We really enjoyed our lunch here after a disappointing day on the slopes - in fact, it was the highlight of our day! We started with a mule which was great. The had the spicy edamame and the gyoza - both were great. The edamame wasn't spicy at all but had a delicious sauce on them. My husband and I both had ramen and it was also to die for. Only complaint was they forgot my egg, but the quickly brought me one when I asked. Service was great. The spot was so intriguing and the food was excellent!

Hot pot with tofu

This place was such a fun spot to go to and is totally not a normal restaurant because it's an experience. I went with a few friends and my kids where we all got at one table(8 people). My friends and I all ordered the hot pot where it comes with the broth and then you cook your veggies and choice of meat with a side of rice and you cook it on a heat table where you eat. The one downside is that your food is boiling in front of you so it will splash. So be careful! But the food was so fun to make and I can now officially say I cooked my food at a restaurant. My son ordered the ramen which was COMPLETELY flavorless and instant chicken ramen at home is better. Overall this place was pretty good and I'd come back next time I visit!

Looked for nearby places to eat and this place popped up. There were 4 of us so we ordered 3 ten oz portions of meat and got 3 broths. There was more than enough food for us. We ordered the rib eye, American wagyu and pork. Got the traditional and tonkatsu broth. The traditional broth didn't have much flavor so we scooped some tonkatsu broth in it which made it taste much better. Also added chili oil to it. As you cooked the meats and veggies in it both broths became more flavorful. It's super warm in the restaurant with most people ordering their own broth. Prices are high with all their bowls, pho and ramen being almost $30 each and the shabu potentially costing a lot more pp if you order expensive meats. Service was decent and we walked away full.

Chicken karaage

My sister and I went around 7:30 on a Thursday night and were the only ones in the restaurant. The restaurant is bright and clean, and has plenty of seating. The artwork is unique and the carvings in the tables are beautiful. We ordered the chicken karaage for an appetizer. I liked that it was lightly breaded and came with different dipping sauces. My sister ordered the tonkotsu ramen and I ordered the steak and kimchi ramen. She said the chashu pork was very tender and loved the broth. For the steak and kimchi ramen, the steak is thinly sliced, the broth wasn't oily and has good spice to it. Towards the end the broth got really salty due to the kimchi. The ajitama egg was cooked perfectly! The price is more than other places but it's worth the big portions you get. Service was good and you pay with a QR code. There's some street parking but it fills up quick. There's also a parking garage southeast of the restaurant. I'm not sure if they validate parking though. I'd like to come back and try their shabu.

Gyoza and old fashion

I really enjoyed meeting the owner and hearing him share parts of his story. His recipes and menu selections were top notch. I had the tofu Pho, Tai Hoi ramen, veggie gyoza, old fashioned and the Tokyo sunset (cocktail). There was always a steady flow of traffic, but nothing too crazy. Mostly quiet, relaxing and easy to enjoy your meal.

One of the more authentic shabu places I have been to in Utah. I love that they have 3 different broth options and a great veggie plate. Probably my only issue with this place as they charge four dollars for an extra bowl of rice, which seems a little expensive. And I wish they gave a little bit bigger sauce, bowls to dip your meat and veggies in after you cook them. But the atmosphere is really awesome. I like that you get your own individual hot pot burner and the staff is very attentive. This is a place I always go when I go to Canyon's.

Hats off the the team here at Kuchu Shabu- especially the husband and wife duo keeping this place running like a well oiled machine. We had a lovely meal here while staying nearby. We loved getting to try local elk in the shabu as well. They were hand slicing the meat right in front of us and it did not disappoint in a savory pork broth. This was the perfect meal after a long day traveling and snowboarding. This place gets busy during peak times so go early before they close. We loved the atmosphere and it was very cozy just the two of us at the bar!

I'm not sure why this is rated so high. The service was nice but the shabu is definitely not flavorful. I had the traditional and it tastes like unflavored sink water and they put broccoli in it and they served it with udon noodles. If you're looking for Asian shabu this is not the place.

Super cool little spot right next to Hilton resort we were staying at. Loved the atmosphere and concept of the tables for the specialty, Hot pots. Hostess was a stick in the mud but our waitress was friendly. Food was DELICIOUS! They don't skimp on the protein in the Ramen and overall quick service.

For my love of Pho, everything noodles and soup I came across the absolute best Pho I ever tasted. The broth is rich and flavorful, perfect temperature, perfect size, the beef cut & taste is top notch. The menu is not overwhelming just enough to give you options. The restaurant has hot plates to cook your own bowls so it's great for a family, group setting. Clean open space with a funky ski decor. The staff is absolutely amazing and accommodating, on night we came just as they were closing and they took us in. The husband and wife owners were amazing, friendly conversations, accommodating and they were right there with the staff making sure customers were doing great. Honestly the best food option in the village warm PHO is definitely a healing agent after a long day on the slops or just for the weather. Note I had Pho and ramen here 4 times in a week so this must tell you how good the experience.

