What a wonderful gem in San Dimas! I'm so happy to find such excellent quality sushi so close to home. We had the Omakase and it was SO MUCH food and SO delicious. Every sushi was paired with something fancy and special, either caviar, sea urchin, or truffle. Everything just kept getting better when we thought we already hit the jackpot. Some dishes were so amazing that we even ordered some to go to enjoy at home. The chef came out several times to ensure we were enjoying his Omakase journey and we were so excited to express our gratitude. Made our anniversary even more special. I have had this place bookmarked for a while now and I finally got to try it out. Sushiya is located in the San Dimas area. Came here for dinner and the service was amazing! I felt like they paid attention to their patrons and asked if we wanted anything else or needed a refill! Their rolls are massive and I think we accidentally ordered too much food but it was all tasty. This is like American-style Sushi so the rolls are thick and have many different options. My favorite item though has to be the salmon collar! They made this perfect. It was nicely fried and juicy on the inside without being dry. Loved every bite of it and was completely stuffed. Our table was perfect--huge thanks to the host for the heads-up on the size! We ordered a variety of dishes, from the oysters shooters with uni to a chilled bottle of sake. I ordered a large party of 7 and since the phone was ringing off the hook I just went there to place the order. There was already a line almost out the door and the seating inside was packed!! For myself, I got the salmon teriyaki bento box and it comes with a bunch of cool stuff inside. The plating itself is so organized and cute. Overall I would come back here all the time!! Just note they do take a little bit of time but right next door is a supermarket so you can browse there while you wait.

I've been to plenty of sushi places, but Sushiya holds a special place. Every visit feels like a culinary adventure, with fresh ingredients and beautifully crafted dishes that never disappoint. The quality here is consistently top notch. The Toro melts in your mouth, and the Salmon Belly nigiri is perfection. Their signature Sakura Roll, with spicy tuna, avocado, and seared salmon on top, is my personal favorite flavorful and perfectly balanced. Traditional concept welcoming atmosphere makes it a great spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making you feel like a valued guest. They remember my preferences, which adds a personal touch that keeps me coming back. Reasonably priced for the quality, especially considering the generous portions. You get what you pay for, and here, it's always worth it. Sushiya is my go to when I'm craving fresh, delicious sushi. I ordered takeout on Friday night and was disappointed to notice that the quality of the sushi has declined. I used to be a fan of Sushiya, and it was one of my top go-to spots in the area. We ordered five items, three of which had avocado on top or outside of the rolls. Unfortunately, the avocado was very brown. While that doesn't necessarily indicate it's bad, it made the rolls look unappetizing. When we picked up our order at 5:30 PM, the staff were quite short and not as friendly as I had experienced in the past. The food in our to-go bag was lopsided, which caused some leakage from one of the containers at the bottom of the bag. As we unpacked our items, we noticed that each container had a layer of grease on the bottom. The restaurant was busy, as expected (which is why we ordered takeout), so I understand that things might have been chaotic. However, overall, it was a disappointing experience. read more
