We used to love this place a lot. They offer unlimited sashimi for dinner. The first few times we've been here was very good and decent pricing. I think it used to be a free soda too when they first opened. But I'm not sure if I'm mistaking for a different AYCE. Now it's not offered anymore. They've had a menu change and added hot pot option which we haven't had. And added a few dim sum items which are okay. They're not great quality like at a dim sum place. Some orders seem wrong as well. The shu mai was not your typical shu mai you would get in a dim sum place. Last 2 visits here the sushi quality seems to have gone down. The fish is less fresh and very lukewarm. Made it hard to swallow. The short ribs were hit and miss. The bathroom situation is really unpleasant. For months both men and women have a stall out of order. And for the women at least, there's leaking water from the toilets all over the bathroom floor. Makes me really grossed out they've let it gone this long and have not fixed it yet. Another sign the restaurant is looking run down. I think this may be the last time we come here. My sister and I went for our very first hot pot and it was delicious!! I cannot recommend this highly enough. The broths are so good, I could just drink them as is, but when you start adding in the meats dipped in sauces and the veggies, it just adds to the richness. Our server was absolutely wonderful. She was so incredibly nice, put up with our never ending questions, always smiling. I don't remember her name, but if Sushi Soho sees this, she was on duty at noon on 10/27/25. She was delightful. The only draw back was that we had to get a different fork and go through a few plates at the hot pot buffet because they had some stuff on them. That's the only reason I gave four stars instead of five. For an additional amount, you can take your soup home, I think they charged me $5. This was a wonderful experience. It's super cool that this place offers both AYCE sushi and hot pot options! The wait staff were super nice and quick with refill orders. The sushi quality was pretty good for being AYCE too. I really enjoyed the Longevity Roll, which was crab meat, shrimp tempura, and avocado wrapped in forbidden rice, with a mango sauce on top! The restaurant has a nice interior at first glance, but the cracked bench seating made it uncomfortable, with pieces of vinyl poking into our legs. Our server was helpful and informative, but unfortunately the food was a disappointment. On a Monday around 4:30 PM, the soup arrived cold, the tuna tataki was still frozen in the middle with a strong fishy taste, and the fried items were chewy from being overcooked. The bathroom was also unpleasant--it smelled bad, had black sludge and grime in the corners of the stalls, and the lighting was very dim. If the bathroom is like this, how's the kitchen? Hello reader, I've been coming to sushi soho since I moved to Texas in 2023 and this was always my go to spot and it used to to be amazing but unfortunately in my opinion ever since they introduced the hotpot section of the restaurant, the quality and portion sizes of the sushi went down extremely. I understand from a cost standpoint the owners most likely decided to split the budget in half, maybe something like 60%-40% to save money overall or simply remain in budget and to make sure each side (sushi or hotpot) was well balanced. Ive come back to the restaurant 4 separate times since the introduction of the hot point and I noticed each time I came back the quality of the sushi went down and the service. My recent experience was not great at all I had the same server before that is very dismissive and rather talk to her colleagues in Hindi instead of properly tending to her customers. I'm not a needy customer but twice I'd had to flag her down and remind her that I've ordered other items that never came and to top it all off this 01-26-26, I received SPOILED/ ROTTEN CONDENSED MILK on the milky buns. When the sever placed it on my table I instantly knew that It was spoiled because It had a green hue to it. (The pictures don't really pickup on that well.) Even with me seeing that it was that color I still tried the milk on my chopstick and oh my god was it sour . Overall I'm very disappointed that my once favorite sushi spot had declined in quality and service and even served me spoiled items. I will not be returning unfortunately. She kept having "jokes to tell" and asked a bunch of weird personal questions and told us about how her hours had been cut recently because she "wasn't very good at her Job". I got this place to go for a picnic date I was setting up. I ordered some basic sushi rolls and crab Rangoons. The food wasn't horrible but it wasn't great. I would say it was decent. It could be because it took me almost another hour before I ate it after picking it up, so that's something to take into account. When I went in to pick up the food, the lady that assisted me was very friendly so that helps. I am very open to going back to dine in and see if I have a better food experience. read more

