This would be a 4 star+ restaurant in any town. It's the best restaurant in Park City and a 5 star here. Great food and loved the ambience and live music. Clearly this is not a secret and it super popular, make sure to get a reservation.

Amazing restaurant. The staff is super attentive, the atmosphere and ambience are wonderful, and the food was absolutely amazing. It is expensive, but it's also in downtown Park city - and I would consider a five star restaurant. This is the type of place you go for an amazing date night or special occasion.

Lobster bisque = fire Scallop appetizer = fire but small Halibut = a smidge dry Ambiance was solid, with live music on guitar. White table cloth fine dining.

I'll be honest, we ordered half the menu and it was a couple weeks ago so I don't remember everything exactly, but what I DO remember is that everything was AMAZING. I'm hungry just thinking about it. From the apps to the drinks to the service to the holiday ambiance it was terrific start to finish and delicious with every bite. It's one of those meals that makes you wish you had infinite money so you could always get the privilege of eating food this good. I don't have one clear front runner standout but those crispy bites with the green sauce I recall being one of the things we needed to get more of. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

As always, fantastic service with a smile and absolutely amazing food. Love the second story views of Main Street and the live music. Highly recommend!

Best meal we had in Park City. Not knowing how popular the place was, I booked our reservation two weeks out and was only able to secure a 9pm spot. Being from the east coast and tired from skiing, we would not have enjoyed our meal so we cancelled. Read we could show up as a walk in and did, ending up in the bar, which was fine. Shared a pear salad, then had the bone in filet, and trout. Meals were excellent. Finished with the molten chocolate cake. No chance it was from restaurant depot. Fish, our server, was fun. We'll be back next year and book earlier.

Hand, Cut Buffalo Tartare

Incredible Valentine's Day dinner. We started with the Buffalo Tartare, which was delicious. My boyfriend said he thought it was the best tartare he's had. For our entree, we split the Trio of Wild Game and Seared Scallop and Shrimp Scampi. The trio came with Buffalo, Venison and Elk - which was a fun switch from the typical meats we eat. Both entrees were amazing. Our server was awesome, and didn't skip a beat from scraping food off the table when we were in the bathroom to refilling our wine. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice dinner in Park City.

For our 25th Anniversary Dinner we decided on a PC classic Riverhorse on Main. What an amazing restaurant if you have never been. It's a large upstairs venue overlooking Main Street Park City and has been around for years. Our server Devon was so friendly, knowledgeable, informative and took great care of us while we were there. Great suggestions from the menu with background on menu items and was spot on. She suggested the Thai Cauliflower saying she could eat it everyday and she wasn't wrong, I wish there was more of it. 5/5 She mentioned the Halibut as a restaurant staple and the 7 oz filet, saying it was even better than the 10 oz bone in filet as the farm that raises this beef just does it right. And again she was spot on, I'm a big filet fan, have had a lot of them, this was absolutely one of the best! Truly melt in your mouth and so flavorful. My wife said it was the best steak she had ever had! And the sides were amazing too, bacon wrapped asparagus, au gratin potatoes that had a little crunch on top, not sure how, but amazing! 5/5 more if I could. And I had the Wild-game Trio again so yummy with three different items with a different pairings, 3oz buffalo filet in a port reduction, 3oz Elk with froie gras butter, 3oz venison with a fruity huckleberry finish. Truffle twice baked potatoes and asparagus. Everything was excellent. 5/5 Sunshine mocktail that was so good and smooth, don't laugh, mocktails can be smooth too, and passion fruit lemonade. 5/5 Left full, content and very pleased with our evening. Only downside was I requested a table near the live music but the musician packed up and left right when we got there at 8:15 for our reservation and the restaurant is quite loud. Also expect to pay for the experience. If you've made it this far one last tidbit at 10pm every night a siren goes off on Main Street and a similar signal has been going off for124 years since 1901. Ask me why.

Lobster bisque (half portion) - so good!

