My husband and I just moved to Austin and we bought a house recently. The previous owner said he hired professionals to clean the house already and it's ready for us to move in. When we came in, spider webs on the door, dusty cabinets and so on. Definitely not ideal for us to live in yet. My husband found Susy Q cleaning through Yelp and he called in. The girl who answered our call, I think her name is Yvette, she gave us a quote immediately after asking about house dimension etc and she has the next day available. We booked the move out/move in cleaning service and the next day 2 ladies came in with all equipments. Our electricity hasn't turned on at that time and ladies were very understanding and they cleaned everything else first. The service took about 4 hours and we left during the 2nd half. When we came back the house was sparkling clean!!! They hit all the spots that we asked them to. And gosh!! The bathrooms are squeaky clean as if it's a newly built house. Overall, we had a great experience with Susy Q. Didn't get the chance to ask the ladies names' but they're very professionals and friendly. I want to state that I HATE leaving negative reviews, and am only doing so because the customer service has been SO horrible. I'd rather just move on but I want to validate if others deal with this. My experiences this year (2021) have included: -being told a "deep clean " was required if there was more than 2 weeks between cleanings (and later finding out this is not true) and therefore being charged $100 extra for services we did not need. (Several instances) -confirming a month in advance that we had appointments scheduled for ongoing biweekly appointments, only to find out the day before the first one that all appointments were deleted -sending multiple emails and texts getting thoughtless replies, such as confirmation of things that I was later told would not work. For instance I left the house and forgot to leave sheets out. I emailed the company where to find the sheets and got a reply that this would be fine. I came home and the bed had been half stripped and not even remade with the original bedding. -having a 30 minute phone call to attempt to resolve the above and secure ongoing service, only to find out later that day that even though I specified Tuesdays are the only days that work for me, they booked me for recurring Wednesday appointments. -NEVER receiving invoices or receipts despite being assured I would -Being charged the wrong amount based on my house size (once I saw the invoice after having to request it several times) and not being charged for a tip (so my cleaners didn't get a tip) despite multiple documentations of me asking to be charged 20% more so the cleaners would have a reliable tip (and being told that it would happen) -My continued notes and requests about how to clean, how to get in the house, and where things were being ignored or more often being told "yes we will tell them!" But then being called later to have to tell them again. Looking at all this, I feel silly that I did not discontinue my efforts sooner. It's been so hard to find reliable help and I have health issues that make it necessary for me to have reliable help. I also wanted to be a good a loyal/easy customer because I know so many of us are having a hard time. Susy Q worked out great for us, we needed a whole house clean and they even made my mess of an office look really nice First to address some things I saw in bad reviews: It was easy to schedule, even with my complicated requests. They were a little late but not by much and that was fine because it happens often with services like this and Dalia made sure that she reached me many hours in advance so that I'd be informed and OK it. Plenty of heads up and they weren't even that late, most places probably wouldn't bother to call. It's true that it's a little more expensive than some services but let's be honest, house cleaners are underpaid for their hard work, and it really is hard work physically among other things. I am pleased to support a business that can hopefully pay their employees more of what they deserve for the important work that they do. They used to be quite good, but recently the customer service has been lacking. There has been lots of miscommunication about when we wanted service, what days and times, and have had our times changed without warning multiple times. There have been multiple times where they have not cleaned things thoroughly, leaving streaky floors, unmade beds, etc. Recently I scheduled three cleanings in advance so my family could have peace of mind. We found out today that our cleaning for tomorrow was cancelled, and they were not helpful in getting it rescheduled. And when we tried to schedule things way in advance, they never remember our preferences even though we tell them every time that there is only one weekday on which they can come over. It's been too much hassle to keep trying to get what we want, and it's really a shame. read more

Our first experience with Susy Q's was way more than a year ago, and I feel bad I haven't written this review since then, because Susy Q Cleaning totally saved us. We had booked a move out cleaning with another company recommended by our landlord, and they cancelled on us the day before. We were frantic, because we had to leave the state. With one call to Susy Q, we not only had another cleaning booked on short notice, but they quoted us significantly less. The house was spotless, and looked so much better than when we moved in. So, after more than a year in our new house, I wanted to treat myself to the joy of not scrubbing my own bathtub. You should treat yourself to this too, because it's amazing. The cleaners did the bathroom and kitchen both beautifully (our main goals) but also made our bed with those beautiful sharp hotel corners, and efficiently mopped the floors and vacuumed the rugs- we have a high traffic main room and a black dog, and that rug hasn't looked so good in a while. When they moved some belongings to dust underneath them, everything was put back in its place and with care. Customer service was super attentive, and the price we paid was again very reasonable. It's definitely a treat to have the house scrubbed, but Susy Q does such a great job and without totally breaking the bank. Thank you, guys! read more