Sushi SoHo is a yummy spot for fried food and decent sushi rolls. They offer an AYCE menu which is nice especially for trying out some of the smaller items (not rolls) as you do have to finish everything you order or be threatened with a charge if not finishing what you order. It's a decent sized restaurant which is usually semi busy everytime I am there but the service is quick and welcoming. I am a little disappointed that the price has gone up while the lunch offerings have been reduced, but I understand. The god that was offered was delicious, and the wait times were incredibly quick. It's been a minute since I had AYCE sushi. I'm always skeptical on the food quality when it's not a la carte. My expectations were not too high, but I had to dip my toes in the water as it was highly recommended by our elite yelper, Hannah. Perhaps I should have acted on her words sooner because this place was phenomenal! Thank you for the recommendation. Let's talk about the experience. It's $33.99 per person. Whatever is listed on their menu is fair game. You have to finish all the ordered food or else there will be an extra charge. They have a huge selection of appetizers, regular rolls, hand rolls, special rolls, sashimi, etc. Right off the bat, we ordered 9 items for round 1. Yes, you can say we were overly excited. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Presentation was also on point for a place that has to push out volume. The food was out in no time. They did warn us that the takoyaki and yakitori may take a little longer to make; in all honesty, it wasn't a long wait that we hardly noticed. I think we ended up eating too many rolls that filled us up quickly. The next time, I'm diving into more of the yummy sashimi. Our server, Shawn, was very attentive. He noticed we were ready for round 2, and efficiently took our order. To say the least, we had a great meal! There was no way we could stomach the desserts. The location has a private parking lot. Still great place! Consistency is important for me if I'm going to go back to a place. Still great service since my last review. Server was very attentive. Refilled the drinks at the table multiple times. Since it wasn't our first rodeo, we definitely ordered a lot up front and came around 3pm on a Saturday to avoid any of the busy times. Good food as well. Most of the family ordered sushi rolls. I wanted more sashimi. Thankfully, you *can* have it all since it's AYCE. We kept ordering and ordering. I got the miso soup, Tom yum soup, Japanese short ribs, crab Rangoon, etc etc. My dad reminded me to save room for dessert. We were seated on the inside room which gave us a little more privacy to enjoy the meal with the family. Maybe cause we were here for a special occasion or if it was because we had a party of 8. The server had a surprise for us: a robot that brought my brothers dessert plate. This time I got to try all 3 ice cream flavors green tea, red bean, and vanilla, and this time they added something new to their menu: fried milky buns! At first we were skeptical about an AYCE sushi spot at this price point, but it was to enticing. We were so pleasantly surprised. At $22.99 pp for lunch, there isn't much to complain, not that the quality was bad whatsoever. Some standouts: - the Kyoto tofu app was delicious. Fried and seasoned perfectly, we ordered three plates. - the shrimp tempura was subpar, something off about the breading. - the a la carte salmon and tuna sushi were fantastic, with better-than-average sizes cut. We were seated quickly and placed our first order quickly as well. The food was out quickly, and our server was very attentive. The reviews were right - the sushi/sashimi/maki were significantly better than any AYCE place I've ever been. As for the ambiance, it wasn't very crowded at all, but the lighting was dim, but still plenty bright, and it felt very comfortable. Surprised on the lower ratings on this gem. Having visited multiple AYCE sushi places in DFW, this is by far the best! The service is impeccable and attentive, and the menu is expansive. The reasonable price includes desserts and unlimited soft drinks which is a rare perk. The sushi has always been fresh and the one time a roll didn't meet my standards, they replaced it and did not count it against us for the leftover pieces charge. Maybe not the best ambiance but the sushi was so fresh and our service was very sweet. We did not have the all you can eat but will be back for that. Each time in the past year I have come back I walk out unsatisfied. The miso soup is NEVER hot anymore. It's like warm. They are very stingy with the menu too. My kids used to love the chicken fried rice but now that is an "only to go" thing unless you order to go and when I asked why he said the price. You can't get Ahi Tuna sashimi recently too and when I asked why....it was also the price. I do understand AYCE can be pricey to maintain but removing CHICKEN fried rice? I always look forward to visiting Sushi Soho because I love their Pork Buns--it's something I truly enjoy that reminds me of my childhood. However, this last time was probably the last time I decide to visit Sushi Soho in a while. Their Pork Buns weren't cooked the same like last time. Well, I mean sometimes they were, but sometimes they weren't. Even though I'm positive they microwave it, it was fine; however, what isn't fine is when they microwave it too much, to the point that the Pork Buns harden. That, and the customer service wasn't as good this time around. Because we went on the weekend, there was a small wait. It was no big deal since the wait was about 5 minutes, and the lady who assisted us was very kind and sweet. The service declined when we were handed off to a server who seated us. It took her a while to get our drinks and order, and even then, she wasn't really paying attention to us even when she paid attention to other tables around us. As for the food, as stated above, the Pork Buns are a bit of an unknown--it can either be really good or bad. I do believe that Sushi Soho is pretty good when it comes to cooked rolls but not so great when it comes to raw sushi like nigiri and sashimi. The raw ones usually doesn't taste as fresh as Japan House per se. I would definitely visit again but not anytime soon. read more

