Food was great, service was wack This place truly has some potential but the slowness of their service brings it quite down. Their were tables available but we still have to wait to get seated till a table left I guess to space it out but even when ordering food it took awhile As a previous waitress, we usually get a section to tend to but in this case our waitress was just running all over the places. First round of crab legs were delish. Second was so salty. Third was not too bad Sushi taste & quality was good. We saw a party of 4 kids left because the wait was so long waiting for their food to come.

Everything I got is included in the $31.99 dinner meal. We had a party of 5 and after mandatory tip and tax it came out to around $42 per person. Ordered more than this but forgot to take pictures. The food is really good but theres a lot of fried stuff for appetizers. I wish they also had more non fried options, but overall great experience. Servers were really food about giving us the paper to order more after our batches of food finished coming out. It's a really cute place too, they have a bar area. They also had a fun challenge you can do to try to win a free meal or discount.

Food was AMAZING I took my family here for mother's Day and we ordered a bunch of sushi. I suggest the King Kong roll. We had lots of appetizers (mabye a little to many ) and ramen and crab. Ii expected the crab to be dry but instead it was juicy and buttery thanks to the sauce they give you Our waiter was amazing! She made sure all the shellfish sushi was separated from the other sushi so the person with a shellfish allergy could be safe. She also suggested other things on the menu that were shellfish free so that he could enjoy his time too. The ambiance was gorgeous. They had lots of pink (perfect for mothers day) and all the staff was welcoming! They even gave my mom a free gift because it was mother's day The only thing that was a little questionable was the bathroom. The guys bathroom seems to be separated with the ladies bathroom by a mirror...? And if you peak at the side you can see each other. The toilets are separate and more private but still thought to mention that because it was shocking and a little weird overall 10/10 experience though!

If you love crab and sashimi this the idea AYCE sushi restaurant for you as they offer it at the cost of a premium price for their premium seafood. My wife and I went for the lunch on a Wednesday and I was surprised with the amount of options that they had on the menu. Items ranging from the appetizers, sushi, and even ramen. We kept it simple and had the standard AYCE that doesn't include sashimi (only sliced sushi, no rice) or the crab legs. From ordering to waiting for the sushi took a bit of time so I'd recommend either ordering a fair amount in the beginning so you can get your fill or order as soon as your order arrives to optimize on the time. Paid street parking in front, patio along the side so possibly dog friendly during the warmer seasons (not confirmed),

Really wished I liked this sushi spot. Our waitress was extremely sweet and thoughtful, we absolutely loved her. Our waitress was kind enough to let us know our sushi would take approximately 30 minutes because the kitchen was busy and made sure we order some appetizers. The interior design is really cute, they did a great job. We were disappointed with the sushi out of all things. We ordered multiple signature rolls containing spicy tuna. The spicy tuna was lacking the spice component. The rolls were cut thickly which was difficult to eat and enjoy. If you order a roll that contains cream cheese, watch out; they put a lot which makes you feel heavy after eating.

I used to think all AYCE sushi places are the same. Sushi Loop provides that is not the case! Highly recommend upgrading to the sashimi as they provide generous portions of fish. Personally, I love rolls and they have an impressive array of options. The only thing I would skip is the Ramen. That was the only underwhelming thing, but we came for sushi, not Ramen. Service was super attentive and able to explain the concept of menu well. Seating inside has family friendly options for large groups and folks with little ones.

We came here for their AYCE lunch on a Monday ($23.99) which I thought was a great value. Most of popular items were available execpt sashi which cost extra. They also have snow crab legs for extra $ as well. We ordered a bunch. The highlights included chicken skewers and dragon rolls. The fish mostly tasted fresh. Interior were new and modern. Would come back on weekdays if time permits.

Came in on a Monday around noon expecting lunch prices but the server mentioned that it was going to be dinner pricing the whole day. I'm not sure if this was because it was considered a bank holiday. There are normally 3 different dinner pricing tiers. The normal dinner pricing includes appetizers, ramen, nigiri, hand-rolls. The premium tier includes sashimi and the 2nd premium included snow crab. The restaurant is spacious and currently decorated with fun and spooky Halloween decorations. There were two large nest seating areas for larger groups. We ordered some edamame, chicken yakitori and tempura veggies to start me. I shared a spicy miso ramen with my friend. The broth was flavorful and a little spicy. We also ordered the fire dragon roll, sunny roll and golden dragon roll along with some egg, scallop and new york strip nigiri. Unfortunately there was extended wait times between courses and we felt like we had to wait to flag down the server. We were also surprised to find that hot green tea was not included in the ayce price and it was just hot water plus a Bigelow green tea bag that we would have to steep. The desserts were fine. We tried macarons, strawberry and matcha ice cream mochi, tempura oreo and creme brulee. Unfortunately they did not have any hamachi kama.

