One of THE best sushi spots in MKE! We were greeted promptly & sat at a table in the modern, open dining area. I don't recall the name of my drink but it was delicious! Just as pretty to look at. I ordered the Blooming Flower Roll as well as the Volcano Roll. Both rolls had a fresh, clean flavor. Loved the cilantro in both! The meal came with a salad that had THE most delicious sesame dressing! I could have eaten 3 more bowls!!! I ended the meal with green tea mochi. Perfect palate cleanser & end to a delicious meal. Can't wait to go back!

Probably the best quality sushi in Bay View but you're going to pay a little extra for that quality but I think it's worth it. We had the veggie tempura and three various rolls. Loved the tempura with huge pieces of broccoli and other veggies. Service was friendly and we got our food relatively quick. The rolls were so fresh I couldn't believe the quality I was tasting in the Midwest!

Ordered to go from Sushi Yuki for my first time visiting and it did not disappoint! Pick up was very efficient and took about 20 minutes to have ready. I tried their Philadelphia roll and sweet potato roll both of which were delicious and very fresh tasting . The miso soup is very simple, but also had very good flavor. Definitely plan to come back soon so I can try additional menu items! Would also recommend trying Sushi Yuki

There's a reason this place has so many high ratings! Literally obsessed and will be coming back again. It's Family-owned, incredibly warm, and the service is truly top tier. I'm talking attentive, kind, and fun without ever feeling overbearing! The fish was fresh and so well prepared. I had the scallop nigiri and smoked salmon nigiri (3 pieces per order which I loved), and everything was perfect. They were super accommodating with food allergies and even included a complimentary salad that was light and fresh. My friends loved their rolls and the karaage chicken. Easily a 10/10 and a must-visit.

Had a lovely evening at Sushi Yuki. Went there for my friend's birthday and the service was outstanding! Our server, Sae, was the sweetest! We laughed and had so much fun. The food was really tasty and the complimentary mango mochi ice cream dessert was the perfect ending to the meal. It's the decorated so beautifully inside with gorgeous pottery you eat out of. Love it!

This place is just adorable! I love how beautifully decorated it was for the holidays, and all the waitresses were dressed up with fun holiday hats on. Our servers were so cheery and genuine, and so so nice. For our dinner, we ordered the fried pork gyoza as an app, which were super good. As my main, I had the orange county roll which was a little dense, but still very delicious. My friend had the chicken teriyaki, which I stole several bites from. I am looking forward to visiting here again soon, my experience was wonderful!!

Such a special place for all special occasions! We instantly felt welcomed and at home here. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted and gave our names for our reservation. We went early evening on a Friday, and reservations were recommended. It wasn't overly busy and felt very relaxing inside. The inside is beautiful and the entire staff was kind and welcoming. Sae is seriously THE best at her job! We had so much fun with her the entire visit and would've loved to just have her join us. She gave incredible recommendations and made us feel like part of the family. She shows so much pride is working there and truly represented the restaurant with ownership and know-how. As for the sushi, hands down in the top of any I've ever had, and trust me this body was made by sushi . And even better, the incredible price point. I was shocked at how fresh, flavorful, and quality the food was for comparable prices to other sushi places that are barely passable. We ordered the salmon cheek as an appetizer; this was beautifully cooked to perfection and a rare site for a menu. A true mark of a professional kitchen of this cuisine using the whole fish in this way. They truly honored the salmon and all it's worth. I ordered the salmon set, and my spouse a house roll and the blooming flower roll. Everything was served promptly and correctly. Our drinks were beautifully made, fresh, and unique. Plus their house sauce/dressing? Simply divine. We're so glad we were gifted a visit here, and we can't wait to make it a regular date night here.

