This has turned into my go-to stop to pick up a fruit tea treat, but I do frequently also get a teriyaki noodle bowl. I haven't yet tried the poke because that is a warm weather food for me but one of their teriyaki bowls lasts me about 3-4 meals. I like both the regular and white meat chicken options. The staff is friendly, they prepare everything pretty fast, and we usually take it all to go but they have a couple tables for dine in if you want though it is very casual. I like the mango fruit tea with lychee, peach also good, and the regular milk tea is my husband's go to which is also good. There is parking in back that is generally easier than parking in front unless you come when most of the other shops in the plaza aren't open. read more

The pizza egg roll was absolutely delicious.... I want one right now actually.... And i just ate it yesterday. So good! The shrimp tempura sushi was a little bland but still okay. I came here for an unplanned lunch stop and I loved it! Little to no wait for my order even with the lunch rush. Lots of people order ahead or for delivery. I really like the restaurant's vibe personally, it seems very laidback and chill (I saw a bunch of people hanging out there once, and their companionship was very wholesome to me). Also, the food doesn't take long, and it does not disappoint. I actually ate my second bowl of ramen there! I felt the need to do a 5-star review to make up for the bad reviews. Food is fast, fresh, a bargain, and delicious. Teriyaki chicken is under $10, and makes an excellent fast meal. This review is for 2 sushi rolls; I'll update this later if I try some other items. Bento Express opened about a year ago, across the street from my neighborhood. Its fast food Japanese, which is new to me. I was late coming home last night and in a pinch for food so I finally gave this spot a try. I got two salmon rolls, the Salmon Lover and the Spicy Salmon Roll, which were $9.95 and $6.95 respectively. Compared to a normal restaurant the pricing is great, especially given that the fish and ingredients were all very fresh. Downside is that neither rolls had much flavor, which is kind of odd considering they were both drizzled with spicy mayo sauce. Usually I don't need soy sauce for a lot of my sushi but in this case I did. New fast hibachi spot that opened up. Figured I'd give it a try. Walked in and it was empty so I was able to order immediately. Ordered the chicken and beef bento box and they were not shy with the portion as you can see from the pictures. It came with spring rolls, pork dumplings, and 4 California rolls for about $13 for everything. Service was very solid. They do charge you an extra 50 cent for extra sauce. My husband and I tried this restaurant/takeout for the first time and we were disappointed with the quality of our Bento boxes, his shrimp, broccoli, noodles and sushi, and mine the same except I had tofu and rice. The spring rolls devoid of anything resembling veggies were simply inedible. Rice was good and the broccoli was also fine. My husband did not care for his shrimp dish which lacked flavor. I went here twice. First time it was a poke bowl with barely any sashimi in it and just meh poke bowl fixings. I write it off and decide to try again. This second time it was a bento box with veggies instead of rice. The California roll was old and soggy (can a Cali roll be soggy, yes it can be!). The gyoza were so old and shriveled that I worried I would get a stomach illness. Ditto for the puny old shrimp in the main bento compartment. I did get a stomach illness the very next day. I rarely use the word disgusting to describe a meal, but honestly everything was disgusting. So sadly I won't be back. Maybe they can turn things around? Not sure. The price point is good but not when they are serving garbage. read more
