Paid for "Deep Clean", mark missed completely Short Review:…read more$200 more expensive than MerryMaids ($478 vs $272) cleaning with less spaces cleaned than the lower priced service, equivalent cleanliness results. MerryMaids crew stayed two hours longer, did more work. Two stars for the overall experience - Pretty good cleaners by raw talent, extremely overpriced compared to the competition, middle of the market when it comes to cleanliness. Below market customer service for arguing with me about cleaning dirt off the corners of the base boards, then didn't return my sponge. Used soap on all my cast iron without asking, now I have to re-season everything. Long Review: I just paid $478 for a "deep clean" that was in all fairness a pretty good cleaning if it were a routine cleaning. Comparable to the "sparkle" cleaning I paid for from Merry Maids eight months ago for $272, but not as thorough. The only exception being that Merry Maids cleaned my sliding glass doors and the balconies, which was included in the original quote. I paid extra both times for the stove cleaning, the refrigerator etc. I also talked to a guy at their office (I think) on the phone and told him how much more I was paying compared to the last cleaning and that my expectation was that the money spent should be reflected in the level of cleanliness. He assured me that the two ladies were "the best". When they said they were done, I asked about the balconies, and they said they don't do that. There wasn't an option for that on the website either, like there was on the Merry Maids website. I also had to argue with the lady when they were trying to leave after less than 3.5 hours of work (1,600sq ft) to have her wipe down the corners of the wall by the base boards. She said it needed to be painted. When I removed the dirt by dabbing my kitchen sponge on it (they didn't bring any, just rags), she relented and wiped off the dirt. I later found that she apparently didn't return my sponge. I also had to instruct them on cleaning behind my AV system and stand, which I would assume that would be included in a "deep clean". I also found that my cast iron pans were cleaned with soap and were put in my oven wet. That's a big no no for cast because it immediately starts to oxidize. One of the pans is already showing rust so I'll have to strip it, sand it, and start over. If I'm paying for a "deep cleaning," what exactly is being cleaned that isn't part of the regular cleaning? And why would I have to monitor them and guide them on how to clean a house? I figured using a little elbow grease to remove easily removable dirt would be part of the additional fee I paid. I have attached an example of the deep clean on my floor, it took 8 seconds with a different sponge to make it look clean. I'm completely blown away by all these five star reviews. Even if these ladies are being paid $25 an hour, that's more than $300 to the business. That's more than a 60% margin against labor. If you want to pay twice as much as you need to, by all means use these people. I'll be going back to MerryMaids. I was later contacted and they pointed out that I had booked two rooms and the cleaning crew reported five. I responded that I correctly described my house when booking as having two bedrooms and 2.5 baths (clearly labeled dropdown menus), along with the square footage that includes the garage and balconies that were never touched. There is nowhere to list total number of rooms.

When we came in, spider webs on the door, dusty cabinets and so on. Definitely not ideal for us to live in yet. My husband found Susy Q cleaning through Yelp and he called in. The girl who answered our call, I think her name is Yvette, she gave us a quote immediately after asking about house dimension etc and she has the next day available. We booked the move out/move in cleaning service and the next day 2 ladies came in with all equipments. Our electricity hasn't turned on at that time and ladies were very understanding and they cleaned everything else first. The service took about 4 hours and we left during the 2nd half. When we came back the house was sparkling clean!!! They hit all the spots that we asked them to. And gosh!! The bathrooms are squeaky clean as if it's a newly built house. Overall, we had a great experience with Susy Q. Didn't get the chance to ask the ladies names' but they're very professionals and friendly. Will definitely hire Susy Q if we ever need professional cleaning !

We were moving cross country during the huge ice storm this year. Our move-out date kept getting pushed and most of the city was without electricity. Ginger kept in close contact with us the entire week and was incredibly gracious and organized keeping up with our constantly changing date. The fact that she was so fast to respond to our emails during a time of statewide crisis was truly amazing. We weren't able to be at the condo the day the maids cleaned, and I was nervous that a lack of supervision might lead them to miss some spots since we weren't there to answer questions, but my fears were unwarranted. Our landlady saw the before-and-after state of the condo and said she was amazed at how clean it was, considering that the moving guys had tracked so much mud all over the place. We'd sprung for the baseboard cleaning and interior window cleaning and I think that was money well spent. Thank you so much to the entire Austin Maid Service team for being the only thing during the ice storm that went smoothly!

They also provided a phone number and were very willing to talk to me about the situation. That was nice because they could only guess as to the intensity level of how that call would go, but were still very willing to speak to me. They had no obvious record of receiving my email correspondence. I verified the email address I sent them to (as I had directly replied to their correspondence) and they have indicated they are looking for them. Unfortunately, the problem was over a year ago, and I sat on writing this updated review a long time, so it is doubtful they will be found. I cannot verify that the emails were not received, but I know that problems like this occur. I will not question their honesty. The three times I did use them, other than the problems that resulted in the offer for a free cleaning, they did do a good job. They have offered to work with me and make good on their promise. I sincerely believe they will do this. However, I am not taking them up on this offer. Please note they they are doing this in good faith. For this reason I am increasing their stars, (due to this new interaction); they do not warrant an ugly one star review that hurts the business when they obviously are trying to do the best due diligence possible with this very delayed situation and their over all work was good. ---------------------------- I've held off on this updated review, but it is now time. When I was selling my home, I re-hired Austin's Maid Service. They came to clean my house on the day the realtor was coming to take photos. The freezer and ice tray were not cleaned (and I was completely moved out, with no cleaning supplies, so I had to go to a neighbor to get some to clean it myself). Also, one of the cleaners broke a light bulb in my bathroom, forcing me to replace all the bulbs (I couldn't match the other 3 bulbs), which caused me to be later to work than I had planned. Ginger apologized and offered me a future cleaning at no cost. Ginger's email stated: "Thank you so much for this update! I'm disappointed to hear this. What I'd like to offer is if you were to give our company another chance, your next cleaning would be 100% complimentary. We are always working to improve our service and our staffing and we, and I, take that work and effort seriously. I apologize that the service was lacking and that we were unable to get out there in a timely manner to resolve this issue. I genuinely appreciate your feedback and input. If we can be of service at any point in the future, your next cleaning will be complimentary, and then we can simply take it one step at a time from there. Thank you again - Ginger & Co." Well, I reached out a couple of years later, to that exact email and heard crickets. NO REPLY. I tried again. NO REPLY. I tried again. I was relying on this complimentary cleaning for the condo I was moving from. Do not hire this company. If the owner, Ginger, will not honor a written promise of a service, I do not think she will be honorable to any promise she gives to you.

Shining bright, extremely clean, and smelling fantastic!!!! They were even able to get the shower grout back to looking new. I think the pricing is extremely reasonable (even the rate before the special) because two women came in here and busted a## to make our apartment sparkle.
