Was in the area randomly and stopped by for lunch. Was not expecting to find such a cute Sushi restaurant in Pasco. We where sat quickly in one of the booths that has a curtain. Which gives a nice sense of privacy. The staff was friendly and on top of all our needs. I got the Spicy Crab roll and Volcano roll. I would have liked a little more spice in the Spicy Crab roll. We went there for some takeaway lunches. The hostess was very nice and helped us with our order and even got us some ice water to drink while we waited. When I try a Japanese restaurant that is new to me, I tend toward their bento dishes. Those dishes combine their sushi and their kitchen items in one dish. So, I ordered a salmon bento that came with rice, two gyoza, some veggies, miso soup and four California roll sushi pieces along with a nice piece of teriyaki salmon. My lovely wife ordered their chicken soba dish while my oldest daughter had three sushi rolls: salmon avocado, California roll and spicy tuna. Everything was well packaged and there was a selection of sauces depending on what you ordered. For instance, there are sauces designed for sushi rolls while others are more for kitchen dishes or even salads. Again, i chose the bento to sample both sushi bar and kitchen items. My California roll was OK, a bit small and the rice wasn't quite as tasty as I like. As I've said, sushi is all about the rice! It was good sushi rice, so there's that. The salmon was well cooked and served on a bed of cooked onion with assorted cooked veggies. Well, mostly cooked veggies since some still had a distinct crunch to them. The rice was good as were the gyoza which were soaked in the gyoza sauce. The miso soup was very good with nice pieces of seaweed. My wife loved the soba noodles! My daughter didn't get to eat the sushi right away due to business but I know she loves the place. It's a nice Japanese restaurant and I especially like the private booths they have on one side. Our family just returned from a grueling trip through Pasco airport. We stopped in at this place as Grandmother was a Japanese food. We were impressed with the service and the quality of food. Grandmother considers herself as a connoisseur of all things Japanese and she was impressed ! She found the food to be authentic. She enjoyed the full course beginning with the miso soup. The servings were large, It was served promptly despite the restaurant being busy. This locally family run restaurant delivers quality Japanese cuisine with excellent presentation of food and a casual, clean and tastefully decorated environment. I lived in Japan and had japanese food around the world. Trying to find a really good Japanese restaurant the Tri-Cities area is difficult. I've tried other Japanese places here and they're not as good in preparation and quality. Although Nikko is not the best Japanese restaurant I've ever been but it's probably one of the best here in a Tricities that you should try, the servers are very nice and the presentation and fish quality is good. Got some great takeout from Nikko over the weekend. They have an extensive menu and good food! We ordered a California roll, salmon avocado roll and a tuna roll. We also ordered chicken fried rice. They definitely don't skimp on the fish in the rolls, and the fried rice portion was huge. Definitely all great for the price. The fish was fresh, and the rice was good. Little gem of a sushi spot here. Recently had take out, we ordered and waited for it. It's got a nice atmosphere, decent amount of space and seating. They have some cool screens that cover up some of the booths. Would be really cool for a nice, casual date. Creative and attractive looking sushi rolls! Ordering was a bit challenging due to language issues, and I say this with a kind heart, being an immigrant myself I know all about stuff getting lost in translation, however.... if I was a waitress I would learn the names of the food I was taking orders for. Their pink sake was actually really good, so good I ordered it four times (no I didn't drink that much I just kept ordering but it didn't get to the table). Favorite roles of the night was the Vegas and the Volcano role. Yes I know... deep fried, unhealthy and far from "real" sushi, but so good!! Right?! In town on business and looked for something that was open on a Sunday and found this place. I placed a order through GrubHub for a pickup to be scheduled two hours later. The order consisted of 15 piece Nikko Sashimi, 1 shrimp tempura appetizer, 1 beef udon stir fried and a fried banana dessert. During order I requested extra wasabi and extra soy sauce as I'm traveling and in a hotel and didn't receive either in the bag and actually seemed quite opposite as pictured attached. The sashimi was not the greatest. The salmon was good and perfectly cut and good cold temps, however the tuna was not fresh and after first bite was real mushy, not like tuna should be. The cut was rough and the fish was very wet. The tempura overall was good and cooked the best, but not so much on the banana dessert. Completely undercooked and soggy. I couldn't even eat it unfortunately. I ordered the beef udon for lunch next day and decided to try it since dinner was not the best and it actually was decent and should be a ok lunch for next day. Overall by order request and following order and presentation and freshness of food the overall rating is a three in my opinion. The prices should drop about 10-15% for the overall quality you receive here. Hopefully this is just the case of COVID takeouts during these trying times. read more

So this is a review on 10/17/21 This place is a mess- only 1 waitress on staff and 3 other employees that would come around to ask if we needed more water. Our wait time was over a hour and our food was mediocre at best. The bill teller was confused And seemed like she lacked in training. This establishment needs to have a system that recognizes new customers coming in and taking care of customers that are already seated. Because a business can't thrive on having customers on a wait time of 45+ wait time Get your shot together - we wont Go back again. read more

We were a large group of 15 out to celebrate my mom's birthday with all the grandchildren and everything. So you can imagine with ages from 3 to 77 the items on our ticket were varied with some sushi, some tempura, some teriyaki, shrimp, rice and even Raman. I was impressed with how well they got our food out to us hot, some even coming while we still ate our soups and salads. The servers were sweet and helped us get a photo as well as place the right orders, the decor helped keep noise down and set a nice backdrop to our evening, and the food was great. I'm pretty sure we all over ate - even my 5 year old who stole my coconut shrimp to go with his chicken skewer. Next time we will plan better so we can try the desserts. Nikko doesn't look like much from the outside, but as soon as I entered the restaurant I was pleasantly surprised! The staff creates a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, the interior is nicely decorated and features a mix of regular tables and more private booths, and they have a large selection on their menu. They offer classic rolls for the purists along with some unique, "spicy mayo tempura covered" type ones. I came with a friend to treat ourselves and we got the Nikko sushi and sashimi for two, which comes on a giant boat with a fish shaped ice sculpture??? Totally unnecessary but I won't lie it was beautiful and very extra. Anyway, considering that I am a) from Seattle and b) Asian, I eat a lot of fish and am a stickler for freshness. The fish here was quite nice, they have a good variety, and it was definitely fresh and tasty. And for a large sushi/sashimi meal for two, the price was very reasonable. Before it, I had my one or two favorite sushi places and I've tried just about all of them locally that's until I came across Nikko. The size of the sushi & sashimi are huge, and the quality is exceptional. They've got a great selection of rolls and cooked items on the menu with the Philly Hand roll being one of my favorites.