@sushiyukibay took over my heart last night. No exaggeration. Service: Our server Sae was one of the sweetest, most bubbly servers I have EVER had. She was so knowledgeable, very attentive, always smiling. Hands down one of my favorite servers I have ever had. Ambiance: Modern, Japanese style with amazing Japanese acoustic music that I was vibin to! Very open, very clean. The sushi bar was beautiful. I was sad that it was so empty on a Saturday night, although the packers were playing the bears later that evening so maybe that is why?! Drinks: I got the Yuki Sour, which was delicious. Super sour, which is my favorite. My husband got a dirty martini, which he enjoyed! He also tried the old fashioned, it was a little too sweet for him. Food: We started with the shrimp tempura, which was lightly fried and absolutely delicious. The chicken gyoza were so fresh tasting, perfectly fried and that dipping sauce was perfection. We tried one of their special rolls, I believe it was called The Imperial Roll or something... anyways, it was to die for. One of our favorites of the night, especially with the raw salmon on top. That salmon was like butter in my mouth. The other rolls we ordered--The Blooming Flower (super fresh, light lemon), Green Sky (the most crazy, insane flavor profile with lemon, garlic, cilantro... OUR FAVORITE), Crazy Winter Roll (also delicious, but heavier because it was lightly fried), and then the basic crunchy California roll, which exceeded my expectations. We also got some nigiri, literally tasted like they caught the fish in the back. That salad dressing that came on the salad was unreal, like I could drink gallons. They make the dressing in-house and you can purchase 8oz to take home! Can y'all tell I love this place? Highly recommend!!

My friend and I had reservations at 4:30 right when they opened, we were greeted immediately and sat down promptly. Service was great -- our server Cam was attentive and fun to banter with. Ambience was nice and the noise level was loud enough to be bustling but quiet enough you could enjoy a conversation. We ordered the seaweed salad, ika salad, and four sushi rolls. All were delicious and tasted very different from each other. We were surprised at how much you could taste the char from the Anniversary roll, it was a unique experience. Would definitely come back here and have already told quite a few friends to go check it out!

I ordered the chefs special roll and it was so damn good. Roasted tuna and so many other things-- I can't remember bc I'm slightly wasted. (I ordered the melon sour (yum))

Sushi Yuki is absolutely incredible. It was so fresh and the service is amazing. We will definitely be coming back!

I want to preface this review by saying that I have a go-to sushi place that I go to on a near weekly basis that I think is as good as it gets in terms of ambiance, quality, service and price. So, when I go to any other sushi restaurant, I compare it to this standard. Sushi Yuki was good but I think they are still getting their feet underneath them as a new restaurant. I'm looking forward to going back in a few months or so as I think it'll be better than what I had on this visit. The pros: I loved the space and ambiance. Really well done for a new restaurant. I was driving this night and so I didn't have a drink but the drink menu looks fantastic and I can't wait to try it. Service was good and attentive. As far as the food goes, I was a bit underwhelmed. Me, my fiancee and my daughter (age 9) ordered four rolls while my son and mother-in-law ordered shrimp teriyaki and chicken teriyaki respectively. The sushi order was in the picture attached to my review. My first thought when it came to the table is that we were missing one of the four rolls but we were assured there were three on the plate. In terms of quality, I think the biggest issue was that the flavors were very similar across all rolls despite the descriptions being very different. Four rolls was not enough for two adults and a child and so we ordered a fifth roll (crazy winter) and it, too, was underwhelming. I tried both teriyakis and the flavor was pretty one note and the veggies seemed like maybe they weren't fresh. Both of the people that ordered the teriyakis liked them though. Also, my daughter liked the sushi and so I think this is a good place to come with kids and the definitely felt welcome.

    Sushi Rolls for Take Out

Highlights 1) Easy Take Out 2) Friendly Service 3) Great Food So happy Sushi Yuki is finally open and in the neighborhood! I placed a pick up order over the phone on a Sunday night and found it to be super fast and easy. I ordered 4 sushi rolls and was told my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived about 20 minutes later and everything was packaged and ready to go. Service was super friendly both on the phone and when I picked up. A note on parking - I don't believe there is a parking lot. Parking on KK can be hard but there are tons of side streets with free parking if you are ok walking a block or two. My rolls were awesome! Everything was really fresh and flavorful. 10/10 will be back!

