They made us feel right at home, the hospitality and service was amazing. You can't go wrong with any roll here, they have a good selection of soju as well. 10/10, will always come back.

sushi toni is right on Bush St, in the city, and you'll easily find it with its unique outside logo. i ordered some spicy tuna & tempura shrimp sushi service and ambiance are very chill inside, and it opens at 5PM here. straight to business, so i'll be back for more sushi options thx, toni

Place was homey and quiet. No wait at all. All of the sushi rolls my family and I ordered were super tasty. Fish was all fresh. I highly recommend the Rainbow roll! We also got the sushi boat which we thought was pretty reasonably priced. Waitress was kind enough to give us a complimentary dessert. I usually go to the Sunset or Richmond for Asian food but this is definitely one of the hidden gems in Downtown.

Chirashi

Chirashi was delicious. Tasty fresh fish, and pretty presentation. Friendly service. I'm glad I went there :)

I ordered the shumai (crab meat and shrimp), got it fried cuz I was curious as to what that would be like, and they ended up looking like tater tots, with hushpuppy consistency, lol... tasted fine but the 6 pieces were very small like they shrunk when fried. Also got the lion king roll which comes with mozzarella cheese, giving it an interesting taste. I don't think the sushi and cheese combo is the best, but I like melted cheese on almost anything, so I thought it was decent... again, portion size was small. The restaurant was cozy and simple, staff was friendly, and my takeout order was ready within the 30-minute quoted wait time online. 4 stars for overall value and experience.

Large Miso, Swamp Roll, Cilantro Roll, Ginza Roll, DeepFried Spicy Tuna Roll

This might be the best sushi I've ever had, considering everything. It's midnight and I get to eat sushi that's unique, all the flavors I enjoy, and literally so delicious. This is going on the list. All of the rolls I got (listed in the pic) were so delicious 10/10. I can never find sushi spots that have flavor combinations I really like and they nailed it. I'm obsessed.

Small, cozy sushi spot. Extremely attentive service with delicious, fresh rolls. Sushi rolls were also prepared quickly but it was also quiet in the restaurant when we were there. Our favorite was the cilantro roll and we had to order it again after trying it. Who knew cilantro could work so well in a roll. Loved the lime topping. Was excited for the bake volcano roll, but it was a little too saucy for our taste. Would come back again for the cilantro roll for sure.

Not the best sushi I have had, but definitely great value for money. I really love that they are open late! Plus it's tough to find decent veg sushi options. And I only ordered from them so don't know about the ambience or service.

What a gem to find around the corner of our hotel. We were craving sushi and my husband found this gem via yelp reviews. We were the only ones when we walked in and it looks slightly hole in the wall but we are so glad we have it a try. We actually ended up coming here twice during our long weekend trip to SF and highly recommend for the quality of cuts, fast service and no frills menu. The first time we went for the sashimi boat and hand rolls of salmon and avocado and spicy tuna. We were blown away by the quality of the sashimi. Hands down the best salmon we've had... we liked it so much we put in another order of the salmon sashimi. The rest of the sashimi on the boat were fantastic.. the tuna was nice, the yellowtail was delicious, the kanpachi. Really great cuts. The boat came with miso soup and a salad with ginger dressing. The hand rolls were nice but would highly recommend the sashimi. We came back for dinner in our last day before our flight and went with sashimi order of salmon, scallops and tuna and the quality was still spot on and would rank them in that order. Both times, had great service. Highly recommend checking this place out and not judging a book by its cover.

Pissed about the false advertising for prices. I called to place an order for to go and I was using the menu from their website, which you can see in the photos I posted. What's outrageous is that they lied about the prices and upcharged the hell out of the most mediocre and average sushi (which they only give 6-7 pieces rather than 8)! $20 for the most BASIC unagi roll? That's just a scam! Compare the prices from the menu to what I was charged on my receipt. This is just awful. Wouldn't recommend ever going to this trashy place. Even the inside looks horrible and sketchy too.

first time here and i looked around for a specials board! I guess i wasnt looking hard enough! It was in the back! I normally go tekka roll or hamachi roll with substitutions, but had to try two unique rolls that caught my eye! the double hamachi roll had it inside and the top and family affair roll that had regular tuna and white tuna which were both good! I guess i was ao hungry, I finished my rolls quick The price point was good and will definitely return to try other rolls thar caught my eye

So good!! Kind of a hole in the wall vibe but the freshest fish! Delicious and fun rolls (I love the cilantro roll!) and prices are decent. It's sooooo good! You can't go wrong. If you are in the neighborhood, give them a try!!!

Small place with very good sushi. Wife enjoyed the sashimi and I had the tempura which was very good as well. Staff was friendly and gave us a complimentary desert which my daughter really loves.

Takoyaki, lion king roll, dragon roll, Romeo & Juliet roll (best item).

The first time I came here, I got the strawberry matcha latte with my friends. We ordered it via delivery on DoorDash, and I'm not sure if it's just the whole delivery part, but I could not taste any part of the strawberry! It just tasted like regular cream on top. Typically I'm more of a coffee person than matcha, so I'm not a great judge in whether this was good matcha or not. But I guess it did taste ok in my opinion. The funny thing is, my coworker also said the same thing when she ordered the strawberry matcha latte a separate time! Disappointing. A separate time, we also ordered from them via delivery. This time I was eager to try their food items instead, since they have a pretty interesting selection, like those cake sandwiches and various Japanese items. I got the spam masubi, which I thought would be a solid choice. It did arrive warm, but the slice of spam that was in the masubi was so thin! It was the thinnest piece of spam I had ever gotten, and I've gotten spam masubis at a variety of places including ABC stores and other places in Hawaii, and even various stores in the States. The rice was okay, some brown rice thing with seasoning, that was decent but not my preferred white rice. Overall my two times here have been disappointing. I will really never line up for this place in person, nor will I understand why people do.

