    Spicy Jin Ramen with Chicken

Popped in for ramen. Conveniently located near Silver Spring metro, this spot was a great change of pace for my week. I wanted something hot and yummy that would not break the bank. Once I locked in on ramen, Sushi Jin was a top search in the area. A few steps away from the mall, a quaint and quiet place. Service was quick and easy, I ate, I tipped, I conquered and would definitely consider another visit. It was great! 10/10

Does not match pictures off menu. Very bland, dipping in soy sauce + wasabi made it better. Avocado (in both rolls, although not being listed in one) was tough and crunchy. Upon inspecting and destroying the sushi's avocado, found a hair. Super fun, I threw the rest out what a shame.

That was some of the best sushi!!!! That shrimp tempura roll and the sweet potato roll WOW!!! Only complaint is the cut it a bit smaller because it was hard to eat gracefully, haha, such big chunks, but the flavor was amazing! Great service and good vibe! I'd definitely go back!

It's been years since I've last been here, but I'm glad the quality of their sushi has remained top-tier! Of course I had to order the lobster lasagna, which was my go-to back in the day. The creamy lobster and crabmeat mix is placed on top of the actual sushi roll, and the roll consists of avocado, cucumber, and others - including a tasty sauce. I more than recommend! I also ordered the Philly roll and plum wine to complement. I came during lunch time, and there was a decent amount of people inside, but the service was pretty quick and the server and manager were both very attentive. So, definitely visit if you're looking for a good sushi place!

This restaurant is tucked away in downtown silver spring. Don't get intimidated though - theres a parking garage about a block down. Like many have said - it is smaller. I don't recommend for like a huge group to do dine in. We were a group of 5 and tables more meant for 4 and below. That being said - service was amazing. We got time to review menu. We had our waters refilled. The food came out pretty quick. We order a bunch of different rolls - I am sorry I can't remember them all right now. It's all good and super fresh. I don't know if it's just me I hate when I order tuna roll somewhere and they give something mushed up. Here I got to see the actual piece of fish in my sushi - the way I like it. The house salad was also yummy! I recommend this place maybe for a date night or someone visiting the DMV and wants some good sushi.

Stopped by Sushi Jin for a late lunch. The cozy atmosphere and lack of crowds made it a relaxing visit, and overall, I'd give it about 3.5 stars. The spicy Jin ramen isn't very traditional, and the meat was a bit sweeter than I prefer. The Russian Roulette sushi was a fun surprise--one piece packed with wasabi for a playful twist. The tempura udon was hearty, with plenty of vegetables hidden at the bottom of the soup.

I'm rarely in this area, but I absolutely loved this sushi spot. The ambiance had an inner-city vibe--it honestly felt like a small place tucked away in NYC. The staff ware friendly. And the food? The sushi was superb.

It's not bad... it's not great. Bolgogi rolls, lobster lasagna roll, mushroom broth, chicken skewer. Bolgogj is cool. Needs its own sauce. Lime not soy. Lobster rolls... are crawfish rolls. Lobster where? Call it what it is. Skewer... fried hard chicken thigh pieces and spring onion. Dry. And hard :( Soup is easy enough- but the plastic container- you can taste it if you order to go. Waaaahhhhhh! A bust today!

Sushi Jin offers an immersive dining experience where aromatic complexity meets refined presentation. The Kung Pao Chicken achieves a masterful equilibrium of heat, texture, and savor, while the Back to the pot chicken reveals delicate craftsmanship in both form and flavor. Service is discerning yet unobtrusive, enhancing the sense of understated elegance. A destination for those who appreciate authenticity elevated by precision.

I think the thing that stood out to me was they have so many unique and imaginative special sushi rolls, combinations that I haven't seen before. Great price and service was good. Quite small/narrow space inside but the seating they have set up is great and I love how it's decorated.

Haven't been here for a min, more like a little over a year . This used to be one of our favorite sushi restaurants before we moved away. Always love the atmosphere , the inside setting is very much like an authentic restaurant. Wall decoration are really fun to look at. During this visit , the service was as good as always, friendly and attentive. However, we were not a big fan of some of the dishes they added to the seasonal menu , for instance , the fried ball appetizer, and added Sriracha to some of the sushi rolls making spicy. Personally, I like Sriracha, however after Sriracha is added to sushi, I personally feel a change the flavor the sushi should have. Also the sauce added to the sashimi appetizer felt like it shouldn't be there. Value- didn't feel there was too much of a price jump, still pretty decent and reasonable. Parking- nearby Silver Spring downtown parking garages are available. Do recommend @WineDinenVacay

It has lost its charm. A few years the staff would greet you in Japaneses when walking in. Staff nowadays is very mixed and doesn't represent the Japanese culture. s'Staff is not welcoming anymore and the atmosphere has been lost. The food still good.