Shabu Shabu the Japanese version of Hot Pot, is very tasty and as yummy as its counterpart. We will start with what I enjoyed. I enjoyed the service, Travis was fantastic. Not only did he bring the vibes he brought the experience! Fun to chat and interact with. The next thing I enjoyed was the ambiance, the background music was good level and didn't interrupt conversation. Even being close to others you were still able to have your own conversation and hear yours. The next thing was the food! Very good and tasty but that leads me to the only thing I didn't like. The broth was very salty but it was good. It was better after mixing the chili oil to make it "spicier" (I'm a fiend for spice) I would definitely come here again. Maybe next time in Park City Utah

This is our favorite spot in all of Park City! We discovered it during our stay and loved it so much that we returned two nights in a row! The service was outstanding, even though the restaurant was bustling both times we visited. We arrived early to get on the waitlist and enjoyed drinks at a nearby bar while we waited. The quality of the meat was exceptional. My fiancé and I are huge fans of shabu and can be quite picky, but this place exceeded our expectations. The meat was top-notch, and the broth was so flavorful that I found myself drinking it straight--something I've never done before! The selection of sauces was the perfect finishing touch. Although it was busy, it wasn't overly loud, and the establishment was very clean. It's the ideal place to unwind after a long day in the snow! Our server Rafa was amazing too we had him both nights and enjoyed out conversations with him!! We can't wait to go back!!!

Seared tuna that is water logged and truly disgusting!!
Amila K.

We ordered a take out here as I also livinh in the building. We ordered a seared tuna. Upon cutting it the tuna was bright red and I was looking forward to it. As we were doing family style everybody who bit in to it was greeted with water squirting out the flesh of the tuna. Either it was cooked frozen and was water logged or it had been injected with water to keep it moist? Truly disgusting. If we were at the restaurant it would definitely have been returned. Maybe that's why the pass this disgusting piece of tuna to take out orders. I have warned all visitors of this.

The restaurant is located on Main Street and has plenty of space inside since it's two stories. Trish was an excellent host. She was great to talk to and made the whole visit very special for my cousin. We really appreciate her going above and beyond for our group. The sushi here is great. Very fresh and creative options. A member of our group has a sesame allergy and the staff took great care to ensure she had something good (and safe) to eat. I'll definitely be back the next time we visit Park City. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great sushi and service in PC!

Sushi is over all solid - but don't expect the variety that you can find on the coasts. Nigiri are generously cut so keep that in mind. They also usually come two pieces to an order. The Black Cod is always good - but also comes with rice and bok choy with a spicy sauce. It's pretty easy to over order here. Chicken Kaarage are also a favorite dish of ours - it's hard to beat fried chicken. Staff is friendly and helpful. "Tatami" style seating is available in the back but we prefer the tables or bench booths.

In terms of attire, it's a mixed bag as with other places here.. we were pretty casual but some were dressed up a bit more. Our server was wonderful, and the food and drink was phenomenal. This was, hands down, the best meal we had in Park City. We started with cocktails. The gin cocktail I had was the perfect combination of floral and citrus and left me wanting more. My husband enjoyed his as well. The wine menu here is insanely overpriced, so next time I'd ask the corkage fee to consider bringing our own bottle. They brought out a bread that was cooked with a Japanese seasoning on it and a side of butter, and it was delicious. The bison was the best thing we ate; incredibly tender and cooked to perfection, if we lived here we would be back often for this. The elk was very good as well, with fresh herbs that helped bring out the flavor. Can't go wrong with either of these dishes but the bison was the star to us. My daughter ordered the kids pasta with butter and parm, and my son ordered the kids chicken fingers which came with potato wedges. Both were a good portion for children. For the sides, we ordered the Japanese sweet potatoes and the fried rice. The sweet potatoes were something different and were tasty but not our favorite or something we would order again. The fried rice with egg was delicious; it was full of sliced garlic and amazingly seasoned, we could not help but finish it all. At the time of the check, our server offered cotton candy for the kids. It was very flavorful and soft. It was a nice finishing touch. We'll definitely be booking this restaurant for our next trip to Park City.

We came in for my wife's birthday with our two young sons, had an OpenTable reservation noting the occasion, and spent over $300 on dinner. Unfortunately, the service throughout the evening felt disorganized and inattentive. Courses were delayed, one of our children's meals was forgotten until we reminded staff, dessert was brought out incorrectly, drinks and the check took a very long time, and small details were repeatedly missed. What made it harder was that this was meant to be a special family celebration. In past visits, the restaurant had gone out of its way to make things feel welcoming for kids, even offering cotton candy as a fun surprise. Our children saw it being given to nearby tables throughout the night, but we were never offered it, despite being there for a birthday dinner. It may sound minor, but after an already long and frustrating evening, it really affected the experience for our kids. No one was rude, and the food itself was good. This felt more like a breakdown in attentiveness and overall service execution. We like KITA and want to continue supporting it, but for the price point and reputation, this visit simply missed the mark.