In the 11 months since my original review, I visited Sushi Soho another 7 times. Only 1 of those 7 visits was as impressive as my first. The rest either involved terrible service or low-quality, old-tasting fish or both. Unfortunately, I began to hesitate about coming back. But come back I did. And seriously regretted it. The host showed me to my booth, I looked down at the table, and saw a little cockroach crawling across it. I looked at the host, who had gone silent, looked back at the roach, looked back at the host, and said "you might want to take care of that." I should have walked out right then, but I think I was just so startled and was trying to be polite. So I sat down at the very next booth. The waiter came over to ask if I wanted a drink and before I could answer, another waiter came flying over my head with a napkin and WHAM! smacked the bug against the wall. Apparently the host did NOT take care of it and the roach had made its way up the wall by my head. I jumped up and stared at the two waiters. The one who had killed the bug then tried to LIE TO ME and said "oh sorry about that, I was just killing a mosquito." A mosquito. In November. In the middle of a restaurant. Not only a lie, but a stupid one. I calmly replied "no, it wasn't a mosquito, I already saw what it was." Screw this place. I am never going back. read more

Sushi soho is legit my one of my favorite spots!! The first time I came, was because of their huge sign blingin off the Interstate! The font was enticing so I knew I should at least stop and see what they "was hittin for"!!! Well baby, am I glad rhat I'm so nosey!! The all you can eat menu is HUGE *prounced loke Donald T* with all the appetizers, soups, salad, veggies, sushi, sashimi, your little chopstick wielding heart could desire! What keeps me coming back is the super fast service, attentive staff, clean interior, and of course it is TASTAYYY! No matter who I bring here, we always leave full and happy! We visited here finally! We have spotted this from the freeway and seen it on Facebook. I am happy we tried it. It wasn't too busy when we entered but pretty full by the time we left. They have a robot bringing food around, and it sings! Ok, one song, but it didn't bother me. The food is awesome and the staff is really nice. I wish it was closer to us. I had spicy edamame, lettuce wrap chicken, avocado roll, tempura roll, and egg drop soup. Everything tasted fresh. The sushi was very well wrapped. The soup came out piping hot. They had everything that we all like, even my picky 11yr old found things he liked! Go and enjoy the robot delivery. Enjoy the holiday deco. But most of all, enjoy the food! read more

The sushi was good for a ayce and the price. They did add a lot of rice per piece of sushi which was a bummer but it was still good. I would prefer this place over damu in frisco but this location is very far so I would probably end up going to one that is closer to me since it wasn't that special or stand out like yokohama in plano that I would travel the distance for. Its a great spot for people who live nearby and want to do a ayce. It was very busy when we went during lunch but it was still easy to find a seat. read more

When a true sushi lover hears the words "all you can eat sushi" most will cringe. I myself have not had good experiences with AYCE sushi restaurants but I may have found an exception. Sushi Soho on Airport Freeway has an interesting concept. They offer a lunch menu and a dinner menu with tons of items, all of which are on the AYCE plan. You can also choose to order on a per item basis just as you would anywhere. So that's a big plus for those that may not like sushi and just want a regular tempura and katsu chicken meal. But, of course, none of that matters unless the food is good and the food is good at Sushi Soho. We order mostly sushi and have been very pleased. The other foods we have ordered- salads, soups, sunomono, seaweed salad are also good. As we have not ordered too much else I can't testify for the rest of it. I'm not sure the $30 price is worth it for older people. An order of nigiri sushi is $7 for 2 pieces and other items are similarly priced reasonably. So it may just be a regular restaurant for some of you. The decor and feel of the restaurant is clean and crisp. And they have an unusual feature. There is a glassed in area visible to all in the middle of the restaurant. It's a great idea to keep the noise that sometimes comes with large group seating. It's very interesting. One last note; you MUST try the little milk buns. I never thought they would be so yummy but they are! I would stop by just for these. Go by Sushi Soho and see what you think. I've brought several friends here and they all fell in love. one friend comes in to visit from OKC and he immediately says "can we go to Sushi Soho?"
