The prices are GREAT. If this were a happy hour place (aka they served liquor) I would recommend this place again and again. If you're looking for a quick, affordable food option, come here. Set your standards appropriately and you'll have a great time.

The peach tea was really good it tasted fresh and nothing overly sweet,i got the gyoza platter and it was genuinely freshly and well prepared. The gyoza was super juicy with crispy edges, the fried rice was pretty flavorful and good coming from someone who doesnt like rice it was all gone after i devoured it,& lastly the sushi was pretty good and done right in front of you. Id totally get in and get the Sasu roll next.

Outstanding! Food was delicious! We ordered the Gyozas, spring rolls, fried rice, millennium and torched salmon roll. We would skip on the spring rolls, but everything else better than expected. What made everything even better is the freshness in the ingredients and how you could literally tell they just prepared all the dishes made to order. The inside is quiet and clean with nice service. When in the area definitely plan to return!

Food and service was great!!! Definitely a place to come back. Everything was fresh, from the food to peach tea and lemonade.

Happened to find this place outside IAH airport. Stopped by to order takeout before I took flight back to PHL. I had the pleasure of watching the lady chef preparing the rolls in details. It is like watching a cooking show. The sushi tasted fresh and delicious. The only minor issue was the beans inside edamame pods were kind of small. Will definitely stop by here again when I am in town.

Great place to grab some sushi! The owner and his family are wonderful people. Give them a try!

Not a lot of options to eat at 10pm (we were stranded from a missed flight) so I was really excited this place was still open. Tried various rolls- all delicious and better than expected for a no frills hole in the wall type place.

I'm crazy happy to have Sushi in our community and good Sushi at that! No la piensen dos veces. El sushi está delicioso y los precios son razonables. ¡Gracias Sushi Tex-Mex!

I love places that beat your expectation. This place is not what it seems. I looked at the reviews and saw that they were all very good and I had some time to kill before my flight left. The sushi is amazing along with there soy sauce is to die for it has peppers, cilantro, onion, all mixed up that you dip your sushi. Family run place that knows customer service and how to make great sushi.

Awesome sushi that is so fresh and great portions!!!! Not only does the food set this place apart l, but also the service. Alita is the sweetest and you can tell they take pride in the food and service. Would definitely recommend!

This is nice to have consistent amounts of rice for each dish. I do wonder if this would make service slow or not because it did take awhile to get our food. There were a lot of to go orders and the way they package the items looked top tier. I did see they had a reasonable price for omakase for 2 ($95). This alone I think is worth trying this place out. However, I was not hungry enough for their omakase. I don't know if the machine played a roll in it but the seaweed was a bit soft and got stuck onto the dish. This made the quality of the rolls disappointing. The fish tasted fresh but I think the flavors and ingredients overpowered the fish. I would have liked ingredients that would elevate the fish and make it stand out as the highlight of the rolls. However, I thought they did a good job with presentation in each dish. I tried the rainbow row and that was a bit hard to eat because the seaweed got stuck onto the wooden board. I also thought the menu didn't reflect all of the ingredients that were inside of the rolls. They list the main stuff but not everything else. For example, I noticed that there was asparagus inside of the rainbow row but it isn't listed. For that reason I'd give it 3 stars. I wouldn't order this again. The next item I tried was the yuzu kissed and this was my favorite out of everything I've tried. I do think that it was missing something that would balance out the citrusy flavor but nevertheless it was still tasty as long as you don't douse the fish in the sauce, 5 stars. I also tried the Wagyu pitchfork and I think something that would've made this taste better would be a sauce maybe like an eel sauce. This would also get 3 stars for me. The spicy tuna roll was 3 stars for me and it was more so of the texture of the tuna. The tuna felt like it was stuffed in the roll and was like a soggy texture. Some of the tuna fell out as I was eating it and it also made the seaweed wrap around it a bit moist. I think if you go here you definitely should get the sashimi that way you could actually taste the quality of the fish. I tried the medium tuna and fatty and these were actually what I would expect from a place like this. The quality was there but the other items didn't hit the mark for me. The other item I tried was the Japanese scallop and the scallop was tasty and had that smooth buttery texture. The seaweed again kind of ruined the scallop for me. It felt like the scallop was shoved into the roll and was all soft and squishy when I picked it up.

