Our waiter Billy was excellent - attentive, and gave us good guidance (and reassurance) on the menu and what we ordered! I started with the cucumber martini, very refreshing. For food, we ordered the crispy tuna tartare, wagyu bruschetta, chiller special roll, and the 2 hand rolls off the specials menu. I want to go back in time and eat it all again. Everything was excellent, but the chiller roll and wagyu bruschetta were at the top of the list. The wagyu bruschetta was the perfect blend of locally made baguette, tender wagyu beef, and drizzled pork butter. The chiller roll (Billy's favorite) was so unique and in the best way. The combination of everything worked together perfectly - including a sliver of lemon on top! Will be a must-go to spot when we are back in town.

The restaurant is located on Main Street and has plenty of space inside since it's two stories. Trish was an excellent host. She was great to talk to and made the whole visit very special for my cousin. We really appreciate her going above and beyond for our group. The sushi here is great. Very fresh and creative options. A member of our group has a sesame allergy and the staff took great care to ensure she had something good (and safe) to eat. I'll definitely be back the next time we visit Park City. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great sushi and service in PC!

The luxury shrimp appetizer was definitely one of our favorites, we had never had something like that before it was mind blowing. The user was also really good too. The crunchy Alaskan roll had great flavors and texture, especially with the crunchy bits. The lemon salmon roll was also great, always love something like that. Overall, don't be scared to get sushi in this mountain town.

I know what you're thinking, and it was on my mind too. Mountain sushi? Will I be sick afterwards?…read moreWell, I was sick with great vibes and happiness after our group apres ski dinner at Oishi Sushi. Their website states that they are Park City's favorite since 1995. It doesn't explicitly say what for, so I'm assuming they mean sushi (Favorite ambiance? Favorite bathrooms? The people need some clarity here). Some cursory research leads to me to believe that this is the only sushi establishment to have existed in Park City since 1995, so they're doing something right. Happy belated 30th, Oishi. You're a Millennial! To be completely transparent, I didn't do any of the ordering here (shoutout to Michael) so I don't know exactly what we had, but I was very impressed with the sushi despite what you would think based on the location. I'm not sure where they're sourcing their fatty tuna from, but each bite was a fluffy delicacy. $16 for 5 gyoza is wild, but I won't hold that against them in these trying times of gyoza-flation. I will say you're better off just ordering more sushi. I was very impressed by the ability and willingness of Oishi to sit and reasonably entertain a group of 14 ravenous adventurers. Our fellow diners were not ready for the volume to be cranked up to a different decibel once the sake bombs came out, though. Relative to other mountain town dining, Oishi deserves 5 stars. A worthy destination for your post-skiing group grub.

The rice in the sushi roll was hard, either because it was undercooked or simply old. We ordered what would be the most expensive Pork Belly Tonkotsu ramen I've ever had. I've had at least 25 bowls of tonkotsu ramen at different restaurants, and unfortunately, the price absolutely did not reflect the taste. Something was off--it wasn't your typical tonkotsu broth. It had kimchi instead of the usual bamboo shoots, while the pork belly seemed to have been BBQ-style and was hard and charred. I'd rate the overall taste of our meal a 6.5/10, while my companion gave it a 5/10.

In terms of attire, it's a mixed bag as with other places here.. we were pretty casual but some were dressed up a bit more. Our server was wonderful, and the food and drink was phenomenal. This was, hands down, the best meal we had in Park City. We started with cocktails. The gin cocktail I had was the perfect combination of floral and citrus and left me wanting more. My husband enjoyed his as well. The wine menu here is insanely overpriced, so next time I'd ask the corkage fee to consider bringing our own bottle. They brought out a bread that was cooked with a Japanese seasoning on it and a side of butter, and it was delicious. The bison was the best thing we ate; incredibly tender and cooked to perfection, if we lived here we would be back often for this. The elk was very good as well, with fresh herbs that helped bring out the flavor. Can't go wrong with either of these dishes but the bison was the star to us. My daughter ordered the kids pasta with butter and parm, and my son ordered the kids chicken fingers which came with potato wedges. Both were a good portion for children. For the sides, we ordered the Japanese sweet potatoes and the fried rice. The sweet potatoes were something different and were tasty but not our favorite or something we would order again. The fried rice with egg was delicious; it was full of sliced garlic and amazingly seasoned, we could not help but finish it all. At the time of the check, our server offered cotton candy for the kids. It was very flavorful and soft. It was a nice finishing touch. We'll definitely be booking this restaurant for our next trip to Park City.

The spicy tuna on top was really flavorful and well balanced, bringing just the right amount of heat without overpowering the dish. The miso soup was also a pleasant surprise -- the portion size was generous and perfect for sharing. It was warm, comforting, and a great start to the meal. We also ordered the karaage. Unfortunately, this was the weakest dish for me. The chicken itself didn't have much flavor, and if it weren't for the dipping sauce it would have been quite bland. It was also made with dark meat, which I'm personally not a big fan of. The hamachi nigiri was fantastic. The fish tasted incredibly fresh and clean, and the simplicity of the dish really let the quality of the hamachi shine. Another standout was the Wasatch roll -- a true dynamite roll with lots of flavor and fresh hamachi. Every bite had great texture and balance. To end the meal, everyone was given a small bowl of cotton candy, which was a fun and unexpected touch. I hadn't had cotton candy in years, and it was a playful way to finish the night. Overall, there were some great highlights, especially the sushi and fresh fish, and the experience had a lively and enjoyable atmosphere.

For reheated frozen food and needing to bus your own dishes, I was a little disappointed. Service was friendly! We came right when they opened and paid almost $300 for a meal for 6 people. The clam chowder (5/5) was flavorful and well-salted, and chockful of potatoes and meat. The bisque (3/5) was not nearly as flavorful or delicious-- it needed way more salt and creaminess. We each had either a lobster roll or lobster sliders as our main entree, but those were just pretty average lobster rolls. I think they could've been more buttery and salty. The salad that we got was really good! Overall, would not come back but happy to at least try Freshie's.
