Dr. Hill and Jennifer have treated me and my kids (furry and human) like family, dating back to my time bringing Triscuit the emotional-support lap pupper to my dental work and cleanings. Barb, my longtime hygienist, recently left the practice but it's still great. highly recommended! read more

Chip Hill DDS runs a tight crew. Everyone there is very friendly and quick. They are very good.

I can't say enough great things about the staff here. Jennifer at the front desk is an absolute joy. She is so friendly and sweet and makes you feel welcome every single time, even when scheduling an appointment over the phone. She is so personable and genuinely gets along with every person who walks through that door. Hygienists are also very friendly and efficient. You know how sometimes, they like to poke with sharp objects at your gums and you start to wince, bleed, and all that? I haven't had many issues with that here. They are up to date on all the modern tools and technology. It really is amazing how thorough and great they are. Now, unfortunately, I like to talk, but with tools in my mouth, I can't really hold a conversation. Just lots of "uh huh! and uh uhs" lol Lastly, Dr. Hill is fantastic. He will listen to your concerns and provide whatever options he thinks is best for your situation. He is patient with his patients, as I can attest (story time below). Oh yea, the office got a MAJOR upgrade. They expanded their office and is sooo nice, modern, and spacious now. So when you exit the elevator, make sure you go left instead of right. The waiting area has PLENTY of room now. It's incredible. - Story time? Okay, I went through the process of sure smile aligners. They are very thorough and will show you what your teeth will look like at the end of the process. You will also be able to get refinements at the end if you are not completely satisfied with your smile. They will walk you through what to expect every step of the way and will happily answer any and all questions. Well since we were in the pandemic, I figured, most people won't be gathering for dinners, and most people won't see my smile throughout the process, unless it's on a zoom call or face time. Perfect time to get these right? 10/10 do not regret my decision at all. I finished earlier this year, refinements included. Compared to what it was before, I freakin LOVE my smile. The end result would make any person happy. And it did. BUT... now that people are getting back to taking group photos, I started to notice some very minor things that made me personally feel self conscious when smiling. It's one tooth and even my bf was like "I think your smile looks great!" He and others don't see what I see. As a designer, I literally deal with making things pixel perfect every day so I notice even the smallest things. It's a blessing and a curse. Even though it's been 3-ish months since I finished, I came in and asked Dr. Hill what my options are. He joked that they work in millimeters so he fully understands and sees what I see. He offered a few solutions, but the one we agreed to was getting more refinements. I appreciate that they didn't groan at me nitpicking over the smallest thing. They were patient with me and I truly appreciate their willingness to make me happy. Jennifer asked me what Dr. Hill is going to do for me and if I'm happy with the solution offered. They genuinely show they care about the people they help. - Closing thoughts: I started coming here when I lived walking distance in Midtown. And even though I now live closer to Decatur, I still make the trip here because they are truly one of the best dentist offices I've experienced. Unless I leave Atlanta, I will continue coming here. The drive is worth every mile. read more

I went to this practice for routine dental work, but had an incident a few years ago that caused me to leave. I had a composite filling on the side of a tooth and it fell out. I had had it in there for like 20 years and the color matched. So well in fact I didnt even realize it fell out for some time. I had it repaired here. The job was quick and when I got home I noticed the color did not match. I waited some time to see if it would change but it didnt. I remember the appt for this was at 4:00pm and I was out like about 4:12p. Quite fast I thought. A little extra time working on a decent color match would have been nice. I called and was offered a redo since the color match was so bad. So I went in and had a re-do. Again, the color did not match. Again I was offered a redo but at this point I decided why bother. One would think if a dental practice is doing a re-do they would get it right, but that wasnt the case. It is amazing that technology in the last century was able to match a color but here years later they could not. This happened more than 3 years ago, but I still notice the mis match color and it still bothers me but I just decided to live with it. I just saw all these glowing reviews here and thought I would speak up! The staff at the front desk were excellent always each visit, but with work like this I had to bail out of there. I will post 2 pics so you can be the judge yourself and form your own opinion as to if this is normal dentisty or not. Its the oval area on the lower left tooth that is the composite. read more

Sometimes you hate your dentist and other times you just love them. Dr. Chip L Hill, DDS is awesome, I love the front desk staff and my hygienist. I always look forward to coming to their office, I had a few issues with not flossing and my hygienist schooled me, and gave me a solid understandable verbal beating that made me floss daily!!! ANd I thank you for that. Overall vibe of this dental office is friendly and welcoming. My cleaning visits almost feels like a therapy session and thats how relaxing this dental office is. read more

