Love a good Bento box and this one ranks high on my list.

I'm always looking for a good Bento Box and Shoyu over delivers at a great price especially in Park City The small restaurant reminds me of the locally owned spots that I have discovered in Japan. So authentic and delicious!

Gyoza. Frozen, pre made zero flavor.

The only possible reason this has higher ratings is because everyone rating this place is native to Utah. Utah hands down is one of worst states in the country for a good culinary experience. A good restaurant here is an average restaurant anywhere else. With that said, I came in with the bar very very low. Hands down the worst food I have ever had here and maybe ever. I get gyoza about once a week. It's hard not to be at least okay. I'm positive they do not make their own. Most store bought ones are 5 star compared. Zero flavor, says pork but saw no meat, definitely the lowest quality possible and possible msg. Doesn't come with sauce either ...what? Veggie roll. They offer two. That's it. Really guys? You can't have a cucumber avocado roll even? The lowest Effort ever and they will not make any exceptions on anything or make any custom rolls... states right on the menu. Know why... because they don't have a clue what they are doing and have zero passion for quality. The place reads "I give up" everywhere. Tiles missing on the floor, grungy ... weird ambiance. The only thing I kept thinking is they are either going under or they are totally that horribly ran place on restaurant rescue shows. I do a ton of reviews here on Yelp. Rarely negative ones. I have never, ever seen a more grossly over rated place. The one star is because my server was super nice, I actually feel bad for him. Plus Yelp doesn't allow for zero stars

This place is amazing!! Very small inside with a great intimate feel. The staff is so friendly and the food was quickly served to us. We were so happy we decided to come here. It's some of the best sushi I've ever had.

Second roll is the Vegas, fourth roll is the rainbow

My best friend lives in Heber. I live in Sandy. We both love sushi, so we met here, neither of us having tried ti before. We came right when it opened, so we were basically the only ones there. It is a tiny, tiny little place, with a capacity of maybe 20 at the most? I got the Vegas roll and the rainbow roll. They were really good, and I think my friend liked her rolls too. Our rolls were served all on the same plate at the same time, which was a little odd compared to my other sushi dining experiences. We ordered separate rolls and weren't really sharing them. The inside of the restaurant was a little bit dark, which felt off putting with so much daylight left. I could use some more light, for sure, maybe via the decor or paint? Brighten it up a little! Shoyu was a little bit pricier than what I normally pay, but it's also Park City, right? Overall, if I were in the neighborhood and needed some sushi, I'd come back.

We had dinner at this family restaurant which owns by a couple last evening. They have one of the best sushi we ever had and the best sushi in town . The owners were nice and friendly even though they were busy preparing the sushi. The servers were also nice and helpful. The place is cozy and located only 6 mins drive from Utah Olympic Park. Highly recommended.

"Grilled tuna" I waited 90 minutes for. Yes, it is completely raw. I asked for "rare". Got what I asked for I guess.

The restaurant is located on Main Street and has plenty of space inside since it's two stories. Trish was an excellent host. She was great to talk to and made the whole visit very special for my cousin. We really appreciate her going above and beyond for our group. The sushi here is great. Very fresh and creative options. A member of our group has a sesame allergy and the staff took great care to ensure she had something good (and safe) to eat. I'll definitely be back the next time we visit Park City. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great sushi and service in PC!

Sushi is over all solid - but don't expect the variety that you can find on the coasts. Nigiri are generously cut so keep that in mind. They also usually come two pieces to an order. The Black Cod is always good - but also comes with rice and bok choy with a spicy sauce. It's pretty easy to over order here. Chicken Kaarage are also a favorite dish of ours - it's hard to beat fried chicken. Staff is friendly and helpful. "Tatami" style seating is available in the back but we prefer the tables or bench booths.

In terms of attire, it's a mixed bag as with other places here.. we were pretty casual but some were dressed up a bit more. Our server was wonderful, and the food and drink was phenomenal. This was, hands down, the best meal we had in Park City. We started with cocktails. The gin cocktail I had was the perfect combination of floral and citrus and left me wanting more. My husband enjoyed his as well. The wine menu here is insanely overpriced, so next time I'd ask the corkage fee to consider bringing our own bottle. They brought out a bread that was cooked with a Japanese seasoning on it and a side of butter, and it was delicious. The bison was the best thing we ate; incredibly tender and cooked to perfection, if we lived here we would be back often for this. The elk was very good as well, with fresh herbs that helped bring out the flavor. Can't go wrong with either of these dishes but the bison was the star to us. My daughter ordered the kids pasta with butter and parm, and my son ordered the kids chicken fingers which came with potato wedges. Both were a good portion for children. For the sides, we ordered the Japanese sweet potatoes and the fried rice. The sweet potatoes were something different and were tasty but not our favorite or something we would order again. The fried rice with egg was delicious; it was full of sliced garlic and amazingly seasoned, we could not help but finish it all. At the time of the check, our server offered cotton candy for the kids. It was very flavorful and soft. It was a nice finishing touch. We'll definitely be booking this restaurant for our next trip to Park City.

We came in for my wife's birthday with our two young sons, had an OpenTable reservation noting the occasion, and spent over $300 on dinner. Unfortunately, the service throughout the evening felt disorganized and inattentive. Courses were delayed, one of our children's meals was forgotten until we reminded staff, dessert was brought out incorrectly, drinks and the check took a very long time, and small details were repeatedly missed. What made it harder was that this was meant to be a special family celebration. In past visits, the restaurant had gone out of its way to make things feel welcoming for kids, even offering cotton candy as a fun surprise. Our children saw it being given to nearby tables throughout the night, but we were never offered it, despite being there for a birthday dinner. It may sound minor, but after an already long and frustrating evening, it really affected the experience for our kids. No one was rude, and the food itself was good. This felt more like a breakdown in attentiveness and overall service execution. We like KITA and want to continue supporting it, but for the price point and reputation, this visit simply missed the mark.

I know what you're thinking, and it was on my mind too. Mountain sushi? Will I be sick afterwards?…read moreWell, I was sick with great vibes and happiness after our group apres ski dinner at Oishi Sushi. Their website states that they are Park City's favorite since 1995. It doesn't explicitly say what for, so I'm assuming they mean sushi (Favorite ambiance? Favorite bathrooms? The people need some clarity here). Some cursory research leads to me to believe that this is the only sushi establishment to have existed in Park City since 1995, so they're doing something right. Happy belated 30th, Oishi. You're a Millennial! To be completely transparent, I didn't do any of the ordering here (shoutout to Michael) so I don't know exactly what we had, but I was very impressed with the sushi despite what you would think based on the location. I'm not sure where they're sourcing their fatty tuna from, but each bite was a fluffy delicacy. $16 for 5 gyoza is wild, but I won't hold that against them in these trying times of gyoza-flation. I will say you're better off just ordering more sushi. I was very impressed by the ability and willingness of Oishi to sit and reasonably entertain a group of 14 ravenous adventurers. Our fellow diners were not ready for the volume to be cranked up to a different decibel once the sake bombs came out, though. Relative to other mountain town dining, Oishi deserves 5 stars. A worthy destination for your post-skiing group grub.