It was flavorful with a balanced spice level that builds as you eat, but it is not overwhelming. I also appreciated that they offer extra spice on the side if you want to turn up the heat, which I did not need, but it is nice to have the option. The seasoned egg was definitely a highlight. It was perfectly cooked with that soft, jammy center and well marinated flavor. It is always a good sign when the egg is done right. The only thing I would tweak next time is the protein choice. The chicken itself was a little on the bland side compared to how bold the broth was. It was not bad, just did not stand out. I would probably try the chashu next time for a richer bite. Is it the best ramen I have ever had? No. Is it good? Absolutely. It is a dependable spot with quality ingredients and solid flavor, and I would definitely come back again. Perfect for when you are craving a comforting bowl in The Heights.

The restaurant is really nicely decorated inside and even has a full bar. We stopped by this past Sunday for an early Father's Day dinner and thankfully for us it was not super crowded. We ordered the crispy egg rolls to start and they were so good! Super crispy on the outside and soooo flavorful. I also ordered a lychee martini which was delicious and happened to be $2 off for happy hour. YASSSSS! For our entrees, I ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken, and my boyfriend got the Thai Drunken Noodles with chicken and beef. Both dishes were soooo good. We ordered them at a medium spice level, which was perfect for us. It definitely had my nose running a little but in a good way, not in an overwhelming way. My boyfriend's dad ordered his dish Thai spicy and even he struggled to finish it. This man can handle spice, so the fact that he was surprised says a lot. There's definitely a reason they warn you before ordering it that way! Overall, we had great service throughout our visit which was consistent with everything my boyfriend had told me beforehand. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Multiple people checked in with us to get refills, orders, make sure everything was ok, etc. One quick note on parking: the lot says paid parking but that only applies if you're there for more than two hours. For a normal meal, you should be totally fine.

I would like to preface, this isn't a cheap quick dinner restaurant but I highly recommend coming at least once. We found it on the Michelin guide. I love the inside of the restaurant, the layout is fun and intimate. *grilled oysters were good. The flavor from the n'duja with the bits of pecan was something I would never think to pair. Great start! * elk tartare was surprisingly amazing. I always find tartare to be a tough dish to make outstanding and with elk I was hesitant to try but happy we tried it. The plate was cleaned by the time we finished. The cracker was light and paired well with it. * maitake mushrooms were so good that we had to split it evenly so no one got an unfair amount lol The sauce is like a coffee/caramel/chocolately savory sauce. We typically order steak over pork chops at restaurants but heard great things. Tender and flavorful. I will say it's a very rich dish so be mindful of that but highly recommended * grits, this was the dark horse. It was our favorite tapa. We laugh bc we didn't think grits would be the fav, out of all the amazing dishes. But the beef cheek underneath the silky grits... YUM! This is a bit of a dated review, but we came here for a Valentine's dinner as a special occasion. We got seats at the bar counter behind the fire (which to me was the best seat in the house) so we could be close to the action. One thing you'll notice is that the place is quite loud, I think which owes to the low ceilings (so don't expect like a quiet and romantic vibe). The meal started out great with the bread and butter - bread was sourced from Magnol, which was a huge green flag to start. The oysters were extremely fresh and absolutely delicious. We also had a dish with tuna over crispy rice which was my fiancee's favorite of the night. My personal favorite was the salad (I know that is crazy to say at a restaurant that specializes in live fire cooking) - but the way they zested all different types of citrus/lemons, peppers, chiles, and the way the herbs they put into it, created what was one of the most memorable salads I have ever had. All in all the food was excellent. Service was great (the night we were there, Max Lappe was there sending out food to customers himself). I do kind of wish the atmosphere was a little more quiet. With that said, expect to spend around $200pp (we did share a bottle of wine though).