I have been impressed with the work this office has done with my partner thus far. Today I decided to visit this office as a patient, and I couldn't be more pleased! The front desk staff was kind and professional. I waited only a few minutes and still wound up going back 20 minutes early. The staff was very professional. They kept me informed of everything going on and immediately set up a treatment plan. This office was very affordable ($1500 less than my previous dentist for a full crown). That combined with their kindness and professionalism will keep me coming back! Thank you for all your hard work! read more

I called in to get a price on how much a regular cleaning would cost-was told $422. What? Did I hear that correctly? And $499 for a take-home whitening kit?...Where are you even pulling your prices from? No thank you. Lost a new customer before you even got one! read more

Outstanding dental office - from the front office, to the dental hygienist to Dr Hill this is a professional and highly progressive team.

This dentist is amazing! I cannot recommend them enough. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and conversation. They already had me ready to go and all my information from filling out my appointment request online. I didn't even have to sit down and wait! All of the staff is so friendly! We chatted and laughed throughout my entire appointment. They are quick and efficient. I was in and out within 30 minutes. You do not have to worry about them trying to nickel and dime you - it's clear they care about their patients and will only provide whatever treatment is necessary. Parking: Garage below the office, they will validate your parking. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Hill and team for the past few years. They are by far the best dentist I have ever been to. The entire staff is extraordinarily nice and are always a pleasure to see (pretty impressive for a dentist). Dr. Hill does an excellent job of explaining what is going on with our teeth and reviewing your oral care plan. He also uses the latest technologies. I don't know if they specifically cater to the gay crowd or not, but i believe they and their patient base is predominantly gay - so if you aren't comfortable with that then this isn't the place for you. (I have never been put in any awkward situations from staff or patients) read more

I called and setup a "cleaning" appointment approximately 2 weeks in advance. David was the representative that I was working with from the beginning. I had my insurance send over an Explanation of Benefits and David even called me back to verify that everything was covered 100%. When I spoke with David, I made him aware that I had just gotten braces put on 3 months ago and that I was overdue for a cleaning by at least 2 months or so--thinking that it would require more time for the appointment. I was 6 minutes late to my appointment because I couldn't figure out which tower their office was in. I looked back at our emails and the email signature didn't have the tower along with the suite number and there are 4 towers. No biggie I'm thinking after concierge offered to send me in the right direction. I get in the office only to find out that my insurance is being re-verified. I waited patiently in the waiting room until I was called to come back. I get to the back and x-rays were taken minus the ones I had emailed in on the same day that I scheduled the appointment (with verification from David of receiving them). The dental hygienist (Barb Burket) does a few exams and then tells me she wasn't aware that I had braces and she was completely unaware that I expressed initially that I was overdue for a cleaning. So she proceeds to tell me that I need to be scheduled to come back for a "cleaning". I'm like, what was the point of expressing that I needed a "cleaning" appointment along with the fact that I had braces and was overdue for a cleaning??? Apparently my expressions were not notated and I was put in for a cleaning appt that someone without braces or an overdue cleaning would get. To top it off, they charged me for the x-ray that I had already sent in (they did take it off after I brought it to their attention). Then they charged me for an exam evaluation and when I asked for the summary/interpretation, they claimed that there were no notes even though I listening to what the hygienist was telling the dental assistant to put in the computer during my exam. So they finally printed it off after telling me that the next dentist will do it again--LOL. Sounds like they're good at double charging!!! Another client walks in while I'm waiting on the printout and the first thing that was asked was "do you need a parking pass for the garage?" I must look like I don't drive because I had to ask for it since it wasn't offered upon arrival not exit. Was NOT a good experience considering I had to take off work to get a cleaning that never happened. No one even asked me why it was that I was uncomfortable with scheduling the next appointment! read more

Really like this dentist. I've had A previous experience that didn't go so well but this office and the dentist were great. Love the office and all of the modern equipment. They made me feel at home. read more

