So I paid $150 at the time of service. But the office still put the visit through insurance, which paid $183. Although this may have been a simple mistake, I've been double billed enough time by other medical providers to wonder if this is becoming a widespread practice. Anyway, when I called A + and asked them to reverse the insurance charge, they said they could not. Instead. They refunded me, but only $110. Even though the insurance company paid MORE than I was asked to pay, A + refused to fully refund the amount, saying I had to pay $40 for fluoride. I am incensed.

Her and her staff are amazing. Can't say enough about how pleased we are to have found this practice. They instilled confidence in me. Dr. Millkey was thorough - she discussed the X-rays with me and the few minor problems the kids had. She took the time necessary to go through the details. The staff is remarkable in communicating and in scheduling the appointments. Our kids love her and actually enjoy seeing their dentist.

When we arrived, they had run my insurance and they gave me a printed detailed list of all costs for a basic first exam, X-rays and cleaning, including what was covered by my insurance, before I even thought to ask. The hygentist was wonderful and very patient with my son. He was a little anxious and she did a great job of calming him down. I was also really impressed with Dr. Millkey. She had to give me bad news about a severe cavity in one of my son's permanent teeth. But she explained the options clearly - even suggesting we get a quote from our oral surgeon in case it might save us money. She has a wonderful bedside manner, saving the bad news for me alone while my son was distracted picking out a small toy with one of her staff members. When we walked in, there was a dry erase board that had every child's name for the day written on it, welcoming them. I thought it was so nice that someone would take the time to do that every day. The waiting room has a very relaxing atmosphere even with the video games. When we were called to go back, I was amazed at how beautiful the office is. There are floor to ceiling windows overlooking pretty trees, and an aquarium which my son loved. They were so sweet and patient with him. There are tv's in the ceiling which are helpful for keeping kids laid back. They let him sit up and talk whenever he wanted to. I was embarrassed when they told me he had a few cavities, but they assured me that it was perfectly normal and I shouldn't feel guilty. At the end, each kid gets to pick out a little toy to take home. We're actually looking forward to going back for the fillings :) Special note* Having no reviews to go off of, I chose this place because they were one of the few that accepted my son's medicaid insurance. I briefly FaceTimed him so he could see her during the visit. The dentist abruptly said, "No FaceTime," in a curt manner. I completely understand if that is the office policy, but the delivery felt rude and there was no explanation given. The second situation happened during another visit when Dr. Z told me I could not be rude to his staff. I was very confused because I had no idea what he was referring to, and I told him that I hadn't been rude. He responded with something along the lines of, "Come on, I know you were." Shortly after, a staff member came into the room and explained that they had mistaken me for a different parent. Dr. Z did apologize, and I understand that mistakes happen, but the interaction added to the overall feeling that the environment was not very warm or welcoming. Because of these experiences, we have not returned.

The facility is clean but it's located in an office building so parking can be challenging (might need to give yourself some time to park, plus it's all paid parking). My kiddo has never complained coming here and actually enjoys chatting with the staff and doctors. He especially enjoys getting a surprise gift from the vending machine after his visit. Not sure if they are in network for any insurance providers (not for me) but they do file on my behalf after I pay the full balance upfront. They introduce all the tools before they're used. They have a TV overhead so the child is occupied. It was nice that they ask if the TV can be turned on for your child. Dr. Cassinelli came in to examine my son and built an immediate rapport with us. She also was very friendly as well as informative.
