Stars off because heard employees talking shit about customers behind their backs. Does not create a good atmosphere. Also, the cucumbers are so bitter.

Excellent sushi takeout and very reasonable prices! The pop up roll and sweet potato roll were both amazing! They have a great dinner special that makes it super affordable. Can't wait to come back!

Ordered delivery on superbowl Sunday for a party I was hosting. Sushi came fast and was delicious. Our order was correct, nothing was missing just the chop sticks. Overall sushi was great, just like restaurant quality. Thank you!

Overall, this is a good place to go for an all you can eat place for a decent price. You can get whatever you want on the menu and as many as you want. Service was okay; they were kind of pushy and kept making sure of everything. I get that, especially since the place is small and limited. However, it makes me feel like a burden; that I have to finish soon so they can clear the table and seat someone else. Food was still good!! They do put a lot of rice, so pace yourself if you do the all you can eat.

Let me preface my review by saying I am a sucker for a good AYCE deal ... but I absolutely loved my experience at Sushi Para. 27$ for all you can eat sushi, AND the nigiri is included for no charge?? count me in!! This place is also BYOB which is super nice, and also makes it cost effective. My buddy and I brought a 6 pack to enjoy with our meal. Pro tip, bring something light so you don't waste space for the bottomless sushi! I got a couple of rolls which were pretty solid but really leaned into the nigiri to get the most possible fish for my dollar. As I very much enjoy milking the value of AYCE, here is a breakdown of what I got for my $27 and the cost it would've been if I came and ordered al la cart. 2x miso soup - 5/5 - $4 value 1x rainbow roll - 4/5 - $15 value 1x giant eel roll -3/5 - $11 value 2x Spicy Tuna Roll - 4/5 - $20 value 10x Tuna nigiri - 5/5 - $30 value 15x salmon nigiri - 5/5 - $45 value 4x Yellowtail - 4/5 - $12 value 2x Mackeral - 4/5 - $4 value TOTAL - $141 worth of sushi Damn... this is my first time adding it all up haha. As you can see though, just so much bang for my buck. Everything was extremely fresh and well prepared, and the service staff came around frequently to place new orders. Make sure to come on an empty stomach, and maybe i'll see you here! I will be frequenting this spot

This place is kind of small and gets packed fast, but the sushi is good! Smaller pieces and fresh high quality fish, which is quite generous as you can tell. That is mainly all you can taste, so if you really love sushi for the fish - this is your spot! The service is decent (what you would normally expect). Overall I found it to be good! I do think the price is high for all you can eat, especially since the dinner menu doesn't have many options. Nothing incredible but nothing bad either, a great spot for an easy lunch or dinner!

Came with a pretty large group for a weekend lunch and we were able to make a reservation in advance! Weekend pricing for ayce is dinner pricing all day which came out to ~ $35 pp after tax and tip. Overall I thought it was a pretty good value and the fish quality was nice! There was a good variety of appetizers- I especially liked the grilled squid, yellowtail sushi, and salmon sushi. I did think that the fish quality was better during our first round. Overall a nice laid back place for ayce sushi! Food: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambience: 3.5/5

Great All You Can Eat Sushi! I always come here when I'm celebrating something. The restaurant is on the smaller side so, there's almost always a short wait but, it's worth it. The service once you're seated is always very quick too. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu but I'm a big fan of their Rainbow roll and the tea. The All You Can Eat deal is the best but, they also have some good takeout deals as well. p.s. It's BYOB and Wheelchair Accessible.

Loved our experience here at Sushi Para II! We came in later on a weeknight and were seated right away. Service was efficient and friendly and all of our food came out very quickly. I didn't take pics of everything, but we ended up getting the miso soup, grilled squid, tuna poke and karage as appetizers - all of which were super fresh and delicious. Then we got a variety of specialty and basic rolls as well as nigiri . The standout of the night was the eel - it was soft and melted in the mouth and perfectly seasoned!! We ended up ordering many more eel containing items throughout the rest of the night. Honestly everything was super fresh and delicious, the rice was perfectly cooked as well. Overall great value for the variety and quality of the rolls that they offered. Portions are also not too big as well for the appetizers which is really nice when you're trying a variety of foods. 10/10 would recommend!