The place fills up around 6pm so arriving ahead of that will save you a wait. They don't take reservations, so first come first served. The ordering experience is really smooth. Everything is done through an iPad at your table and the food comes out to you. They won't let you place a new order until your previous one has been delivered, which honestly is a smart system and helps with pacing so you don't over order right out of the gate. What sets this place apart from other AYCE spots is the variety. It's not just sushi. You can also order appetizers, salmon, teriyaki chicken and more, so there's something for people who want to mix it up beyond rolls. Delicious, easy, affordable and in the neighborhood. Highly recommend!

We opted for the AYCE menu, which came out to around $50 per person. - Sashimi -- pieces were on the smaller side and a little watery - Sashimi Salad -- fresh spring greens topped with larger sashimi cuts; a refreshing starter - Gyoza -- larger than typical gyoza, almost like mandu; crispy exterior with juicy filling - Poke Chip -- avocado could've been fresher, but still a nice crisp and creamy combo - Lion King Roll -- my favorite item of the night; seared salmon, avocado, and imitation crab. Wish it had a bit more torching and cheese, but still delicious - Rainbow Roll -- smaller-sized roll topped with salmon, tuna, shrimp, and avocado - Dragon Roll -- classic unagi and avocado combo; can't go wrong here - Double Salmon Roll -- salmon both inside and on top with a light lemon garnish - Heaven Roll -- tuna-heavy roll inside and out; great for tuna lovers - Bay Bridge Roll -- another standout; tuna and avocado topped with roe and white sauce - Miso Soup -- simple and comforting - Salmon Avocado Roll -- classic fresh combo with cucumber added for crunch - Nigiri (seared salmon, unagi, baby scallop, salmon avocado) -- probably the best quality items overall; loved the fatty scallop and seared salmon - Mixed Greens Salad -- underrated side with a sesame-ranch style dressing - Yammy Yammy Roll -- spicy tuna and seared tuna topped with spicy mayo and unagi sauce - Hamachi Kama -- thinner cut than expected but still buttery and tender There was no wait on a Friday night and our party was seated immediately. The restaurant has tables in both the front dining area and a quieter back section that feels more private. You order through a tablet attached to the table, which also tracks your remaining AYCE time. Service was extremely efficient and dishes came out surprisingly fast. Some items stood out more than others, but overall we definitely got our money's worth. For around $50 including tax and tip, it's a pretty reasonable AYCE sushi option in SF.

What we ordered: + San Ten Mori (assorted sashimi) [4/5]: The highlight of our meal was the yuzu wasabi that came with the salmon + amberjack in this set. It was sooo delicious and spicy. The fish were plated beautifully, and the quality was pretty good. + Shungiku Kama Sarada (chrysanthemum greens & duck breast) [6/5 - would recommend]: WOW. I was so pleasantly surprised by how fresh, crunchy, and acidic this salad was. The greens are amazing. On top of that, the duck breast was so tender and delicious-- I just wish the dish came with a few more slices. + Chicken Oyster [4/5]: I really loved how juicy this was. I normally don't like chicken because of how dry it is, but this was a great skewer. I wish the skin was a little less burnt. The chicken was also so thick that while the outside was juicy, the inside was a little drier. + King Trumpet [4/5]: Wow! These looked amazing when they arrived. I thought the flavor was great but the texture was a bit rubbery. + Kama Tama Udon (carbonara) [4.5/5]: Delicious! I couldn't stop eating this udon slathered in amazing thick sauce. + Chiizu Tori Katsu [4/5]: This was sooo good. I wish the cheese ratio was 3x as much, but the flavor and tenderness of the katsu is delicious. Huge props to Rintaro; my Resy reservation was initially cancelled due to an accident in booking, but the staff was so friendly and went above & beyond to help me get my reservation reinstated at a similar time.

The beautifully presented board comes with katsu in your choice of salmon, tuna, crab, or roe, paired with the creamiest delicious tamago I've ever had, carrot & purple slaw, miso soup and potato salad topped with a delicately carved carrot in the shape of the letter "B". And to finish, chocolate mochi rounds out the meal. The only thing I'm upset about is I forgot to take a photo of how nice the brunch set looks before I ate it. I was too excited! But I'm sure other Yelpers will pick up my slack. In addition to the brunch set, I tried the matcha latte made with oat milk. I'm not a big fan of milky drinks but thought I'd give it a try anyway. We shared the yaki onigiri, chicken karaage, original mushroom potstickers, katsu curry rice, and the mentaiko spaghetti. Our favorite was definitely the mentaiko spaghetti - it was the highlight of the meal. Flavorful, hearty, and unique. The chicken karaage was also pretty good and came with a delicious spicy mayo, though the chicken wasn't as warm as I'd hoped. Yaki onigiri was good as well, the soy sauce flavored rice had good flavor but I personally would've preferred a filling inside. Original mushroom potstickers and katsu curry rice were both skips from me. The potstickers didn't have that much flavor to me, and they were really flimsy and fell apart upon picking up. I had higher expectations for the katsu curry rice as well but maybe it was an off day, as the chicken was dry and stringy and the curry didn't have the classic rich/deep flavor I was expecting. Overall glad I got to try Bon, Nene once! Definitely worth trying the mentaiko spaghetti here.