Definitely try the Green sky roll and the Yuki Nigiri

My cousin tried the Berry-cation from the summer menu and it was perfect for her - very fresh and a little sweeter. Cousin-in-law got the Thai Goddess, with tomato, and it was very interesting - not quite fruity and not overly vegetal - very cool. Our food was amazing. Our server, Adam, was quick and attentive. He was funny, suggested items for us to try, and was very tentative of our friend's food allergy. We started the night with a few drinks; #39 non-alcoholic Paloma, #129 non-alcoholic sbagiato, and #33 Sherry Pear-Y. All of which were absolutely amazing! Then we ordered the Chili Crisp Deviled Eggs (comes with two pieces), Crispy Thai-Style Oyster Mushrooms, Cappelletti, Slow-braised Bison Cheek, Cha Ca La Vong (Catfish), and the Wood-fired Bavette Steak. Where do I begin? First off, everything was fantastic! Delicious, creative, and memorable. Some dishes even had us ordering seconds! First the Chili Crisp Deviled Eggs: so creamy! We ended up ordering another plate of them (four orders) because one wasn't enough for the four of us. The Crispy Thai-Style Oyster Mushroom: insanely seasoned! It was crispy and the kick of the Thai chili peppers, made it our tables favorite (we ordered another plate of this)! The bits of crunch rice mixed in was also a pleasant surprise. The bits of green beans and cucumber was a nice way to cool the kick of the spices. The Slow-braised Bison Cheek: It was very interesting. Very soft and when paired with the polenta cake, mozzarella, and carrot, it tasted amazing. Cha Ca La Vong (Catfish): Also very interesting. It tastes very similar to a Vietnamese catfish soup! The pineapple fish sauce paired amazing with the glass noodles. The only complaint I have about this dish, was that the glass noodles weren't fully cooked, so they were a bit hard. The Wood-fired Bavette Steak: My god, this was amazing! It was perfectly cooked, the dark chocolate bordelaise paired with the mushrooms and steak was incredible. Like I said, everything was amazing! Our table was blown away with the creativity and quality of the food. The service was amazing, everyone was very sweet and helpful. The atmosphere was lovely and quirky. Yes, I know these are Karaage but they are very similar. I usually get the boneless wings just because I am weird and do not like having sticky fingers when I am eating, so these I can eat with a fork. The crispiness is always spot-on and I love that they give you just enough sauce to give everything a good coat and flavor but not too much that the chicken is drowning. I also really love the rice cakes that they add into the tenders and wings, it's like a nice little chewy treat to go with everything. Their fries are a LOT of fries! I completely agree that this isn't authentic chinese food, but approachable fusion that tries to keep it truthful to the flavors and presentation. The highlight of the meal was the peking duck, which they only have about 2 orders of a night. We snagged it immediately when we sat down and it can easily feed 4 people with the sides. The duck was juicy and cut into thick pieces, so it was more of a steak rather than a bao style that I am used to. Nevertheless, it was delicious and even warmed up well the next day. The green onion wraps were...strange in my opinion. They fell apart easily and didn't have the best flavor that complemented the duck. Overall, I would come back for the duck itself, but everything else was average or extra salty. Service was great and the staff are very attentive. Happy eating!

