be back. read more

Haven't gone to an Applebee's restaurant in a while but decided to because $1 margs. They weren't that great, what was great though was the food ! Loved the chicken wonton tacos it's cheaper if u get the 2 for 9.69 which our server did point out after I had order a single order of them @ $7.69. Ordered the seasonal drink, Dracula's Juice which was delicious ,only thing is that it didn't come with any of the decorative berries because they had run out. So not picture worthy. I had the cedar grilled lemon chicken, the chicken was good but the rice I did not like. Our server seemed a bit lost but he did a good job in the end. Wait staff and hosts were great. The kitchen is the problem. There was a ton of salt on the chips. Couldn't eat most of them. My Caesar salad was swimming in dressing. My potato was hard. My medium rare steak was medium well almost well done. I had to send it back, which is something I have never done before. The second one came back more done than the first one. Came to Carollton for work. Generally, Applebee's would be the last place I'd go. Not that I'm a snob, I just prefer to find local spots. Tonight, that really wasn't an opportunity. My co-workers; Gene, Dan, and myself came in and we're happy we did. We were immediately greeted by a hostess, and quickly found seats at the bar. The bartender...I believe her name is Tiffany, couldn't have been more awesome. Apparently it was karaoke night (another first for an Applebee's outing) but the dj was great, and introduced himself to everyone in the bar. He was great. (We're in the south, so a lot of country, but a lot of other types too. He was good.) The bartender (Tiffany, or that's what she told me) was great. It was myself and my 2 daughters with 2 babies in 2 carriers and tried to see if we could sit at a table instead of a booth to have more room and were told "We dont have any servers in that section".
