I love this place!! Always very good and polite servers, quick food and very delicious. The ambiance is very calm and chill. Very polite owners. When you order takeout they draw outside of the boxes and provide napkins, sauces, and cutlery. Amazing place. Definitely worth the 5 stars. read more

The service was excellent. The food was enjoyable. The plating had true elegance in its simple, yet beautiful, presentation. We started at a booth and decided we'd rather sit at the sushi bar and both observe and interact with the sushi chef. They had no problems with us moving. It was quite enjoyable. We will return to Sushi Ya. read more

Sushi Ya - Sushi and Sashimi Set with California roll. - Sushi Bars Near Me - Kennewick, Washington

Best sushi in tri cities. Stop by and find out for yourself. The owner and staff are awesome.

Their sushi is really good and customer service as well. Nice little restaurant does get busy though. I like to order ahead.

I love Suchi Ya. Every time we come we are greeted with smiles. Personally, I love their bowl options. I tried all 3 bowl options, the Hwe de Poe, its like a salad with salmon and you choose how much you want to put as spice. The second is the Poke Bowl (my personal favorite) with Salmon. Is sweet, a little spicy, nice combination of cucumber and feels fresh. Lastly is the Cheroshi, with all types of fish (chefs choice) with a lot of rice. The prices look intimidating but the amount of food you get is so fulfilling. One bowl is enough to have you stuffed the whole day! I come here often, so I have a lot of food to review. Personally the crunchy California Roll is my favorite roll from them. I wish I could remember all of the rolls names but I have tried a variety from them all of their presentation is unique and absolutely beautiful. The chicken teriyaki is my dads favorite dish because of the rich flavor of the chicken. The salmon teriyaki is also really good and you get a bowl of the teriyaki sauce for you to pour to your liking. Honestly, this place is so great to get out of your comfort zone and enjoy a peaceful and delicious time, I recommend it to everyone !! read more

Got takeout for dinner from this place and it was relatively fast! Fast service and the space inside had plenty of seating. I got the udon and a scallop hand roll. Both of which were good! The scallop hand roll is best eaten fresh to avoid the nori from getting too soggy. I thought the scallops were pretty fresh so this was very enjoyable for me. As for the udon, this was great comfort food. It was a super cold day so having a hot brothy meal was perfect. The soup was so delicious! Will keep this place as a go to whenever I'm back in town. read more

Took my son for a sushi date at opening so it was vacant. The server was nice enough even though she forgot our extra ginger. The fish on the other hand was not so good. We ordered the sashimi platter and a few rolls as we both are raw fish lovers. Unfortunately as soon as we put the fish up to our mouth you could smell that it was not fresh or they did not store it properly. The pieces were thin and small on both the rainbow roll and sashimi platter. Sorry but I do not recommend this place if you like fresh raw fish. read more

The service and hospitality were lacking today. Felt like we were imposing on them and I wished I had just gone home for dinner. I would give a one star for today except this was not the typical experience. We have been several times and it has been great service. The food was good as usual, but not worth enduring the rest. read more

I absolutely love their food. I love their fried ice cream and also I love their fried sushi rolls.

10+ years ago this was our special treat restaurant, nowadays it's our default for sushi and my husband has decided when I tell him to decide where to go for a dinner out it's sushi. They've consistently improved the interior and added new menu items. Still lovely inside. The only down is we tried to go at 7:30 on a night they close at 9 and were told they weren't taking more customers. Disappointing, but I won't take a point off for it. Still got my sushi fix a week later, lol. read more

Love a conveyer belt system and the variety is excellent too. Colored plates tell you the cost, but well worth the price.

went into this place for a pickup order and they were very rude because I didn't want to take a seat and the guy behind the counter was rude talking in Spanish about me to another worker thinking I didn't understand him because I explained I have back problems and would rather stand....so being a customer coming here not doing it again not good people read more

Food was ok. Service was good. Filled up quickly upon opening on a Saturday. Sushi roll was not the best and chicken teriyaki was not hot

I had three rolls, beef yakiudon noodles and I was definitely a happy person. Food was fresh, restaurant was clean and the service was quick. I don't like in the area but will definitely come back when I'm in town again. read more

No matter when, no matter how often... THIS PLACE IS OVER THE TOP AMAZING. The food is truly gourmet, the Sushi rolls are elegant and just right (yes, even for Goldilocks) The prices are very reasonable and I love the service and adorable waitress every single time So far have barely kept myself from licking the plate.... but can't promise it will remain that way! Please try them, if you haven't already. No matter if it's the lunch or dinner menu! It's fabulous at any time! read more