So I've only been in for my initial consultation so far, so I can't tell if they're going to pull out the chainsaw when I go back but I figured they deserved five stars before they ruin my life and I hate them forever (just kidding!). It's been a few years since I went to the dentist. Yeah, that's how all these stories start, right? I knew my mouth was a mess, which was exactly the reason why I avoided going. Cue the endless loop of destructive reasoning. I finally gave in and knew that I had to go if I wanted to be able to chew solid food much longer. I dreaded it for weeks in advance. Approximately 8 seconds into my first conversation ever with this office, Trisha had me mostly at ease (which is saying a lot, I'm pretty high-strung when I'm nervous). I made my appointment and by the next morning had resumed dreading it. By the time I got to the office about a week later, I was prepared for them to bring out the sledgehammer and just knock all my teeth out of my head, because my imagination had worked itself up to. I got to the office the morning of my appointment and Trisha did her thing once again and had me mostly calmed down before I went into the chair with the hygienist Barb. Long story short, I hate the dentist. That will never change. BUT, if I ever have to go to the dentist, it's going to be this one. Like I said, I've only been in for a consult so far, so I can't speak to how amazing they are at everything else, but I know that them being able to somehow fool me into being ok with going to the dentist is nothing short of magic. And once they have me all doped up on the conscious sedation for my next appointment when they start the work I'm sure we'll all be having a good time. read more

This is my dentist and he rocks. Friendly, funny, gentle, and absolutely never makes me feel uncomfortable. The whole staff rocks. When their hands aren't in my mouth - we're always yapping about something. They have good pain killers and aren't afraid to use them. I swear I always had to beg my previous Dr. to give me meds - I have very sensitive teeth. My old Dentist used to be like, "Oh don't be a baby." But when I say, is this going to hurt me? They tell me - based on my pain tolerance - and if I ask for pain killers I get them. Barb, my hygienist, is top notch. She doesn't yell at me, she doesn't say you need to do this. Her mindset is simple, "What's happening to cause this and what can I do to help you?" I'm 29 years old and she basically told me that I've been flossing my teeth wrong all these years because no one ever showed me how to floss right. Kudos to her for showing me and caring enough to do so. Honestly, there's probably a whole bunch more I could say about them (all good) so if you want to know anything just ask. And if you decide to check them out - tell 'em Erin Marshall sent ya! read more

I have been going to Dr. Hill and his team for over 10 years and LOVE them! Besides my general cleanings every 6 months with the best hygienist, Barb, I have also had lots of other work done including several crowns, and cavity replacements (from silver to white) and have been very pleased... Trisha at the front desk is a pleasure to work with on insurance and on making and changing appointments (she understands that changes do happen). I would highly recommend them! I don't even work in midtown anymore but I still make the drive from Duluth... because they are worth it! Also, they pay for your parking so in this case its the BIG things and the little things that make the experience great. read more

Doesn't everyone hate visiting the dentist? Dr Hill and his staff will change that. Everyone from Dr Hill to the folks at the front desk are a pleasure. Scheduling appointments is a breeze, parking is validated and the hygienists are full of personality. I leave with a sparkling smile each time. I have braces and assumed that the arch wire would need to be removed prior to my cleaning. No way! They have a super cool machine that blasts the wire and brackets with a cleaning solution. Safety googles were provided. :) Go see these folks now! You won't be sorry. read more

The staff is amazing, everyone is very friendly and thorough. Great atmosphere, it doesn't have that smelly clinical look and feel. But ultimately it's the friendly people that make you feel at ease that makes the difference. read more

Has done a very good job on my dental issues. Unfortunately, I feel like the office is in a very difficult location. The parking garage and the time it takes to get through the maze of two buildings in Midtown is a bit weird. Nice people in the office, but a small office. Dr. Hill is really good. read more

Can't speak highly enough of these folks. Trisha at the front desk is a star, and took the time to explain their process and put me at ease (I used to loathe going to the dentist after a bad experience at another office). Melissa was my hygienist - absolutely amazing and easy to speak with. Really enjoyed talking with her :) Dr. Hill is great as well. Really looking forward to my next check up! read more

My wife and I have been patients for a few years now and have mostly enjoyed our experience. Barb is a great dental hygienist and I always ask for her because she's awesome. Can't say the same for some of the other dental hygienists at the practice. Dr. Chip is super nice but I haven't had any serious dental work yet so mostly he comes in and say hi and reviews what Barb does - meaning I can't say anything about his surgical skills. I would give 5 stars except for some of the painful cleanings I've had from another hygienist at the practice (not Barb) and for the difficulty in scheduling appointments or really just getting someone from the reception on the phone. Also it seems their http://www.chip2th.com/ website is down and the http://www.chiphilldds.com site is kinda 1990s imho. read more

I've only been coming here for a year but the service has been really good and I never have to wait. They give out a good little swag bag each visit which is nice. I ride my bicycle to their office so it's very convenient for those in midtown. read more

