Seared garlic salmon nigiri, spicy ahi crispy rice nigiri and banana matcha

I don't come here very often but I enjoyed everything I had. This was also my first time trying any type of matcha and I really liked it.

Crunch don, ikura don, natto roll, unagi roll, ocean seaweed salad nigiri, and takoyaki!

We used to get Sushiman in Kaimuki for my husband's grandparents when we picked up food for them or helped them grab their platters before going to family parties. So glad there is a location in Hawaii Kai! I think we came here a few years ago and forgot we did until recently, shame on us! It's a small shop that has limited seating but we prefer doing takeout. We got the ikura don, crunchy don, takoyaki, natto roll, and unagi roll, and seaweed salad nigiri. Everything was delicious and exceeded expectations. The crunchy don topping was actually crunchy, the fish didn't have any old or super fishy taste that quick sushi spots like this sometimes has, takoyaki was better than i thought it would be, and they didn't put ginger in the don as requested which is always noticed and appreciated. We will be back! Such an easy spot for a quick lunch or dinner.

Believe this is called the family deluxe platter. Nice mix of pieces and just the right size for a small family.

Easy telephone ordering, large variety of options to choose from, plenty of parking and our order was ready on time Christmas Day! Good, reliable sushi option in Hawaii Kai! We always do takeout.

Taste different. Not as flavorful. Prices went up and portions got smaller. Sad but reality for most places. $5 for one hand roll now.

Crunch don, dynamite maki, and shrimp tempura nigiri all freshly made nice and warm.

My favorite is the crunch don, dynamite maki, and shrimp tempura maki. I gotta say it's the best I've tried and I'll keep coming back for a quick sushi fix. Service is very good. Ambiance is what you'd expect for a small sushi shop.

I had the Spicy Salmon Maki. Service was great and fast. However, the salmon did not taste super fresh. I paid $19, which is a bit expensive for what it is.

Just hiked the Koko Crater and we were craving some sushi. This came up in a search, so we dined in, ordering couple of their rolls and a Katsu bento box. They were made to order and tasted pretty decent. The rolls were a bit on the larger size (per bite), as the there was more rice than should've been.

Awesome food and experience. I had the chirashi bowl, matcha drink, miso soup, kaarage, and kimchee. The fish was good quality and I liked the proportion of food to rice . I also tried their banana matcha drink, and I'm ngl I don't really care for matcha but I would 100% go back just to get that. They definitely made that with love. The chicken kaarage was crispy, but warm and juicy on the inside. Delicious. Plus, the food came out quickly and the owners and employees were very friendly and welcoming! Had a smile on my face the whole time I was there. Inviting aura for sure. We will definitely be coming back

Favorite sushi and the customer service is always very professional. It is also nicely nestled close to the ocean for waterfront dining.

We were a bit disappointed with the tower. We thought it would be bigger. The dish itself was good though. The rolls were also yummy, with a good amount of flavor and fish in the rolls. The hurricane roll had a decent amount of sauce, which felt a bit overbearing at times. However, the sauce tasted good so not much to complain about. Overall not bad.

We ordered the short ribs, lobster appetizer, hamachi crudo and lastly sashimi moriawase to finish food palate. Lukki lemon dessert was great way to end to night. Ordered the Milk tea bouquet cocktail while my better half had water ( either way the food coma knock him out cold the rest of the night lol). To be honest, it was difficult to determine which dish was the best because the staff kept quality there despite it being busy every night since they announce the closure. Sashimi moriawase, fish was so fresh, reminded me of my time spent in Hokkaido and Sapporo. Short ribs was soft and rich in flavor. Although they have a clean and comfortable space for dining in, we regularly stop by after church or on the weekends for something to savor at our favorite park. Seriously, it's easy to enjoy their bowls, sushi sets, or bentos anytime and anyplace. We've got a passion for this place. Here's how this love affair started...I discovered Domo when a friend invited me for some sushi and sips at her place. I was amazed at the beautiful platter of sushi that accompanied our sake and wine. My friends are the best hosts! I devoured the bombs, nigiris and rolls (in between sips!). Everything was simply delicious! Fast forward a few months, I order a couple sushi sets to host a poolside, golden-hour birthday get together at my other friend's home. (I know, you want to be part of this squad, right?!). Anyway, using the online order system is a snap! My hubby went in to pick up the sushi and said they were slammed but our sushi sets were ready to go. This time we ordered some ikura because the hubby and my bestie are big fans. Both agree it was fresh and fantastic! And the garlic set with the flash-seared fish and a hint of mayo is a MUST-try. We also ordered a California roll for my friend's aunt who is not really a sushi fan. She delighted in several pieces and even enjoyed the nigiri from the garlic set. Total convert! After enjoying the platters and sets, we had to try the bentos and bowls. This time it's just us and the pup at the park. The bentos provide a great variety and comes with miso soup. The hubby really likes the shrimp tempura with ahi and salmon nigiri and ahi poke. It's a steal at less than $20. I'm a bowl girl myself and like the spicy tempura. The tempura is cooked crisp yet tender. The spicy ahi poke combined with the creamy crab salad and the crunchy ocean salad delights all my tastes buds. It's truly an adventure in finding the perfect bite--and there are so many in this bowl! I also love the seared salmon bowl. It is melt-in-your-mouth goodness. I add the fried onions for some texture. You know a place is top-notch when you can feel confident that anything off their menu will satisfy your cravings. Because this is a Yelp review, here are some helpful tips. For sushi platters, pre-order. The online system is simple to use. Service is fast and efficient if you're just walking in for a quick bite or to grab something to go. Parking has always been easy for us to find in the small lot in the complex where Domo is located. It's right next to Assagio's Kahala. But if you're worried about parking, I suggest ordering in advance and then just picking up. This works great during peak dining hours. If you want fresh, delicious sushi that is reasonably priced be like us and visit Domo Café. You will probably also be like us and want to go back to try more.