I have a mixed review to share. The staff were professional and extremely pleasant to deal with. The restaurant was clean, and the ambience good. But for what I ordered (about $70 of take out), I was immensely disappointed with the food quality. The sushi and sashimi entrees were not fresh. They smelled funky right out of the box. The texture was slimy on fish that isn't supposed to be slimy, and so I threw those out. I also ordered the nabeyaki udon. It was sweeter than hot maple syrup, pretty much. I have no idea how much granulated sugar was added to the soy sauce in that broth, but it had the amber color of molasses and the worst taste. That was also tossed. Not sure if I just ordered the wrong things, but I ended up going to Aki Sushi nearby that week instead. read more

Husband and I went to try for the first time this evening and this place was busy! The wait for our waitress to get to our table was a bit long, but she was very friendly and helpful. Once we ordered our food was quick to arrive and really good. We ordered the monkey brain appetizer and would absolutely get it again. I got the deep-fried Vegas roll while my husband ordered popcorn scallop roll. We both really enjoyed the rolls. The service was great, and the price was very reasonable. We will most definitely return. read more

Food and service were excellent. It lunch time. A little bit crowded, but still good.

I'm not from the area but I thought i would try it out side it was close to my hotel. I received my order around 5:15 and it is now 8:54 and I have not been able to stop throwing up. I ordered the vegas roll and dynamite roll. I had high hopes. Respectfully I do not recommend this place. read more

I'll start with the good. We got chicken teriyaki, sesame balls and gyoza. All tasted good. That's where the good ends. We ordered dinner and paid $33. The portions were so small! We ordered enough food this should've been enough for the two of us. Not even close! The chicken wasn't even half full. I indicated there were 2 of us eating and asked for enough utensils, and received enough for 1. To say I'm totally not satisfied is an understatement. They'd get a 1 if it didn't taste good. Definitely won't ever order again. read more

I've never been disappointed by this place, and that says a lot considering I've been coming here for years. The food, ambiance, and prices are all top notch, especially in comparison to certain other Japanese places that charge an arm and a leg for variety. You can get two basic but still delicious rolls for less than $20. When I went in a month ago they had a "two for $15" special that was almost too good to be true. Not sure if they're running that promo anymore. I ordered the lunch bento (photo below from an earlier date!), which has virtually the same items as Sushi Mori, their competitor close by, but they charge $8.50 instead of $10.50 for it. Yum! The chicken and rice was super delectable as was the 4 pieces of spicy tuna roll. The salad didn't have much dressing, but was covered in these crazy fried onion pieces I couldn't get enough of. The service always seems very busy, as it appears they don't hire a lot of girls to run the floor (I only saw one). It is very reminiscent of an actual Japanese restaurant because the sushi chefs look like professionals and barely look up from their careful deliberation. read more

We had an excellent dinner. We ordered 2 rolls and shrimp tempura. Our shrimp tempura was great but the chef came and told us he was bringing us a new one because the batter wasn't up to their standards. We had new shrimp tempura quickly and to finish the chef sent us complimentary green tea ice cream just to make sure we were completely happy. Fantastic service! read more

Easily the best sushi place in Tri-Cities. I come from Alaska where the fish is always fresh, so we're quite spoiled when it comes to sushi up there. Sushi Ya provides high-quality dishes at a decent price, all with a great atmosphere and lovely staff. I've yet to have anything that disappoints. Below I have some recommendations, though my taste is more on the spicy side. Regardless, any roll you take a chance on will be delightful, I guarantee! Food was great, everyone working there seemed to be very attentive to us. The best sushi in the tri cities ! Will forever be my go-to. Great service, clean restaurant, and fresh fish.

I haven't tried all the sushi restaurants in Tri-Cities but I've been to enough sushi restaurants around the US to know quality fish. And this place kicks ass! I was seriously blown away by the freshness and flavor of the saba (mackerel) on top of their seasoned rice. The salmon was tender, buttery and sweet like good salmon should be. The creamy scallops were just as delectable with little bits of roe in it. Their rolls were pretty big and tasty. No, it's not super spicy even though it may say spicy but the reality is if you make the food too spicy and a customer complains, it gets sent back to the kitchen and the restaurant wastes the food. So I understand it's quite difficult to please everyone. Personally, we loved the Samurai roll and will pass on the Kamakazi roll next time. Sushi or sashimi is a must. As for service, I thought our waitress was fine. Nothing great but she was attentive enough where I didn't even have to wave anyone down. Oh, and do expect a little bit of a wait on the weekends. read more