The steak here was so good. I also enjoyed the lobster bisque, but everything was good. The ambience was lively and social. I enjoyed our waiter so much. She was a good time and helped us get the right items.

One of the worst places I have ever eaten at. The shrimp was too salty, and they served wine with too much sediment in it (for over $60)! They also overcharged us and made us $95 per person including kids that were 7, 6 and 4! Watch your check and double check everything this place was not worth the hype! Will NEVER go there again! And I hope you don't either! Also note this on Christmas and they overcharged us!!! Unbelievable!

October 2025; food was amazing. Great views of Main Street! Service was good and ambiance was lovely. Lots of seafood and meat small plate and entree options. Would return here; Romantic place for dinner!

Herb Roasted Rocky Mountain Rack of Lamb. Duo

Good but honestly not my favorite fine dining on Main Street (that would go to Prime.) the service was great but the food is nothing special to me. The presentation is very nice though. I enjoyed how the tartare came with bone marrow. I had the rack of lamb which was good but not great. My husband had the wild game trio. He said it was fun to try but not a dish he'd be eager to order again. Overall I'd say river house has a fantastic view of Main Street and the best ambiance on main but the food is overrated for what it is.

This "thanksgiving" food was something else. Subpar is very kind. The prime rib was disgusting and raw. The turkey and very little mash potatoes that were available were dry and did not taste good. I wouldn't complain if it was $100 for my family of 5, but it cost $1000. For that price tag, I expect much better food, and not only atmosphere to carry the experience. Waitress was complaining and fighting with each other right next to our table as well. Not our waitress, but other workers. We've been coming to eat and stay at stein for years now. After today I will not come back for brunch or to stay here. Completely underwhelmed and unhappy with the entire experience.

Our waitress was very attentive. We were just in for a girls lunch and talk and she was great about getting our orders, but also giving us gabby women time to talk and catch up. The food was delicious. My friends raved about their specialty coffee drinks; so if that's your jam - enjoy! I got a salad starter and the blackened cod banh mi sandwich. The salad was a great size for a starter; not shareable, good size for one. The cod had a good flavor but the sandwich was a little too much bread for me, so I eat one half with bread and the second half I just eat the inners. The fries were good and I shared them with my friends. I'd love to ski into this place in the winter! Highly recommended during your summer or fall hikes too.

The hamachi was so fresh, and the duck confit Caesar salad was fantastic! I did a starter size of the parpadelle as my main, and it was the perfect amount of food, as I had a bite each of my dining companions Wagyu steak, Bavette steak and the lamb "New York." My husband loved his lamb so much (he doesn't get it at home because I don't like lamb) but we all agreed that the Bavette was the winner. Making the evening even more perfect was our server Victor. He was amazing! So fun and friendly, and it was like he could read our minds & would bring things we were talking about without us asking. We joked that there must be a microphone hidden at the table. It's a great room too, with windows into the kitchen and beautiful decor. Special shoutout to our waiter, Alex, who was not only friendly and attentive, but truly knew the menu inside and out. He also was happy to help with alternatives for those of us who had allergy or food preferences. The ambiance here is nice - very simple and warm but still felt upscale. Given there were 8 of us, I can't say I remember everyone's orders but below is what my partner and I ordered to share: Pappardelle Yellowtail Carpaccio Crispy Duck Caesar Wagyu Strip Loin All of the food was cooked or prepared beautifully. My biggest complaint was portion size, as the dishes are pretty pricey. But hey, you're paying for quality, not quantity. The group split a handful of the desserts, and while I can't remember the names of what the table ordered, I do have photos below. I personally ordered the persimmon sorbet which I was a huge fan of. One final note - our group stayed LATE yapping. Like closed down the joint and not a single person tried to rush us out. I'm so appreciative of their kindness and willingness to let us finish out our evening when I know for sure we overstayed our welcome. I'm honestly surprised this place isn't hyped more on social media but I'd absolutely recommend if in the area. 8/8 of us agreed it was the best meal we had while in town.
