Came here for the first time and I am not coming back! My friend wanted to eat here because she said it was good, honestly I would have rather gone to Kane sushi in Lafayette. I order a bento box and a roll and my friend order two rolls, when the rolls came out the server didn't even tell us which rolls came out since two rolls were on one plate and I'm eating my bento box still waiting for my roll. In the end my friend ended up eating my rolls because again the server didn't tell us! When I pointed out the the male server all he did was laugh at us and tell us and I said what's the point of telling us now because my friend ate all the rolls!?! My friend and I had the $19.95 all-you-can-eat lunch on a rainy day, so the place was mostly empty. Our server was good. The food? "Eh." The rolls are OK, but don't expect a lot. If you want a high quantity to price ratio, it's good for that. We ordered seven rolls to start and followed up with five more. My main complaints are: -The fish is cut badly and there's not enough of it. -Most rolls had too much sauce and too much rice. -The rolls aren't well rolled (i.e., tightly), causing the presentation to suffer. -Almost every item on the AYCE was deep-fried/tempura. A nice little gem of a restaurant tucked away in the Rheem Valley area. What brought me here is the name! Sushi Fighter ! But among other things, this place has attention to detail in their food and serving utensils. They use real Ceramic plates, a nice touch from the usual plastic plates I've had in the past. For the first time I drank ginger tea in a restaurant as their house tea in a wooden cup! Clean, fresh food, and service was alright. They were a little abrupt, but forgivable. Their tea was strange with a very strong lemon taste which is not even close to Japanese green or brown tea. Miso soup was luke warm. Our server was not well versed with the menu and we had minor communications problems. The food and service were okay, but will not be in a hurry to return. read more

Wow. I am so impressed. I ordered delivery because I live 2 miles away and am incredibly lazy. I ordered two sashimi combos, an upgraded rainbow roll (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!), and a 49er's roll. I love salmon sashimi and this was some of the best quality I've ever tasted. When the man came to deliver my sushi, I gave him what I thought was $70. About a minute later, I received a knock on the door and there he was telling me that I'd given him an extra $20! I was so grateful.. I should have given him the extra 20. Smallish restaurant tucked away in Moraga next to an independent movie theater. Service was adequate and polite. Sushi was a little pricey but the fish was fresh and the rolls were a good size. I like that they told you how many pieces came with each selection. Crunchy Roll and Incredible rolls came on a large plate and had very nice presentation. Solid sushi place in Moraga. Been here three times and always get good food and service. Sushi is good quality and fresh. Their other selections are also sizable and plentiful. I ordered a chicken udon and a spicy tuna roll for dinner. Both were excellent. There was just enough of each ingredient in the udon and they didn't overdo it on the salt like I've had many other times. The tuna roll was simple and had the right amount of spice. They have specials where you can order 2 rolls for $8 or 3 rolls for $11 (it use to be $10) but it's only for the rolls that are listed in that section of the menu. $11 for three is well worth for the 3 rolls since one individual roll is already $10+! The heater doesn't seem to run and the front door doesn't close all the way which doesn't help the matter. Next time I want sushi I'll remember that I was freezing and will probably drive to Lafayette or Walnut Creek.
