Parking, luckily, wasn't a hassle and we were seated immediately upon arrival. Delicious, high quality fish with a gorgeous interior. They offer inside & outside seating, which normally has the mist-ers on during hot days. The sauces were great and they're very accommodating with food allergies. I have a gluten intolerance and they noted that some of their dishes do include gluten but they can work around it! They also offer gluten free soy sauce, which is pretty rare at many sushi restaurants. The staff often checked in to see how we were doing and even took away the empty plates immediately rather than letting them stack up! My only complaint is that we asked our waitstaff for the baby squid appetizer three times and she said she would write it down, but it never arrived, unfortunately. Other than that, aside from being a very Instagrammable spot with delicious fish, this spot is perfect if you're dropping down in Phoenix with spoiled tastebuds!

Saturday 10/10 Came for an early dinner before heading to…read morethe Uncorked Arizona event at Chase Field grounds. Last time we enjoyed the sushi so much we had to come back for more. The sake I had was the Omikaze cold and unfiltered: delicious!, we also had the coconut cold sake. The ambiance is very pleasant, relaxed, the sushi preparation is done facing towards the tables, while the fried items are cooked in the kitchen. The staff in general are helpful and polite, our server especially was attentive, made sure there was no chile in what I ordered - and she took care that any spicy sauces were on the side, so we could share the various sushi orders. We ordered the Super Crunch Shrimp Roll, deep-fried, wrapped in soy paper, with shrimp tempura, avocado, cream cheese, crab stick and eel sauce. My favorite but all are so good it's hard to choose. A nice sashimi of yellowtail and albacore that was fresh, delicious, could've had more: the seaweed garnish was fresh and crunchy. Then the Rainbow roll came looking perfect but it was spicy so I admired it and my friends ate it all. The Kodo roll was also delicious, they kindly put the spicy garlic on the side so I could share with the others, The following review is from my first visit, I somehow thought I had posted it: , oops. Pleasant and efficient, with tables and some comfy banquettes along the side; the sushi station had three - maybe four? - chefs making the rolls and sashimiI while we decided what to order. I was quite impressed by the sashimi, but the whole lunch was delicious. We went around 1pm, so it wasn't crowded which was perfect for enjoying chatting and the food. We ordered sake bombs and for me the cold unfiltered sake: a good choice with deliciously fresh Sashimi, tempura shrimp, the unagi was delicious!, a tuna roll and a platter to share with salmon, the mentioned unagi nigiri and another spicy salmon I couldn't taste because there was chili in it. Definitely coming back !

The food was actually very good, which makes the experience even more disappointing because the…read moreservice was absolutely horrible. We were a party of 12 visiting on vacation, and none of us are from the area. We ordered spam musubi and a chicken skewer as appetizers. Both appetizers arrived well after our entrees had already been served and we had essentially finished eating. Each time we asked about them, we were repeatedly told, "They're coming." Mind you, these are simple appetizers that should not take anywhere near that long to prepare. When we asked for the third time, we finally asked that the appetizers be cancelled since we had already finished our meal. At that point, the gentleman working the front area , tall, with red hair, loudly yelled from across the restaurant, in an extremely rude and confrontational tone, "It's already on the grill!" There was absolutely no reason to speak to paying customers that way. His response was unprofessional, unnecessary, and honestly created a very hostile and uncomfortable feeling during what should have been an enjoyable dinner, especially while our group was on vacation and simply trying to enjoy a meal together. When the appetizers eventually came out, we left them sitting there because we were already done eating and ended up taking them to go. He eventually told us they would be removed from the bill, which we appreciated, but that did not excuse the way the situation was handled. Again, the food was good, but good food does not make up for poor service and especially not for an employee speaking to customers in an aggressive and disrespectful manner. Management should seriously address how customers are treated, because the interaction with this particular employee overshadowed what could have otherwise been a good dining experience for our party of 12.

They even have a little robo-server delivering some dishes. Food: 4-stars - I really enjoyed the carpaccio options they had as well as the shrimp tempura. However, the gyoza was double or triple fried and tasted horribly. Can't believe they actually served it like that to their paid customers to be honest. And the agedashi tofu was not fried at all so it was completely mushy which is not how I expected it. Other than that, the other dishes/options were pretty good. Definitely ate more than my price of admission - worth it! Ambiance was nice, bright and clean looking. Would definitely come back and recommend if you're a sushi lover!

Got sat pretty quick and staffs were friendly. AYCE price for dinner is $34.98 lunch is $26.98. Typical rules, 2 hours, eat what you order and dishes per order. Ordered miso soup, seaweed salad, vegetable tempura and few other sushi. Tempura was tasty and piping hot. Miso soup was also pretty good along with seaweed salad. I like that Salmon roe sushi was bite size small. Over all the sushi weren't bad but the rice was bit on the sat around /undercooked on some part of the rice. Over all fish was OK on the quality but you get what you pay for. I did not try some of the other side menu items due to not being able to over stuff myself like I used to. If you are in the area and want to stuff yourself with not to bad sushi this place might work. I personally would not come back for the quality and price for the food.

I ordered hot sake and it did not disappoint. My daughter got a Ramune, miso soup, and shrimp tempura roll. No complaints! Miso soup was missing tofu that day. Apparently they were all out. Good amount of fish vs rice. Everyone is very attentive. Service is very good. The ambiance is interesting :) nothing fancy but not too bland either. There are full moon/moon related decorations. The rolls are also named with the Moon theme in mind. Overall very nice and we will be back to try their ramen !

We shifted gears and went next door to Sake Haus, and I'm so glad we did! Everything was spectacular! First of all--BEST edamame I've ever had! That tallow really adds a richness! And the gyoza had just the right amount of kick to them. We had both the hamachi crudo and the halibut crudo. They were both delicious, but the hamachi was the standout. Hamachi is usually a little too fishy for me, but this just melted in my mouth and left me wanting more. We also had one of the specials, the 808 roll. It was topped with poke, and we would not let them take the plate until we'd scooped up every little morsel! Cocktails and service were excellent as well. We definitely ended up with a pricier meal than what we'd planned next door, but it was totally worth it! I wish I'd taken pics of the beautifully plated dishes, but I was too just eating!

I was dying for sushi and this place looked promising. A few things to preface this review: 1) I…read morelove sushi and I typically steer clear of sushi in the desert for obvious reasons. 2) I lean towards sashimi and high quality fish. The service- pretty poor. I was sat in the bar at the back but I basically sat there for a good 5 minutes and nothing. I went back up front and asked to sit at the bar and it was still pretty inattentive, especially considering no one else was even seated in the front room at the time. Never got my water refilled, had to flag them down to put in more food, that sorta thing. The vibes- thought the bar was pretty lit and is prob pretty fun during HH. The food- overpriced for what you get and portion size while the fish and flavors being a smidge above average. I left still hungry after getting the gold omakase, bad and buri roll, and hamachi crudo. The hamachi was the best part of the meal but I'd still expect at least 5 pieces for the price. Anyways, this spot will hit the spot if you have a sushi craving. I can't vouch for the drinks but I assume it more than checks the box in that regard judging by the menu, selection, and vibe. But know that you're in for some trade offs imo.
