We've been ordering from this place for the last few months and we like to make a joke that it's not Sushi lose, it's Sushi Win! The sushi and selection is very good, the best I've had in the Evergreen area. However, the last few times we've ordered they have asked us to pay in cash or check when we went to pick up. We have accommodated this request even though it is inconvenient, but when we were asked to please leave the name on the check blank (when we don't have cash) we started to question this request. We were told it was so they could give the check directly to their workers. This makes us feel like we are being implicated in some sketchy business practices, and/or that the host is just pocketing the money himself. It's one thing to flat out say that this is a cash only place. We probably wouldn't go there as frequently because it would be a bit inconvenient, but we wouldn't raise our eyebrows. I don't know why they aren't handling their payroll like a normal business or if this was just an excuse to not have to report this as income, but it doesn't make us want to support a business that isn't playing fair. read more

We had miso soup (quite good), spring rolls (no flavor whatsoever--all lettuce), a spicy roll with yellow fin (just adequate) and on the recommendation of a fellow reviewer, the crunchy volcano roll (very good). I'm glad there's a place to go in Evergreen for sushi besides The Wildflower, but it just can't compare to places in Denver like Sushi Den, Sushi Sasa, Namiko's or even Go Fish. read more

Not very good. Sushi Den is probably the best Sushi place I've eaten in Denver and this is a long way from that. Tempura batter isn't the worst I've had in Colorado but it was a long way from good. Finally Evergreen has an amazing sushi restaurant! My Husband and I have been here multiple times and each time we are impressed. The fish is always fresh and the sushi combinations are yummy. I used to live in Denver and eat at all different sushi places, so I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable on sushi. I don't know what these people are talking about when they say it has no flavor or isn't good quality. I think it is absolutely delicious and I would eat it everyday if I could. Love this place!!! I love sushi and when I learned evergreen had one coming I was so excited. The fish is very good and high quality with no fishy after taste which I really enjoy. They offer many items besides sushi as well which provides a good variety. A small family runs the restaurant and I can tell they get a little overwhelmed sometimes as they are slightly short handed, but they handle it well and are very kind to everyone! We've enjoyed this local sushi restaurant many times in the past. We were disappointed tonight to find a sign on the door stating they are only accepting cash or check. They've always suggested cash or check in the past, but they've been willing to take credit cards. Yes, there's a processing fee for the business when accepting credit cards; however, it's a proven fact that customers typically spend more when using a credit card versus cash, which more than offsets that processing fee. You can tell the sushi chef is very experienced with his artfully crafted and presented sushi. Delicious rolls with standard pricing. We had only two recommendations: First, please get on google maps! We couldn't find you in our search (11/2013). I really wanted to like this place. On the surface, it's clean, the waitstaff is friendly and I was seated right away. When they placed the sushi in front of me, I was shocked that the portions were giant. And I mean giant. It was downhill from there. The consistency of the salmon, yellowtail and tuna was literally the worst I have ever had. It was a combination of sinewy and grainy and a bit soggy if that even makes sense. There were a few times that I had to swallow whole what was in mouth while on the verge of wrenching. I LOVE sushi. Anyone who knows me, knows that I think it is criminal to leave sushi on the plate.
