    Sushi and sashimi lunch
    Lindsey K.

My favorite neighborhood sushi place. Usually come here for hh or lunch specials which are a great deal. Staff are always efficient and the spot is convenient on Tennyson. Grab a table by the street to people watch or at the sushi bar to chef watch.

Cheap sushi, it's good for the low prices but definitely isn't gourmet. Restaurant was totally empty when I stopped here for lunch after a walk through the Highlands. Service was a little slow. We all had the lunch special with 3 sushi rolls, soup, and salad. I was not a fan of the salad dressing though. Definitely works in a pinch! I wouldn't go out of my way to come back by any means.

We had the lunch special today and it was a great deal. $15 for LOTS of food, including the sushi, salad, and soup. The servers are always so nice here, and the experience is always great. This is a cute little place located on the very fun Tennyson Street. Good stop to make if in the area. I only give it a 4 because I think they could up the atmosphere a little and perhaps have a few more specials during the week, but it is like a 4.4 and rounding down. Definitely recommend and see you there.

Cucumber Roll, nigiri, portobello and eggplant sushi.

Stopped in for a quick lunch break on Monday while finishing up moving. They have lunch specials that looked interesting but there weren't a lot of veggie rolls that looked appealing because I can't digest avocado and veggie sushi options are less common. I got a cucumber roll and some of the veggie sushi the nigri, mushroom and eggplant. I would love to see more options but these were pretty good and made a nice light lunch for a hot day. The service was very good and the food was prepared well. Veggies are less expensive than fish but just these four small items made with simple ingredients were $20. However the lunch specials did seem to be a better value cost wise. I would probably choose from those next time.

Possibly one of the worst sushis I've ever tasted which is a real shame because the service and presentation was wonderful. But despite a good exterior impression, turns out it really is the inside that counts and even though salmon sashimi is my favorite, turns out they only had smoked salmon that you can buy from Costco for your bagel except it was a trillion times saltier than I expected. I have nothing against smoked salmon, but I expect sushi salmon when I go to a sushi restaurant. Ever had a mega salty Philadelphia roll? This is the place to go for that. I've never been so disappointed. The rest of the rolls were either flavorless or unmemorable.

Great place to grab economical sushi. It's not high quality. Service is meh. For the price and portion you get it serves its place Grabbed a crunchy dinner set ($20). Which came with more than enough food. Soup, salad and 20 pieces of sushi. We also grabbed two other rolls black dragon and something else. Again flavors are meh but it gets the job done! I would not say this is the freshest sushi. You're land locked in Colorado what else do you expect ? Lower your expectations and you'll be happy you stopped by

I love this place! It doesn't look like much from the outside but it's so cozy inside! The Spicy Crispy Tuna is to die for! Give this place a shot for sure! They can be hit or miss but that's like any place.

Do not order take out from here. It's my birthday and their menu looked so good! Around 7:30pm I ordered $70 of takeout and when the driver arrived to pick it up they stated they made it already and the food was picked up earlier. This is false. They were just trying to close early tonight it seems.

Good sushi and decent happy hour. Service is always good and staff is very pleasant. Nothing wows me about this place unfortunately. I want to like it so much because the service really is top notch and the ambiance is good, but the food is what I would expect from a sushi bar, nothing more. Happy hour is a dollar off regular rolls, which makes the California Roll Price Index comparison somewhat favorable at $4.50. The rolls are slightly on the smaller side, but they are not rice heavy, which I appreciate. I haven't had their nigiri, primarily because I think it is a little overpriced and really good nigiri is hard to come by in Denver. Definitely worth going to, but I'd only go back if I was in the area, like I happened to be this time around. There are many better valued sushi restaurants all over Denver imo.

The quality of the fish is good for sure, but the price is far too expensive, especially when compared to Temaki Den, which both has more options and better quality for lower price. While I understand other good reviews Kin Nori Bar receive, it's just not a place I would return to or recommend simply because it's too expensive for what you get. Taking price out of the consideration, I would give Kin Nori 4/5. However, considering the price, the competition, and the limited options, unfortunately, I can only give a 3/5.

What made it more frustrating was the lack of service. No one checked on us, and we had to flag down another staff member just to get the check. Our server never came by. It was also surprising because the restaurant wasn't busy. There were open bar seats and plenty of open tables, so I'd be nervous to see what the experience is like on a busy night. I grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered sushi along with a seaweed salad and an Old Fashioned. The food was actually really good--fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot after the show. I brought my girlfriend here for dinner, and by the end of the night we were both genuinely blown away. We opted for the omakase experience, and it turned out to be one of the best dining decisions we've made in a long time. Every course felt intentional, balanced, and creative. Nothing was just "good," everything had that extra layer of thought and execution that separates a solid meal from a memorable one. Each dish built on the last, showcasing a range of flavors and techniques that you don't come across often, especially in the Denver area. You can tell there's a real passion behind the menu. The cocktails deserve their own shoutout. They were playful, well-crafted, and unique without being gimmicky. It's exactly what you hope for when you're pairing drinks with a high-level meal. What I appreciated most was how this place manages to hit both ends of the spectrum. You could come here for a casual night out and have an amazing time, or you could treat it as a full-on dining experience and leave completely impressed. That kind of versatility is rare, and they pull it off effortlessly. It's honestly no surprise they've earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand, it's well deserved.

When I arrived there on time, I could see my order was waiting on the shelf. However, the hostess told me it was missing one item, an appetizer and she'd bring it to me once the kitchen finished everything. That took 15 minutes. Second, by the time I got home to eat the meal it was cold. Of course, it had been sitting for at least 15 minutes and then I had a 15-minute drive, so that meant reheating everything. Third, the kitchen was sloppy or just does not care. The plastic containers that should have held the noodle broth were not sealed properly and the liquid spilt inside the paper bag. That meant the chop sticks had to be washed. ...and the containers wiped off before the noodles and broth could be reheated. ...and then I had to get a sponge and towel to go outside to clean off my car seat where the excess broth ended up. Overall, the food was good, but when I have to spend that much effort -- waiting, reheating, and cleaning up after Glo Noodle House, it is not worth going there again.