I've been to Sushi Para's DC location many times. It was most convenient all you can eat sushi from our home just outside the DC border in Silver Spring, Maryland. Unfortunately the location did not last the pandemic, so we decided to get this Chicago location's sushi delivered to me and my fiancé during my stay at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab to celebrate my last night there as we often went to celebrate special occasions for us and our friends in DC. Overall, the sushi was quite better than we had at the DC location. May not quite meet the quality of Friends Sushi or Sunda but their deals (both all you can eat and the dinner special) definitely makes it 5 stars. We ordered two dinner specials with an appetizer, 3 rolls, and two pieces of nigiri sushi. For the appetizer we got the tuna poke, which was delicious and not something we remember DC having. On one tray ls we tried were Crazy Tuna, Philadelphia, and Volcano rolls with Mackerel and Yellowtail nigiri. The other one had the Michigan, Mountain, and Christmas rolls with Red Snapper and Mackerel nigiri. We hope someday we can dine in person for the all you can eat sushi, given our beloved Sushi Para DC has closed.

Excellent place to get all you can eat sushi for an amazing deal ($28 per person). And it's BYOB! I've tried almost every roll here and tbh it's hard to go wrong with all the options - every thing I've had has been good, but my favorites are to get some nigiri, along with the crazy tuna, the chicago roll, the american dream, and the volcano roll. Not sure if you can make reservations but they turn tables quickly - I've never had to wait more than 30 mins for a table.

We LOVE the all you can eat dinner special here. For $26.99 each, you can get as many rolls as you want. Just make sure to finish the plate, as any leftovers you will have to pay additional. This is a blessing as my boyfriend absolutely loves sushi and can house upwards of six different rolls to himself! We also adore the fact that it is BYOB. We always bring a bottle of wine or case of beer. The sushi is high quality for such a reasonable price. They are always busy, but the wait is never too long. We like to go during the week and we never wait. They are a blessing to have in this neighborhood and a household favorite at our place. Great for dining in or picking up to bring home.

I've been to several AYCE sushi places in the city and I don't think you can go wrong with Sushi Para in Lincoln Park mainly because of its affordability and quick service. I believe this is one of the cheapest all you can eat options I've experienced paying about $32ish after tax and tip, and I was able to walk in with absolutely no wait on a Saturday evening (granted our party only had two people). I will say the sushi quality is notably lower than some of my other go to AYCE sushi places--the nigiri pieces we ordered of salmon, tuna, and eel were noticeably larger slices than some of the other places I've tried but the fish quality isn't as good, it didn't give you the "melt in your mouth type experience" and just felt like you were chewing larger pieces of the not as good parts of the fish. That being said, I think price and quickness is unbeatable for this experience, if you live in the Lincoln Park area coming here definitely saves you a commute to some of the other neighborhoods, making this place super convenient.

2 sake (salmon) rolls and a sake nigiri (sushi piece).

Seating was comfortable. I tried their express lunch menu, which is a great option if you're here during lunch time. You get to pick 3 items from the list and I chose tako taco (a little spicy but highly recommend- one of my favorite things that day), salmon avocado (I'm not a personal fan of the Meyer lemon sauce), and tuna avocado rice bowl. Each item is smaller portioned but all together it's a substantial lunch set. I also tried the express sushi and sashimi lunch set, which comes with a delicious seaweed salad which I would order on its own as an appetizer. The lunch set comes with their "oh-my-kaze." This includes salmon, hamachi and tuna. One piece of tuna was substandard and had a big piece of sinew in it. Our server quickly switched it for another piece. The only dish I would skip is the Peking duck sizzling rice. The taste was fine- a little on the sweeter side with the hoisin sauce but the portion was more of an appetizer size. It's also not a true Peking duck, which focuses on a crispy duck skin and this dish just featured duck meat.

My only critique is the pacing. Since the chef already had the fish sliced and prepped, I expected a smoother flow, but the meal took about an hour and a half for 14 pieces of sushi. The taki yoki fritters weren't bad either. We saw people getting omakase, so we ordered a yummy looking piece they were receiving. It was just okay (chutoro truffle). The nigiri was also okay. The tuna piece was the only I really loved. The fish quality wasn't as high as I was expecting. The sushi was decent. A little too much truffle in the spicy blue fin tuna and a little too vegetable forward in the hamachi serrano. All in all, the atmosphere and amazing service pushed this up to a 4 for me.