I don't like fish but I love sushi (I know, I know haha). Sushi Jin has a large assortment of vegetarian/sushi with chicken and meat in it. I absolutely loved the bulgogi roll and the Japanese tempura rolls. The seaweed salad is also awesome- it has other vegetables on top too and I really liked that. Highly recommend visiting here! Please note that we ordered take out, and they put the fish and chicken/beef sushi in one container. I'd suggest if you're like me, make a special request to ensure they don't. :) In their defense, I think they organized by sauce.

I didn't find any krab or even the taste of it, but good none the less. I shared another appetizer, inuri ( not sure if spelling), tofu fried in a wrapper and covered in a delicious sweet sauce. I'm not a tofu person, but this dish could change that! DH ordered hot and sour soup and drunken noodles. Not a fan of hot and sour soup but I liked this one! So did DH. He loved his drunken noodles with pork. It had a hint of curry and was a little spicy. He ordered a sweet tea and said it was really, really sweet. Diner #2 ordered miso soup and teriyaki chicken. She loved the soup and I got to taste her chicken. It came kind of fajita style on a sizzling platter with red and green peppers, broccoli and a little bit of onion with a generous portion of chicken breast sliced on top with a good sauce and sesame seeds. It was accompanied by white rice. Large enough portion that she has lunch for tomorrow! Diner #3 ordered an eel roll and a few pieces of fat salmon sashimi. She said it was all good. I ordered pad Thai with shrimp. Several large shrimp were delicious and the noodles were very good. I ordered it as mild as possible and there was not a hint of 'hot' spice although it was physically really hot, which I love. I think next time I'd ask for a little heat in it. As I'm writing this I realize I could have asked for some chili oil or something to spice it but I enjoyed it very much. The server was terrific and a few people made sure our drinks were refilled. I definitely am looking forward to my next visit here. There are lots of things I want to try!

I think that the customer service was excellent and the chef had charisma, personality, and should do stand up, he was a pleasure and a joy such a guy with rizz. My issue was the food itself as the rice was amazing but did not age well being taken back home for take out, and the chicken and salmon were not as flavorful as a homemade version I would had cooked so there was the blandness. I ended up having digestive issues and got sick for a day or two after eating from here which was disappointing, because the vibe is awesome in this spot and the positive energy is contagious. I felt so relaxed and joyous here. I think the food can be cooked better even though they are generous with excellent portion sizes. I think it is a strong contender for one of the best restaurants in the region if they step the food preparation up. I also did not like this sauce they provided, but it does have better customer service than the typical DMV spots which tend to struggle with the customer service, so they get an A with that making you feel welcomed and respected and not strictly transactional experience, very warm, nice, attentive, diligent, and hard working staff, so they have the bones here, so once they step up the actual food prep and quality then they will be 4 to 5 stars easily. That is all I got!

There's plenty of parking around the restaurant, plus there's additional parking in the giant shopping center. Sushi Freedom is marketed as an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) place, but you can also order a la carte. The AYCE price is about $33 per person for dinner/weekends ($23 for weekday lunch). They also have lunch specials, but these are only available on weekdays (similar to the buffet pricing, the weekend is all-day dinner). Sashimi is only available at dinner. Even though it's called "Sushi Freedom," they have other Asian cuisine dishes on the menu. I like that the AYCE also includes apps, soups, salads, and some noodle dishes. I did a la carte this time, but I will definitely come back to try out the AYCE. We were greeted and seated right away. Several customers were finishing up their meals. The tables were already set with menus, napkins, and silverware. Once we were seated, our server immediately got our drinks. Service was excellent! He asked if we had any questions about the menu, checked on us, was knowledgeable about the menu and nuances of the sushi rolls and other dishes, and the sushi was brought out in a reasonable amount of time. Our sushi had nice presentation. Each sushi plate even had a pretty flower garnish. For my rolls, I ordered the Twin Tower specialty roll (shrimp tempura and eel, ~$14) and a fresh yellowtail sushi roll (~$7). Shrimp tempura and eel are two of my favorites, so I was pleasantly surprised to see a roll with both. It also came with imitation crab and avocado. I enjoyed the roll but didn't really taste the eel. The yellowtail roll was good, but fish portions were on the small side. I was tempted to order another roll, but at that point, I was pretty satiated and on principle, I might as well have gone ham and done the AYCE (next time). We ended the meal with fortune cookies. Solid sushi and great service overall - I'm optimistic about the AYCE. Sushi Freedom is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and will surely help you get your sushi fix.