Although I no longer live in Atlanta, Dr.Hill has been and probably always will be the absolute BEST dentist I've ever had. Before I went to see Dr.Hill, I hadn't been to a dentist in 7 years!!! and I dreaded it. I knew I was going to need a lot of work done and I dreaded the scolding and the inevitable pain that reminded me of exactly why I hadn't been to a dentist in the last 7 years. But Dr. Hill and his staff proved me wrong. They were wonderful. And yes, I needed a crap load of work done but it was legit and I actually fell asleep during a couple of fillings and a root canal. Since then, I moved to New York. Now I had the unfortunate experience of going from the world's BEST dentist to what seemed like the world's worst dentist. She drill into a tooth that wasn't numb yet (and I told her it wasn't) but she decided to 'test' it by putting her whole weight and shoulder into pushing the drill into my tooth. Then, when I jumped out of my skin, tears streaming down my face, she called me a 'crawler'! I was now being pushed into doing a bunch of procedures that just didn't sound right and not knowing what to do, I called Dr. Hill. Despite not having seen him in almost two years and knowing that I probably wouldn't be going back to see him again since I lived out of state, he still took the time to answer every one of my questions thoroughly and plainly enough for me to understand. He equipped me with the knowledge and lexicon I needed to go to any dentist feeling prepared and would not feel bullied or pressured into getting work done that wasn't needed. I sure miss Dr.Hill but he has most definitely set the standard for dentists in my book. read more

Just like every other sane person, I'm terrified of the dentist. I just switched dental insurance companies and made an appointment for my initial x-rays and cleaning. The staff is awesome! Everyone was incredibly friendly, there's never been a wait (albeit I've only been there twice), and it was the most enjoyable teeth cleaning I've ever had. Horrible experiences in the past have left my gums bleeding and me hating the hygienist with a passion unrivaled, but Barb was very gentle. She's the best! read more

They rock. I've been going to Chip Hill for over 5 years. The staff are great. Trisha is amazing. She's extremely helpful and always keeps you informed regarding your insurance. First the good. The staff front and back are great. Very caring, patient, attentive and will to help how they can. My hygienist was friendly and thorough. Dr Hill does not have my confidence though. He placed 4 veneers, the placement never felt right or smooth. Dr Hill tried to address this by filling more and more of the veneer away, so much so that they are now failing after just a few years. read more

After three years without going to a dentist (yes, three years) I finally bit the bullet and found one that had good ratings online (Yelp, etc.) and was within a few blocks of my office. From the moment I made the appointment over the phone, I knew I was going to enjoy this as much as one can enjoy a trip to the dentist. Receptionist Trisha and hygienist Melissa were just warm and fun, and made it seem like a really fun place to work. Dr. Hill was also a hoot, though since I was in for mostly cleaning I saw little of him. Because of my neglect, I had to endure an uncomfortable deep cleaning procedure, but the staff just made it bearable. Melissa explained everything she was doing, which I really appreciated. Dentists have been sticking pointy crap in my mouth for 33 years and no one has ever stopped to explain to me what everything did. She didn't just give me the obligatory "you need to floss blah blah" lecture, but actually showed me how to floss properly. I didn't remotely feel like I was just being rushed out as quickly as possible, which is so rare at a medical appointment these days. It was a level of care I never thought I'd find. I can honestly say that I look forward to going to the dentist again, how weird is that? read more

Buyer beware! I was charged for aprocedure that Delta Dental has since informed me that he wasn't supposed to charge me directly for. And now I'm on the 8th month of trying to get my reimbursement from Delta Dental. They guy at the dentist's office keeps putting the wrong information in the form, he mailed it to the wrong address once - it seems like they're stalling. They go from being oh so sorry to defensiveness. They said, well they reimburse the Dentist, not the Patient - So they may get paid twice for this. I have filed a grievance with Delta Dental, but am not sure if it will amount to anything. read more

These guys are fantastic. The whole staff is always friendly. I recommend them to everyone. They most certainly have my future business.

"WOW" my first I time at Dr Hill's office today. I had been going to the same practice in Dallas, Tx for years. My first experience was with David, who set me up with an appointment and emailed me all the forms. He made it all real easy and they followed up with appointment reminders through emails. Today I walked in and was greeted by Trisha who was so warm and welcoming. She was even more excited when she saw my paper work was already entered into the computer. (Thank you David). Then I went off with Dannah and Devon who took X Rays and cleaned my teeth. They look awesome (thanks Devon). Finally I met Dr Hill. He said the right words - everything looks good, see ya in 6 months. It was the perfect visit. Everyone has a good time and make you feel so comfortable. You forget you are at the dentist. Dr Hill, you and your staff are rock stars. Look forward to seeing you all in 6 months. read more