We've had Susy Q Cleaning come out twice so far to clean our home and have been very happy with the results. The ladies have been very friendly, hard-working, and a joy to have in our home. We've been home for both of the cleanings so far, but don't need to do anything other than stay out of the way! There's been some bad reviews recently, but I can only speak for our experience so far, which has been good. We've only dealt with Dalia (aside from the ladies) and she has been nothing but polite and accommodating. We had an appraisal coming up and were ready to just clean the house ourselves, but Dalia was relentless in finding a way to fit us into the schedule. She didn't have to do that and we certainly did not pressure her, so we appreciate her going above and beyond. We're fortunate to be flexible on dates as we work from home and do not have children, so we don't have as strict needs/expectations as other I suppose. We just want a clean home and good service, and have had both for our 2 cleanings. P.S. We picked Susy Q because of the good reviews, Dalia's friendliness (and not frankly ridiculous initial quote like some other services), and to be honest we see their cars on the east side all the time. I switched to Susy Q a few years ago, and I'm so glad I did. They are very courteous and efficient. They are far far faster and cleaner than I could ever get cleaning the house myself, and when I think about the cost vs the time it would take me, it's well worth the cost. They also have their managers do period inspections of the teams' work and take feedback well--they adjusted all the little things I preferred. I also appreciate that they are flexible with my schedule, as long as I give them fair warning. Prior to the service delivery I got a call to confirm and the rep once again, verbalized the service notes to ensure that they got it right. During service there was a minor change at which the cleaner called me to confirm (I was not at home). After the service I was contacted again to see if I was satisfied. Had great experiences with them for years, loved the cleanings. Only problem was toys and Legos kept getting vacuumed up, so asked for one room not to be vacuumed, then only that room would get vacuumed. Schedule got confused as well, and unable to get anyone on the phone or email to resolve, finally had to cancel, and still couldn't get ahold of anyone to figure out of something could be done to resolve the issues. Having the ability to just schedule every 2 or 4 weeks between cleanings and some degree of specificity would be ideal. If a cleaning gets rescheduled having another one the next week isn't ideal for my case. Would love to hear back from them to have resolved the issues, but having to find another cleaner as good is a bit of a challenge. Got hung up on when trying to resolve a miscommunication and they were unreachable after that. read more

I've used this company for quite sometime and the cleaners themselves have always been courteous. Their cleaning has been acceptable not great. The real issue is that they regularly arrive late. When this has occurred it prompts a call to them that inevitably has me speaking with their dispatch office. The dispatch office is a total nightmare. This department is aggressive and rude. Today was one of those days and I've decided to stop doing business with this company. If lateness (ie. Outside the scheduled window) isn't an issue for you then they are fine cleaners. We had the absolute worst experience with this company. They locked me out of my house. Manager stated they would send a supervisor over to help get in the house immediately. They didn't show up til after 2 hours. I had to call my own locksmith. Victor didn't want to pay the locksmith fee. I had to go to the owner hi finally did reimburse me. They parked in the driveway when they were asked not to. The driveway is an incline and you can't see when backing out of garage. After coasting out I tapped there Bumper. Did nothing to my car. There grill had a small amount of damage. The driver refused to give her license and could barely speak any English. They backed out and I ent on to work. They cleaned and worked the rest of the day. Victor sent the same lady to the hour to try and help me get in. All of sudden she says the car isn't drivable that the radiator was leaking. There was no fluid or leakage anywhere. My ins took pictures of the ground in both places the car was parked. There were jumper cables in the front seat of the car that the insurance got pic of. All of a sudden a week later the lady that refused to give license said she was hurt tho she wasn't even in the vehicle. She said she didn't go to doctor tho. I asked the owner to call me about supposed injury and that was over a week ago. The prices at very high. I was charged for a cancellation prior to this event because they lot the key and I couldn't leave irk to let them in. They charged 200 for a small 2 bedroom duplex. They didn't lower the rate until I was cancelling the service. I should of known thy were crooked by how much thy charged m for a 1000 sq foot place. I have yet to hear from owner still. I request a different person to clean since this other lady was so dishonest. Luckily my insurance company is very thorough. I had Suzy Q come clean my house last week. I have multiple people call me that did not seem to communicate to each other that I had already made an appointment. There was a miscommunication about the quote because the ladies that actually came to clean the house agreed to a different price than the office had authorized. The office called me to give me a higher quote. This seemed ridiculous to me to negotiate the cleaning of my house with someone who wasn't actually in my house. At the end, they did honor the lower price that I was quoted. Also, the office claimed they only used eco-friendly products, but I watched the lady in my house clean everything with the same bottle of Windex. They did a good job cleaning, but it was not worth all the hassle. I will not use this service again. read more

I've used Susy Q for a few months to come every other Friday to clean my house. Twice they "forgot" to clean the biggest room in my small house (the den). I called the first time to clear up the "misunderstanding" and they offered to give a $25 credit. Fine. That's cool. But the second time they did it I was offered a $10 credit. ....this was after me calling and emailing them twice. They seem to think that offering to have the crew come back is a reasonable solution as if there is nothing going on in my house that would be interrupted by having to wait for a cleaning crew to come and clean the den. (we had house-guests) They like to say "I apologize" over and over, but they're not keen on customer service best practices like calling your customer to see if the job was done right after the job was done wrong twice...you know, stuff like that. Anyway, the rest of the house was nice and clean. It seems they know how to clean, but the admin side of things is a cluster and no one is trying to make it better. I've chosen to find a new service. If you're ok with having to police your account and do all the admin work, this is the service for you. The actually cleaners were great, friendly, and professional. Can't say the same for the folks on the phone. UPDATE: As soon as I posted this review I got a confrontational phone call from Dalia asking me if I'd read my service agreement when I first joined. She proceeded to tell me how rude I am (because I'd said "you know what? fuck it. keep the refund....I'm done.") and that they don't give credits or refunds. She would not let me finish my sentences even after I asked her to 3 times. This is what I mean by they don't try to make it better. UPDATE #2: Just got a text from Suzy Q: "We have a record conversation about your vocabulary. What level of education you have all we try to do is re do a job because we do not so refunds.
