I dealt with Reynolds Electric a couple times over the last week, and it was a great experience. My…read morefather in-law originally called them for me, so I had no choice in using them or an opinion. But to be honest, I wouldn't have known who to call myself. They showed up within an hour of my father in-law calling to do the estimate. We lost power to a solid 50% of the house, and desperately needed it fixed. Doug was the electrician who came out, and quickly figured out the problem. He talked to us and explained it all. Although electricity isn't my specialty, so I'm not sure exactly what he did. Which is fine by me too. Lol. He fixed the problem, and that's what I care about. They had to do some digging, which is a different company and billed separately. But they have contracted companies they use for digging, plumbing, and a couple other things, as I understood it. So they take care of that for you and coordinating schedules, and such. This makes it easy for the homeowner to skip dealing with that. Electrical issues are stressful enough, and them handling the additional contractors is just an extra weight lifted. My *only* complaint is it took time to schedule the digging company. But honestly, it wasn't bad. Waiting any length of time just sucks when you have no stove or hot water. So a few days feels more like a few years. Plus patience is not one of my strongest personality traits anyway. Diggers showed up and they were also great. Super nice, personable guys who didn't mind questions, conversation, watching, nothing bothered them. Once the digging was done, and the actual electric work started, it only took a few hours. Doug stuck around so I could test everything once it was done too. He really made a stressful time just a little bit easier, and there is always something to be said for that. I have to say that I really appreciate the organization and patience. My in-law's were paying for everything, but my husband and I own our home, and I was the only one home. So they ended up calling and texting three different people about everything and handled it well. They seem ridiculously expensive when getting the estimate, I won't lie. There was some definite sticker shock there. But after seeing the work actually done first hand, and experiencing the customer service provided, it was absolutely worth the price. It's rare I'm proved wrong like that, but it definitely happened in this case. After this experience, Reynolds is the only electrical company I will call as long as I live in Eugene/Springfield area. We called this company by mistake, since it came up with a search of Florence plumbers. They offered to send someone out right away to fix the problem. My husband had done some troubleshooting, and when he discussed it with Tanner, he was impressed that Tanner had a good understanding of what he had done, asked some good questions, and proposed a solution. Tanner was amazing. He went above and beyond to resolve our issues, including diving into the lake to pull the pump out. I can't say enough good things about Tanner, and he will be our first call the next time we have a problem. He specializes in heat pumps, if I remember correctly, and really did an amazing job. Also, he found that the place where the wiring from the house goes down to the lake, into a junction box, and then from there is wired into the pump line that goes from that junction box and into the lake. Those wires, where they were joined, were black and fried, which was done by a well-respected Florence company. The sleeve they used to join the wiring, rather than using a wire nut, did not protect the wiring. I had called this same Florence company when we initially had the problem. We needed a specific controller, and the lady who answered the phone said she didn't know if they had the controller and didn't know how to look for it. She also said they didn't sell parts. We were just trying to confirm who could help us and who couldn't, as far as having the part. She sounded like she was on drugs and every conversation with her was frustrating. Thank God for Tanner!