The vibe: It was packed at 7:15 PM on a Sunday, and they held firmly to our reservation time--which is understandable given the crowd. We took a nice stroll while waiting, so no harm done. Once seated, the service was excellent--attentive, prompt, and professional. The food: This is clearly high-end Americanized Chinese food, not authentic regional cuisine. If you go in expecting that, you'll have a better experience. The menu reads like a "greatest hits" collection--familiar dishes done with nicer ingredients and presentation. What worked well: Smashed Cucumber - A strong start. The cilantro and bean sprouts were exceptionally fresh, and the peanut finish added nice depth, though the sauce leaned a bit salty for my taste. Service and atmosphere - polished and efficient. What fell short for me: Wonton Soup - The wrappers were thicker than I prefer; I like a more delicate, translucent skin. The leek-based broth was pleasant, though. Salt & Pepper Cod - The seasoning was good, but the cod pieces were too thick, so the center remained bland. Halving the thickness would improve the texture. Mongolian Beef - Tender meat, but I wanted thicker cuts and larger onion pieces for more bite. It leaned a bit soggy for my preference. Rice Cake with Pork Belly - Pork belly was well-executed, but too many rice cakes overwhelmed the dish. The flavor leaned Korean (almost kimchi-like), which felt like a departure from the rest of the menu. Beef Chow Fun - Felt repetitive, using the same thin-sliced beef and bean sprouts as other dishes. I'd prefer charred broad rice noodlesthat are thin. These rice sticks were wide and thick,so like the cod, the center of the rice sticks were bland. I also preferred more eggs in this dish for variety. The overall pattern: Many dishes share similar ingredients and sauce profiles, which makes sense for a busy kitchen but does reduce variety across the meal. Bottom line: If you're looking for authentic, nuanced Chinese cooking, this probably isn't your spot. But if you want a polished, upscale version of familiar Chinese-American favorites in a great location, with reliable service, Dan Dan delivers that well. I personally wouldn't return, but I can see why it's popular--especially for the crowd that wants comfort food in a nicer setting.

We started with the pink Guava Paloma and the Schilling Local Legends for our drinks. The Pink Guava Paloma tasting amazing and was strong. You were really able to taste the tequila but it wasn't un-drinkable. The Guava was a great blend with the drink and my friend wished he had gotten the same drink because of how good it tasted. The menu was divided up into three different sections; Field, Sea, and Pasture. They also had specials, as well. We tried to get a few items from each section to try different dishes. In the Field section, we tried the Truffle Potato Skins (WI). The potatoes skins were PILED onto the plate. They were more soft than crunchy but tasted amazing. I wasn't really able to taste the truffle but it was still good. In the Sea section, we tried the Sambal Goreng Udang (Indonesia). An Indonesian dish with white shrimp, sambal chili paste, mash potatoes, and coconut milk. Honestly, this was my favorite dish. It was creamy and the mashed potatoes paired so well with the sauce and the shrimp. It had a hint of spice, which elevated the experience for me personally, as I love spicy food. In the Pasture section, we tried the Beef Empanadas (Columbia) and Vietnamese Pork Belly Crepes (Vietnam). The Beef Empanadas came with four pieces and some green sauce. The outside was crunchy and not over fried, the inside was perfectly filled and moist. Would highly recommend it as it was amazing. The Vietnamese Pork Belly Crepes were a little disappointing. I was expecting them to come out like the traditional Vietnamese crepes, crispy outside with the pork belly and other fillings on the inside. Instead it was like an actual crepe mix. It was soft and honestly okay. It wasn't our favorite. As for the specials they were offering, we tried the Pork Tenderloin. The Pork Tenderloin was pretty good, not super dry. It was served on top of potatoes and tasted amazing. La Merenda has a very cozy atmosphere. Low lights and overall just a chill and quaint spot. I will definitely come back for more of the Sambal Goreng Udang and to try out some of their other plates!

We got the truffle Potato Skins it was more like chips but softer than chips with a truffle oil and parm. This didn't have a super truffle flavor in my opinion but still good. The ceviche which was my favorite had ahi tuna, coconut milk, red bell peppers, and diced pineapple I love the sweet aspect of this. We also got the empanadas and mushroom tostadas both were great. The Gnocchi d'Autunno we got was like a nice hug it was such a warm dish in the way you want a warm comfort meal on a cold day. The butter chicken and Argentina style beef we also tried I liked the butter chicken more just because I wish the beef had more chimichurri. I definitely will take friends in the future. There is a dish for everyone here.
