    Unagi(eel) bowl

The place is small but cozy. The service is fast when you dine in. Online order takes time. The sushi are fresh and delicious. Unagi (eel) is my favorite.

This sushi is good quality. We ate the dynamite roll, crab tempura roll, sweet potato roll, and California roll. The dynamite roll and crab tempura roll were top quality. With a savory flavor, the dynamite roll had a bit of spice to it which was perfect. The other two rolls were mid-par. If you're in the Olney, MD area I definitely recommend coming here.

This place is hidden but WOW what a gem! They are so quick with service and the food tastes fresh. People flooded in for the dinner rush hour! Very impressed with how quick it was! Very satisfied!

Love the sushi! Very fresh and tasty. Also generously sized. Lots of options. Dined in for the first time recently and it was clean and neat and although appears small on the outside, it is well done and airy inside. Service was quick and parking is easy.

Went into here to try it out, been to plenty of sushi places around the area but hadn't done this one yet. The inside is really nicely put together, the service was friendly too. The sushi entrees we ordered were very good, the beef in the bento box was just ok. Also ordered a wasabi zen tower which was literally a small sushi tower and it was worth a try. Tasty For the not so awesome parts, I ordered one sushi lunch special which was "chefs choice" and 3 of the 6 rolls were cucumber rolls I'm sure plenty of people order vegetarian rolls but I was disappointed. Also, every table had a nice looking bottle of hand sanitizer on it which was nice, although when I used it WOW it is a VERY heavily scented product. It was so strong I went to the bathroom to wash it off. All in all it is a quality place to get sushi from and I would eat there again

Service is fine and food came out quickly, but the quality of the sushi has really changed over the years. This used to be my favorite sushi place in the county. I ordered my regulars--the philly roll and honey California roll, and they were sadly small and sloppy. Avocado was only on half of the honey California, which could barely hold itself together. It was also overly sweet and there was barely any crab in it. Gets the job done but I'd love to see Wasabi Zen return to its glory days.

The sushi here is very high-quality and has lots of options. The tempura batter is light and fluffy and the miso soup is really good.

Really great sashimi, miso soup, Fresh & tasty. Too bad Grub Hub jacked up the total cost for these two items to $52.00.

It was really popular that evening, so the three of got squished at the table meant for two, but we didn't mind. The menu is pretty extensive, offering ramen, udon, tonkatsu, rice bowls, grilled fish sets, and more. We ordered pretty quickly, but with how busy it was, it took a bit for the food to come out CHILEAN SEA BASS - 37 As I scanned through, my eyes immediately fell on the miso sea bass. Despite the price point, I knew I had to go for it because sea bass is hard to find around here. This set came with rice, house salad, miso soup, and cold tofu. The sides were pretty standard -- no compliments, but no complaints either. On the other hand, the sea bass was wonderful. Super creamy and soft, with a strong miso sweetness that packed so much umami upon each bite. I would definitely splurge on this set just for the sea bass. My friend got the ramen and didn't love it, so I'll probably avoid that during future visits. The katsu curry that the table next to us ordered looked and smelled amazing. Overall, food was delicious and homey. I'd definitely recommend!

Absolutely floored by the fatty tuna sushi roll. It is on the pricier side, but honestly, I don't think I even minded. We got the katsu and sashimi combo plus some rolls on the side. The katsu was delicious, and the sashimi was super fresh. The combo also came with the cutest little side dishes, really adorable presentation overall. The staff was also incredibly attentive about my friend's allergies (dairy and nuts). They kept checking in with us and even showed us the sauce ingredients to make sure everything was safe. One of the staff members called my friend "kawaii" after hearing her long list of allergies lol, and honestly, that made my day.

We picked the middle tier option. We thought it was a little pricey but the quality of meats was very good. I only wish they allowed for AYCE options AND à la carte options, like Gyuzo Japanese BBQ in Rockville. It turns out they're owned by the same company. When I looked online, there was no availabilities so decided to chance it and come anyway. I am so glad that I did. Inside looks amazing. Really sets the mood for an enjoyable night. If you like Japanese barbecue, you will love it. They have many different tears that you can purchase. Starting at 68 and going away up to over 100. You can also choose to add unlimited sushi for an additional five dollars. That was definitely worth the add on. They give you full sushi rolls and not just a couple of pieces. They will limit you to a maximum of 15 items you can order and one time. It seems like a lot, but that also includes your appetizers and sizes. There is also a 10 minute cooldown between orders. Overall, the experience is excellent. Not a place you would come frequently but for an occasional night out, it is great. I am interested in coming in one day just to check out the bar scene. As we were leaving, it looked pretty lively over there.

Szechuan Chinese food in a tiny city like Olney is kind of crazy. The owners are really nice. Staff knows us by name now. My favorite dish is the spicy pickled soup with fish. I would've never ordered this, but I took a friend and he did and it now is my favorite. There are so many other good dishes, though as well the Szechuan crispy shrimp is really good. If you're looking for something that's not as hot the crispy beef is really good as well sweet and very mild. Their sushi is pretty good too. Sushi Katana is still my favorite local sushi restaurant.
