We had also seen plenty of positive reviews before making the trip, so maybe we just caught them on an off day. I was disappointed to find out afterward that they have a Sunday brunch menu with a lot more options, including dishes like catfish and shrimp. Even a table of older ladies sitting beside us mentioned wishing they served cornbread--or any type of bread. There were no rolls, biscuits, cornbread...nothing. Personally, I think offering some of those Sunday menu options every day would make the menu much better. I was disappointed after driving over two hours to try this restaurant, but I am willing to give it another chance. However, my next visit will definitely have to be on a Sunday so I can experience more of what the menu has to offer. Everyone's experience is different, and this just happened to be ours.

What?? So... my husband and I said no thank you and went to Cowboy Town which is a very short drive away. Please go there instead. Great food and drinks with a super cool small town vibe, live music, and barrel racing most weekends. Maybe when the weather is warm and the pool is open, The View would be a cool establishment. But it needs to be seasonal only and absolutely closed the remainder of the year. Bless it. I do believe the reviews you see are mostly BS. Please pay very close attention to the details of them.