First time here and we tried the lunch special for all you can eat for $23.99 The ambience and the service was fantastic. My favorite dish was the gyoza. No room for dessert so we definitely will be coming back. Thank you Sushi Loop for everything!

I came here with my boyfriend for the all-you-can-eat sushi, and overall the experience was mixed. Cons: When we first sat down, the floors around our table were pretty dirty. There was even a piece of meat on the floor with ants all over it. We alerted our waitress about it and moved to the table right next to it. Unfortunately, instead of cleaning the area, another couple was seated there shortly after, which was concerning from a hygiene standpoint. I also went to the bathroom and saw an employee leave without washing her hands, which made me even more uneasy about cleanliness. The spicy miso soup was extremely spicy--almost too spicy to eat, and we're people who usually love spicy food. The iced tea tasted more like colored water and even adding sugar didn't help much. I ordered the snow crab, and while the crab legs were a decent size, they came out cold. They were only served with butter and there weren't any other sides or sauces to pair with them. Pros: On the positive side, the sushi itself was really good and the portions were generous. Our waitress was also very sweet and hardworking. She handled multiple tables efficiently, took our orders carefully, and even bused her own tables. Her service was definitely 10/10. Overall, the sushi and service were great, but the cleanliness and a few food quality issues made the experience disappointing.

Tried this place for lunch on opening weekend. We had the all you can eat special. It's a great deal and it covers not just the sushi but also appetizers, ramen, salads, and dessert. The interior is well done and colorful. The staff are friendly and service was good. We tried several of the sushi rolls and they were all delicious. Mango Tango is a must. We also tried a few appetizers and they were great. Will be back for certain

Service was good, price is fair. Has lots of options on their menu which is why I did rated it high but the rice on the sushi is too cold which makes me think it's not as fresh. I think it's because we came right when they open so I'm hoping it isn't always the case. Overall I don't mind coming here again but it won't be my go to. Street parking and it's quite big inside

I have been to the Sushi Taku restaurant on Division countless times. I went with friends and did all-you-can-eat. My favorite item we had was the salmon and yellowtail carpaccio which we ordered separately off of the menu. It was flavorful and tasted fresh. It can be a little hard to remember all of what I ate since our group was grabbing plates based on how it looked instead of just the name. The Philadelphia roll tasted great. There were 1-2 tempura rolls which were okay. The sauce used on the octopus balls was amazing! I wish I could put that sauce on everything! It was so savory with some umami flavor as well. The creme brulee was okay, I wouldn't try it again. I think it could have had more flavor and-/or sweetness. The mochi as always was great. The coconut ice cream was a surprise in how great it tasted!

I almost decided to save Miru for our next visit, but I'm glad I made time for breakfast here on our departure day. Located inside the St. Regis Chicago, the restaurant offers beautiful views. The service was excellent--attentive, friendly, and professional. I ordered the Tokyo Breakfast. The salmon was perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with rice, a soft-poached egg, and salmon roe. The miso soup was slightly salty on its own, but it worked surprisingly well when enjoyed with the rice toward the end of the meal. Overall, a memorable breakfast experience. The sushi is phenomenal, as were our drinks... but the other entrees are disappointing. The karaage and duck yakisoba in particular in quality could be from any corner restaurant in Chicago. The service lends itself more casual, and I noticed they were consistently quite slow to clear our table. I don't think people come here for the food as much as the views. Overlooking Streeterville from this angle and vantage was truly jaw dropping and for this reason I still strongly recommend Miru.

The taki yoki fritters weren't bad either. We saw people getting omakase, so we ordered a yummy looking piece they were receiving. It was just okay (chutoro truffle). The nigiri was also okay. The tuna piece was the only I really loved. The fish quality wasn't as high as I was expecting. The sushi was decent. A little too much truffle in the spicy blue fin tuna and a little too vegetable forward in the hamachi serrano. All in all, the atmosphere and amazing service pushed this up to a 4 for me.
